Customer Service is not a Priority

Customer service does not seem to matter. Called for info on a CR-V Hybrid that was shown as in stock on the Coggin website. Verified with the salesperson that the car was indeed in stock at the dealer. Make an appointment to see the car. Drive for 1 hour (with tolls) to see the car. Sit for a hour in the sales office. Finally told that the car was “in transit” and due in soon. Drive home (another hour and tolls). Receive a call from one of the sales managers that the car is in and sitting in front of the dealership. Make another appointment for 2 days later. Received another call the next day, they need a deposit to hold the car. Paid the deposit and verified our appointment for the next morning. Drove an hour to the appointment and find the car is STILL NOT THERE. Dealer says sorry. Received a take it or leave it price for the to be delivered car. No negotiation. We were repeatedly misled (I would say lied to, but let’s be nice) about the availability of the car. Not agreeing on a price is not a big deal, it happens as part of the process. What we didn’t like was being repeatedly misled (misinformed) about the availability and location of the car. We were prepared to pay cash for the vehicle. Instead, We wasted 4 hours driving (with gas and tolls) and 3+ hours in the dealership, with no car. Coggin Honda of Orlando obviously has enough business that individual customer service is not a priority. BTW, the salesperson, Melvin, was nice and worked hard, but was put in an impossible position by his management.

Amazing staff

My experience with Coggin Honda was priceless. My salesman Philip Jean-Bastiste was very helpful. He went above and beyond with everything. Such a smart and helpful salesman, he made everything easy. The finance gentleman Mike S was so professional and wonderful. As for the gentlemen who handled all the paperwork Jose was very courteous and amazing. They all made my time with them memorable. The guys there are awesome. I have bought several cars from them and will continue in the future. Thank you all so much.

Used Vehicle Purchase- Saty Away-Go elsewhere

I was in email/phone contact with these guys about a used Honda on their lot. I was assured by someone called Clint that all maintenance Service was up to date and the car was checked out by Honda techs and everything worked. I agreed on a price with a guy called Rob and I told them I would come down and pay cash if it was as represented. I rented a car, came down and drove it- Rob had an obligation so a guy called Tyler worked the deal all seemed fine. On looking under the hood I noticed it was missing a reservoir cap on the washer fluid. Tyler found one on another car on the lot that fit it and put it on. This should have been a red flag. I buy the vehicle at the agreed price and left. Immediately after getting on the interstate I tried the wiper-washer- did not work- same with rear washer pump- doesn't work either. Its not a fuse because the wipers work. I phone Tyler from the highway immediately who assures me they will get back with me about it (he and Rob and Coggin) since it was agreed that everything worked on the vehicle. They never called back. Left Rob multiple msgs on his cell phone- ignored them. Called the manager and left msg-ignored me. These are of course people who were tripping over themselves to help me before the purchase. Furthermore I've since found out the transmission has never been serviced or the differential on this AWD vehicle. This operation is just pathetic down there- not so much as a courtesy return call immediately after the purchase. The washer pumps can actually get into some expense if it is a switch problem on the steering column so I'll be sorting this out and hoping for the best on that. Also- they sprayed so much disgusting "car scent" in the vehicle that will not go away or be cleaned out I am having to ozone treat it to get rid of it. Avoid These People!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New car purchase

I bought a new Honda Accord 2016 from coggin Honda and had an excellent experience with my salesman And in the entire process ! The New 2016 Honda Accord is just the Best accord I've had to date !! I've been driving Honda Accord since 1989 !!! This dealership was extremely helpful in getting me in my 2016 Accord !!! I Love this Accord mostly because it drives amazing and is affordable Luxury !!!! I highly recommend this car to everyone !!!!!!!!!!

Did not fix Specific Issue NO REFUND

Took car for repair for a specific issue and it was not fixed. Brought back a second time and was told 99% sure 2nd repair would fix issue and didn't. I took my car to Coggin Honda Orlando on 1/11/16 to figure out why after an hour of driving my car, I would turn it off and go back to start it and it won't stay on unless I give it gas. The service adviser said they would put it on a diagnostic machine. He called me later that day and told me it was the computer to the car and a radiator relay. I asked him is this going to take care of my problem of the car turning on/off after an hour and he said yes. The service adviser had to order the computer to the car and that took a week to come in. I dropped it off the morning of 1/20/16, and I got it back that evening after work.I paid $1112.70 for this first repair. I drove my car home, changed my clothes and went to go to church. As I was getting ready to go to church my car did the same thing again and wouldn't stay on. So, I text the service adviser to let him know the car was doing the same thing. He told me to bring my car back in and I told him I wouldn't be able to do it until January 25th. They put my car back on the diagnostic machine and he came back with another test that said it was something else wrong; the EGR valve and 02 sensor. I asked him again is this going to take care of the specific problem I had brought the car in for as I had already paid over $1K and they were now asking for more money for this additional repair. His reply was he was 99.9% sure that this would definitely take care of the issue. I told him to go ahead and get it done but questioned him again, was he really sure this would fix the problems. He replied, "Oh yeah, this will definitely take care of it." After a week without my car I went to pick it up Friday 1/29. He said they tested it and drove it and also left it on for a while and that the problem was fixed. I paid the additional fee of $397 for this second repair that was going to 99.9% fix the issue. I was told this was a reduced at cost amount as I told them to see what they could do about the cost for the second repair as their first attempt cost me over $1k and didn't fix the problem. I left there and went straight to church. From church I went to McDonald's, then finally went home. I pulled up to the driveway and told my daughter, "Wow, the car seemed like it really did get fixed this time." I went in the house and we soon realized we were missing food items. So I was going to go back to McDonald's and get what was missing. As soon as I got in the car and tried to turn it on, it wouldn't stay on. It was doing the same thing again. So I recorded it on my iPhone and text the video to the service adviser. He replied, "Damn it, bring it by tomorrow." I told him it would have to be after 2pm because I worked Saturday morning. I got there at 2:20pm the next day. I sat there for an hour and a half as they looked at the car. He took me into a room and said that there was nothing else they could find wrong with the car. So I asked "Do I get my refund, or can you put my parts back in?" He said "No because you needed the parts and they couldn't put old parts back in." My response was "So I just wasted $1509.70 and my car is still having the same issue daily?" I asked for my keys and left as they refused to honor their word to solve the problem after they had already received my payment and refused to refund me my monies since they never "fixed" my car.

