  • Effortless Purchase

5 out of 5 starsby Big Daddy on 06/07/2023

Came to the dealership wanting a vehicle they had in stock. Met with Wayne and he was a pleasant surprise. Not pushy, very accommodating and listened instead of talking. Very happy with our purchase. Will definately tell all my friends.

  • Stay away!

1 out of 5 starsby Tl on 04/05/2023

STAY AWAY!!! 2021 I purchased 2 cars from this dealer. Brought the Palisade in for service and their tech dented my hood. In addition, the paint coating was defective and bubbling off. Feb 4th I took my Palisade in for them to fix. What a MISTAKE! 1st time look bad, 2nd time I was told they put the heater to close to car,3rd time I was told a lamp fell on it. The service manager Danny said his people messed it up and he was taking to another dealer with a top-notch paint guy to be correct right for the 4th attempt. Feb 24th my wife picks it up. It was awful!! Didn’t match, sanding and blemish marks all over under the clear coat. They put a huge scratch in my from bumper and grill, and the entire car had overspray on it! The entire car!!! How? This was a top paint guys!! I spoke with John Seratilla the general manager of the dealership. He explained how they have two different divisions of the body’s shop and my car went to their detail division to get painted! What the heck! John said he would personally oversee it with Dennis (body shop manager) and get it right. He also informed me the last time my car never anywhere else they painted it again! So that was a lie! March 2nd I take the car back. John and Dennis promised they were overseeing it and it would be perfect because the good division of their body shop was painting it this time! It was supposed to be down the 20th. Fifth time painted. Oh, they saw something, so they needed a couple more days. I go to pick up the car on March 23rd after 6th attempt. Holly crap it looked awful! The paint did not match, they taped the grill insert and painted without disassembling it, leaving tape marks and overspray on the bumper, there were still scratches all over, sanding marks, and a lot of overspray all over the car still! I take the car to three collision centers and get estimates for $5500-10k to fix the damage the dealership did! I explain to John and Steve Ignowski (johns boss) your dealership damages my car and then your body shop botches 6 paint jobs on it. They said there is nothing wrong with it, and they would sell it just lie it was on their lot and no one would see it! Wow! I said look even if it was fixed perfect, it would still be depreciated value because it had paintwork done! John said oh no, no dealership would deduct for just paintwork to a car! That is a lie! Any dealer will deduct value for a car that has paintwork. The collision center could not even get a paint thickness gauge to stick the paint was so thick. He said it’s more then 2-3 times thicker than it can be. I requested the dealership to let me have the car repaired at the shop of my choosing and they refused. I speak John Seratilla, Steve Ignowski and Dennis. They go on to tell me how my car was painted in the detail part of their body shop. Wait the last two times John and Dennis were supposed to be personally overseeing it and it was to be painted in their best body shop! That was a lie! I say maybe I need to get an attorney involved, and I was told, “go ahead if you want, we have attorneys on retainer”! They forced me to spend more money to trade out of this car they damaged to get into a new one! They lie lie lie! 40 days they had my car and destroyed it and it cost me money!!! I have pictures and correspondence to prove my review!!! We need to stop these dealerships from taking advantage of hardworking people!!!
    • Since this post the dealership has reached out. They stepped up and resolved my issue making thing right. Thanks!

  • Deceptive Advertising

1 out of 5 starsby Disappointed lost customer on 05/21/2020

Beware of Napleton dealerships. My issue was with their Palm Beach Hyundai. Very deceptive advertising. I came from Port St. Lucie, 1 hour away only to be lied to. An advertised 2011 Toyota Camry for $6,499.00 magically turned into over $12,000.00, Instead of $2000 under KBB it was $4000 over. When I questioned the sales manager about the deceptive advertised price he said it was disclosed in the fine print state imposed dealer fees were not included in advertised price. What is a state imposed dealer fee?. These fees included a dealer prep fee of $1,875.00, some other dealer hardship fee over $2,000.00 and a compilation of doc fees, title fees, dealer impact fees.... It was ridiculous. All on a used vehicle. When I questioned them they condescendingly said I should know this. I offered a fair cash price over the advertised price plus tax and tag transfer fees, and reasonable profit and they laughed. My advice is to stay away from this family of dealerships. Yes, I understand a dealership needs to make a profit, but there are ways to honestly do business, and they are defiantly not honest.

  • Exorbinae Fees

1 out of 5 starsby JeffPrahm on 02/04/2019

Love the Ioniq but very unhappy with the added fees. We agreed on a sale price of $17250 plus tax, tag, and fees. I never expected the fees to add up to $5000. Is the Hyundai product so poorly made that the buyer must pay $5000 for maintenance insurance? My car payment is now $100 higher than I wanted and I payed $5000 too much for the car. After spending the day in dealerships, I signed papers that I probably shouldn't have.
    • Jeff, thank you for taking the time to leave us this detailed feedback. • Informative and Wonderful

    5 out of 5 starsby Yuki_Blaze on 06/02/2017

I went in to the dealership before I have read the reviews. Obviously some changes must have been made because Eric Williams was the most honest salesman I have ever met. Not once did he rush me, he asked me about what I was looking for and didn't take forever to help me find it. We had an awesome test drive and he worked really hard with his managers to get me a fair deal plus my trade. Maybe the staff was different at one time but if Eric was any indication of what they can really do then he can have my business every time.

  • WORST used car-buying experience in my LIFE!

