Straightforward and helpful with no surprises

In a single day we went to two dealerships, Toyota of Orlando and Sport Subaru, and the difference in the way we were treated was substantial. In context, this was in the frenzy just as the tariffs were starting, so there were loads of… buyers who had moved up their purchases to snag existing pre-tariff inventories.
Toyota of Orlando shuffled us between sales people who spouted talking points while showing us models and trim levels we had not asked for, followed by pushy and aggressive finance people asking the old "what can I do to get you in this car?" chestnut. Literally. A very unpleasant experience. Sport Subaru had us dealing with one rep only for car showing, test drive, and pricing. And curiously, despite the sales environment, they were still giving discounts, which they were quite upfront about. (In the end, we still had to go to the business office to sign documents and give the check, but the out-the-door price was already set, so no last-second surprises). Also the tone and tenor of the events were much calmer and steadier.
Sport Subaru had a decent selection of models and trim levels and color combos to choose from, so we ended up with the size, style, and functionality we were looking for.

BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE

He is so helpful and knowledgeable. The whole staff are friendly and professional. Car… buying usually isn’t enjoyable but it sure was with Orlando. He made sure to take care of us offering refreshments and snacks, he had a vast knowledge of the cars, and my husband and I were able to test drive the crosstrek and forester. My husband and I ultimately fell in love with the forester but we wanted a specific trim level, color, and package it was such an easy process to get the car ordered and it came in sooner than expected! Financing was a breeze with Hector he explains everything so well and is friendly and professional. Touring Sport Subaru with Laura Olivieri
by George Markos on 03/15/2024I walked into Laura Olivieri's office and told her I found a Forester Touring vehicle that I wanted to buy. I searched the deals at two other Subaru dealers near me and Sport Subaru had a better inventory of SUVs and at a much better price.… They were also the only dealer with the vehicle I wanted. It is so luxurious with all the bells and whistles. I am retired and need the new technology that this one has to keep me safe on the road. Laura coordinated the purchase with all of the other team members there and we drove home in the sweetest ride we have ever had. We even took the back roads home by Rock Springs to enjoy the view through the winding curves and beautiful landscape. My per-owned Outback is a good buy!
by Koh on 03/08/2024I have had this 2018 Outback for about 2weeks and I love it. Even after 6 years of use (by previous owner), it still runs like a new. My sales guy AJ was nice and not pushy and honest but showed features and slight blemishes (which was a… little worn side door panel) and gave me the chance to compare with a new models and convince me and negotiated with his boss for me to afford this beauty. Easy Purchase

What makes or breaks any new or used car dealership is the owner as he is Captain of the ship. Best car buying experience
by Donna on 10/20/2023David White is the best sales associate! This dealership is wonderful.I purchased a new Forester. I was nervous about buying a new car since I had my own car for 13 years. But the entire process from working with David to meeting the… manager was great. David spent a lot of time with me, went over all concerns, showed great patience showing me the car. He was very thorough. He took great care to help me keep within my budget (which was very important) and present all options. Then he showed me around the dealership, walked me to the service area to meet the service manager, Paul, who was incredibly friendly and assured me of great service for the future. The finance person, Mr. Fresby was very nice, friendly and explained everything I was signing. At the end of all this the manager came over to shake my had and welcome me to the Subaru family. This was a great car buying experience. But the most amazing part was David White, who was so knowledgeable, kind and patient. I love the fact that I will be meeting with Daymon (also very nice) to learn all the details of my new Forester. Thank you all at Sport Subaru.Subaru Crosstrek is FAST AND HOT!!!
by Michael and Co on 09/03/2023My experience ended up with buying a new Subaru Crosstrek. Hell Yeh! Happy as a puppy woof! It all started with phone call to book my visit. When I came in I got Cris. What a guy. Im a salesman my self so pushing techniques won't work out… on me and I wouldn't come back so he just showed me the vehicle or took me around on a couple of test drives like I was his brother. After we closed down some options suitable for me. He showed me Everything inside out in the car and he did well + Subaru is a well made car. I tried few other cars and came back for my Crosstrek. I'd Like to say a few words about Kailed and Daymon and especially Marshall in parts department who all together made my experience more pleasant and unforgettable. They truly care to help you out there. I highly recommend this car dealership to anyone that want to buy a good car without pressure and hustle attitude like in some dealerships I felt.

We had been looking for a new vehicle for over a year and this was the first place that had zero pressure and all the helpful people we… could ask for. From Angel Diaz who was with us from our test drive to our final purchase, and Jon Frisby who walked us patiently through all the paperwork, we could not have had a better experience. We wanted a safe and reliable vehicle for our son who is off to college. When we went to Don Mealey Subaru, Hector… greeted us right away and provided us with great customer service and didn’t pressure us to anything we were not looking for. Having done my research I knew the car I wanted and this dealership stood out among others with Consumer Reports. Alex and the other staff did… not disappoint and I placed an order in April for the car. I was told to expect it in July and it arrived at the end of June. No high pressure from Alex or the finance manager. Alex spent time to thoroughly explain the many features, introduced me to his supervisor and the service manager. Each who sincerely offered their services. Oh! And yes...I love, love, love my new Forester.Everything as promised in these trying times!

He kept me updated, it did take 6 months to get here, but I see very few of these cars in Orlando due to current allocations. Overall the… sales portion was mostly quick and painless, spent much less time at the dealership in 2022 than at Toyota of Orlando in 2015. The sales tactics were not extremely pushy, and I was always given the final choice within a short discussion.