Do Not waste your time

I requested a price quote from Edmunds and from their website. No one had responded even after 24 hours. I had to call them and they tell me that they no longer have the car even though they still show it on their website. They send me an email saying they tried to reach me. There is no log of a missed call or received call in my phone. In the mean time I receive a call from a third party. Their website and Edmunds still show the car is available.

Happy Customer, Beautiful Car

I went to Coggin Honda for my car purchase. After test driving, I fell in love with the 2016 CR-V. The staff worked with me to get a great price, took my trade-in and even were patient with me when I was indecisive about the color. I would fully recommend JR and his staff, especially Israel my salesman. They worked around my schedule so I could come in after work and stayed late so I could finish all the paperwork. They made me feel like I was the only one that mattered, even letting me take a picture with a big bow and going into detail to remind me of all the wonderful features and knobs of the vehicle before I drove off the lot. Thank you Coggin for making my first car buying experience wonderful!!! I am so proud of my car and feel safe driving a Honda :)

Buyer Beware

Buyer beware (used cars, not new) If your thinking about buying a used car from these people I ask you reconsider. My wife and I drove ~500 miles based on promises. Promises that the 2006 Toyota Sienna we were buying was in "Mint" condition, that the timing belt was "brand new" the "DVD Player works, the vehicle passed inspection with "Flying colors." Lie after lie. I drove a lemon off the lot and the check engine light came on two days later. I later came to find out that an old trick unscrupulous dealers do is to unplug the battery to buy a few days to deceive unsuspecting buyers. I took the vehicle to a local Toyota dealership and the bill (not including exterior damage that was not brought to our attention before we made the trip) was over $3500. The timing belt and water pump had not been replaced as promised and there were numerous other issues with the vehicle that any honest car dealer would have corrected before selling this vehicle on their lot. In an email the GM, Jerry Lovins, promised me "I'll make this right" and then ignores my emails and suddenly won't respond. I was told by the Service Manager, Mike M, that the GM gave him the go ahead for me to take in the vehicle to at a certified Toyota dealership for a $175 inspection and that this amount would be refunded to me. It has not been and now we can't even get them to respond at all. We wife and I are going to make it our personal mission to do everything we can to save others the heartache of dealing with [non-permissible content removed].

Jr. Henry and Eric

Jr. Henry is the manager and Eric provided service for my car. Both of them did an outstanding job. I''m very happy with the job and fee I paid for the services. Jr. Henry was very nice, kind and very professional. Jr. Henry is always there to help whenever I need help with my car. Eric did a great job and I'm happy with the work he's done.

be very careful

I received a mailing with a so so offer for an oil change and wiper blades for my Honda with 6k miles on it. Service rep was fine but when I got home I noticed the factory wiper arms were replaced with some really cheap aftermarket junk. Tried to call and get the other arms returned to me and can not get anyone to return my calls or to take ownership of the issue. This is the first and last time I will use this dealer and NOT recommend it. I also did not like how my car was whipped around and the emergency brake was not used when parked. If you are particular about your vehicle look elsewhere IMO.

Five Hours well spent

We had been prepared to purchase a vehicle the previous weekend, but other dealers told us we were not ready and then told us what we should be looking at and thinking. At Coggins, we had an appointment, our representative found out what we wanted and worked to meet our needs. They were very professional in helping us through all the paperwork.

I bought a Honda Fit this weekend 3/8/2015 and was very pleased with the service of the team. I was very hesitant on purchasing, but was reassured by Mike the salesperson that worked with me. I had a bad experience in the past and held on to my Honda Civic for 14 years, but it was time for the new car. Thanks Mike for everything!! Surprised, to say the least

I've been to the same Honda dealership's Service Center for the third time now. I called earlier in the day to see if they had my size of tires in stock in the brand and type I wanted and they looked it up and told me they were in stock. They also told me of a special they were having on the tires. I asked if they could squeeze me in for new tires on a Sunday and they did. I'm so grateful they were understanding, polite, and helpful when I asked them a few questions, especially since it's my first time owning a car. They weren't pushy, snobby, nor rude. The quality of work and parts, along with the details they pay attention to in their service, makes the few extra dollars (compared to other car service places) worth it. I can rest easy now whenever I make my long drive to work. Thank you guys!

Great car buying experience

Easy transaction. Efficient. Got a better car than what I built online for the same price as I was expecting. The salesman was knowledgeable and friendly. Considerate of my time. The loan processor was a novice, but he moved things along by seeking help. Overall, highly recommend this dealer.
