by scott1234 on 08/15/2017Run away from this dealer. They are [non-permissible content removed]! They sell cars they do not even look at let alone service! I bought a vehicle from Discovery Auto Center in Tampa on July 22nd. I live in Melbourne FL and I have had… an incredibly horrible experience. As an owner of several businesses myself as well as owning several franchised auto dealerships myself in my younger years I would never have delivered a vehicle like they did. The saleperson Bob told me they totally went through the car with their 60 point inspection etc. Well I picked up the vehicle and had a 160 mile drive home. First of all, I bought a 2006 Maserati with 35k miles on it. I noticed right off that the clutch was bad (which is $5k to replace) halfway home. I asked him if that was checked out and he said yes and it was fine. When I parked the car in my driveway I realized the parking brake did not work at all. This type vehicle needs a parking brake. Later when I looked in the trunk I noticed there was no spare, no jack, no lug nut wrench, nothing. I called Bob and until I threatened bad reviews being plastered over the internet I was out of luck. Then he said to bring it back to Tampa. 160 miles away with no spare etc....and a bad clutch. He would not do anything about the clutch but the parking brake they would look at and might give me a spare. I told him I would find a place locally and have them call him. He did not commit to anything. So I ended up getting sick and had hardly drove the car until last Friday when I got up and around and drove it about 10 miles and the warning lighted up on dash saying the car would not switch gears and it was low on transmission fluid. The car locked up and can not be driven. There has been no leaking in driveway etc so obviously it was low on trans fluid when they delivered the car to me. I paid $21,200 for an 11 year old car with only 35k miles on it and I have been conned and treated horribly bad. Obviously, I guess they unloaded a car with major issues they did not want to fix to a sucker that lived out of town. It would not be so bad if it was a dealer that was strapped with cash fallen on hard times even though I would still be very upset but to make it worse Bob bragged about how they own all of their 4.5 million inventory outright and how they have the ability to take care of their customers because the owers were wealthy etc...so this is just pure greed unless he lied to me about this as well. I am a struggling business owner that bought his dream car and now can not even afford to fix it because I was conned and have no transportation but an old work truck that hardly runs. I put less than 400 miles on it and almost half of that was driving it home. Stay away from this dealer. look at all the reviews on the BBB statuing the same kind of experience. I wish I would have.Satisfied buyet
by Msdlady on 05/21/2017I reside in Los Angeles and was a little hesitant to purchase online. I recently purchased a CL 63 AMG from Discovery Auto in Tampa, from Los Angeles. I must say, I am truly impressed with the level of impeccable customer service i… received from Johnny (B) Bowers Sales, and Mark Sommers in Finance. They took care of my needs and made the car buying process, seamless. I had a friend who live near Tampa, test drive the car. Once, i reveived the green light, that it was a great buy, we started the paperwork. They overnighted the contract, I signed, and they delivered my car to West Palm Beach, with no hesitations. I would like to thank they whole team.
About our dealership
I have since been contacted by the dealership GM Bruce and he is attempting to fix what may have been a big misunderstanding. They are coming to pick the vehicle up with a flat bed and say they will get back with me tomorrow. I will update this posting after seeing what happens. Our conversation went well and he seemed to want to help with my situation