1 out of 5 starsby AdamJohn on 05/15/2017

In short, I believe that the finance manager Lance Lafazan intentionally misrepresented what the dealership would do on a deal for a used vehicle I was interested in buying. In the full version of my story, (will be in other review sites and working to get it into the sun-sentinel) it’s pretty clear that Lance is either grossly incompetent, or intentionally deceitful. Either way, this is not a company I recommend doing business with. Some of the highlight facts of the situation: I live almost an hour from the dealership. I went in the afternoon to see their car and would need to come back at night with my wife if a deal was going to be made. The dealership appraised my car for a trade in and Lance told me that they could offer me $10,000. My car is worth more than that so I told him that that number is too low. Without hesitation he offered me $2000 more for my car and asked if that would still keep me interested. Which it did. They offered me a payment of $360 which is fine but it was more than I was interested in paying. My current payment is $320 and I was looking to try and keep it the same. My car salesman stopped Lance as he was walking by and told him what I was looking to pay. Without crunching any more numbers, in 30 seconds Lance said if we have good credit he can get us in at $320 a month. Then he asked if I was going to come back with my wife and kids that night to close the deal. “Should they get the car ready for me?” I will spare you the details in this review of what needed to happen to get a 5 year old, a 2 year old, and a sick (flu) wife all the way up to this dealership in the middle of the school/work week. It was not easy. After 30 minutes of us taking mental ownership of the car once we were back at the dealership Lance calls us over to deliver the bad news. Most people reading this know what Lance is about to say. Somehow, and he’s not sure how the numbers got all messed up in his system but he could not keep his end of the deal. It was not going to be $320 at 72 months; it was going to be $360 at 84 months. NOT HAPPENING! A long time ago I worked at a car dealership and I saw first had finance managers and salesmen pulling this stunt and others to get the most money out of people when closing a deal. Most people when they get all the way to the finish line and the deal is changed, they will still sign because they either want the car or need it so badly. Bait and switch. How could Lance just give me $2000 more for my car without clearing it with the used car manager? How could Lance calculate that my payment would be $40 a month less and exactly what I needed it to be without crunching anymore numbers? In my estimation it is either gross incompetence or intentionally deceitful. It could also be a little of column A and a little of column B. People do make mistakes, but I do not believe this is one of them. Lance was not delivering my family the “bad news” as someone who had made a mistake. His stance was indifferent. "I made a mistake so…sorry. Nothing I can do." It was this attitude that added insult to injury especially after the near 4 hours I would spend in the car that day hauling my family around just to be jacked around by Napleton Hyundai North Palm's Finance Manager on a phantom deal that never existed. I would like to believe that a company as large and as reputable as Napleton would operate at a higher standard than a corner lot used car dealership that uses underhanded tactics rather than good business practices. That said, I cannot be sure that is the case since they allow someone like Lance Lafazan to be the key person who decides on the structure of their auto loans. Moving forward I would recommend looking elsewhere for your next vehicle. Consider yourself warned Adam

  • This dealership is horrible!

    1 out of 5 starsby kerndog1 on 01/15/2017

Please do yourself a favor and read the complaints on this dealership on their BBB sites (for some reason they have two.) Read Yelp and Google NOT the sites that are paid to "manage their reputation." You will learn how many us had the same experience: lying about prices and lying overall, delays, chaotic and inept service, phony, cynical and hypocritical "customer service" snarky and disdainful attitudes, relentless pressure to buy stupid and cost ineffective extended, warranties, etc. They flat out defrauded us. I am 63 years old, honest in my business dealings and fair minded. This is the most thoroughly disgusting business I have ever dealt with. Run for your life!!
    • Thank you for reaching out to us. Your opinion plays an integral part in our customer service. If you'd like, please contact us to make your experience a positive one. Napleton's North Palm Hyundai, (561) 721-3800

  • Awful dealership - new vehicle purchase and service

    1 out of 5 starsby fromthe561 on 11/26/2016

I have bought a car here and had a bad experience. When I went to register my bluelink, somehow one of the salesmen had already used my availability so I could not sign up. ??? seriously??? I called in several times and no help. I finally gave up. Also, I have had a few service experiences with Napleton and none have been good. They always seem to turn into a sales opportunity for them. I also brought an older used vehicle to them back when I moved to FL and they told me it needed $8k worth of work. Found a good mechanic through my network and they guy looked it over and said all it needed was less than $1,000 worth. Back on the road and enjoyed the car for another three years.
  • Dishonest dealership

    1 out of 5 starsby Angler84 on 11/16/2016

Very disappointed with our purchase from north palm napleton Hyundai. My wife and I stopped in to see about turning in our lease as it was due in 2 months. During the time of negotiation We were promised by the sales manager that they would pay our last two remaining payments on our 2013 Elantra lease that we were going to turn in and also informed us we would not have to pay a wear and tear fee what so ever as long as we re-leased another car from them. Foolishly without getting those promises in writing we agreed. After a week passed by we still did not receive a check for the last two payments so I called the dealership and was told by a manager he would get right on it and call me back the next day or so to confirm that the check was in the mail. however we never received a call. The following week we received a bill in the mail from Hyundai for $$$ that was due for a wear and tear fee! I called napleton Back the next day to find out what was going on and they told us the same exact thing; we're sorry we'll have it taken care of right away. 2 more weeks go by with me now calling every day to check the status of not only when our check for the last 2 payments would be mailed out but now needed to know when they were going to take care of the wear and tear bill we received from Hyundai motor finance. After 2 months total of going back and forth with them they finally payed he wear and tear fee which they promised to do in the first place but never paid us the last two payments of our lease. I finally gave up on persuing them and just counted it as a loss. We ended up with a new Elantra and for the first two months of having it we paid the payment on it and the lease we no longer had. What a joke! Will NEVER do business with or recommend napleton again and will be sure to spread the word.
