it has been well over 10 years since i purchased a vehicle, so of course a lot of thought went into my decision to choose Mercedes Benz of Pembroke Pines. My search began during the pandemic and i knew it would be a Mercedes. Needless to say i was very confident and educated with the decision. I inquired about dealer specials but was shot down quickly. the night before i actually reached out to the sales team through the electronic assistant and at the time there were dealer specials being offered. i was a little disappointed. the salesperson could have been forthcoming. good experience but could have been better, was also disappointed to read that unbeknownst to me there was a fee for $106.00 for a scholarship fund that wasnt disclosed. i ended up purchasing a loaner vehicle with a little over 5,000 miles.

Purchased a lemon

I purchased a CPO from Mercedes of Pembroke Pines that is non-operational. I drove the vehicle for 4 days after purchasing it only to get it towed to their service center. Over six weeks later they claimed it was repaired, only for it to die on me AGAIN one week later. I requested to return the vehicle as they clearly sold me a lemon but was told I am out of the 5 day return window. I can’t believe I spent 6 figures on a car that doesn’t run and now need a lawyer to address the issue.

Very very disappointed and unhappy!

I purchased a 2023 Chevy Corvette from this wonderful establishment on on 6/17. It took almost 5 hours to get things done. At around 10pm everything was complete. I decided to leave my X5 there and drive the Vet home. After I grabbed some things from the suv I got in the vet but by that time everyone that worked there was gone. To my disbelief the Corvette started making this horrible screeching sound when applying the brakes in the parking lot as I was about to pull out. I was very concerned and also had a 90 minute drive home so I called my sales rep Julian. He proceeded to tell me in a text from him not to worry about it because they changed the pads and rotors when serviced. I thought that was interesting since I was given a copy of what AutoNation did in service to the car prior to putting on the lot but it showed nothing about the brakes and rotors. I drove the car 110 miles home hoping what Julian told me to be true. Since I was spending $90,000 for a 2023 vehicle I called my sales rep again because I was very concerned about the noise the car was making. It’s embarrassing when you attempt to stop and it starts making that noise, I have heads turning left and right but it’s not because of how the car looks. I was told that I had 5 days to return the car and not one word was said that it was also 250 miles unfortunately they left that part out. I told the rep I wanted to try to resolve this since I had 5 days to return the car. So Julian told me to bring the car back in and they can look at it so I said ok not realizing i live 110 miles away and knew nothing of the 250 mile limit to return which was very smart on there part since they knew how far I had to travel to get there. So I drive the car back down to the dealer and they tell me service will look at it. I asked for the document that showed they changed the brakes and rotors and the rep said he would look into it. After sitting there for a couple hours Julian brought the keys back and told me what they found. He said they didn’t replace the brakes and rotors but since the previous owner had painted the calipers, that’s what was causing the horrific screeching noise. I took it for what it’s worth but spoke to numerous service advisors and mechanics that told me that was a complete lie. I called back and asked for the service record of that diagnosis but was never given. Julian told me they checked the brakes for safety and everything was fine and they couldn’t help me. 3 days after spending $90k at an AutoNation dealership I’m being treated like I just purchased a $1000 car at a buy her pay here used car lot on the side of the road. I was very upset because it is not only embarrassing when the car comes to a stop but who knows could be a safety concern. I called Julian again and he was off so I asked for the used car manager who’s name is Renee or at least I believe that’s the name. I’m not to sure because I’ve left multiple messages for Renee and I’m sure that person is very very busy because as of 7/1/23 I still have got a call back. I just kept getting put on hold or the run around every time I called. So frustrated I finally asked the receptionist to please let me speak to a manager. I finally was able to speak with another manager Miguel. When i explained the situation and what I was told about the painting of the calipers he started laughing hysterically and said that would never happen nor be the case here. So he proceeded to tell me that he would look into it and make a call. I’m not sure if he spoke to Renee behind the scenes or what but I eventually get a call back from another employee at AutoNation who politely told me that it was a used car and I exceeded the 250 miles and they wouldn’t do anything more to help fix the situation and I pretty much had to take it on the chin and figure it out myself. Wow 3 days after spending $90k on a 2023 vehicle I was very sad to hear that. So I’m stuck trying to make the vehicle I purchased stop squeaking on my own as I still haven’t heard anything back from this wonderful dealership. I’m in contact with some people and looking at other avenues to rectify the vehicle if AutoNation is going to act like a rinky dink used car lot. Renee is so so busy i bet but I still haven’t heard back either smh. The only reason I’m giving 1 star is because Bo the finance manager was great and I don’t think it will let me choose none.
