Unfortunate
by Iwantanewcar on 02/11/2018I fully intended on purchasing a specific SUV when I visited and came in for a test drive. I had my 1 year old with me and I made it clear I have to discuss with my husband before I move forward. Then after the drive, things got rather… pushy fast. Then he brought over his manager who was [non-permissible content removed] and sat back in the chair not listening to me. I was finished at that moment. Sales is about relationship and trust. Missed it by a mile. Sincerity and being genuine is how to win trust and make a sale. Not hustling and being condescending. I have done my research and watched this car from the moment they listed it online. Dont try and sweet talk me and tell me its been there for x amount of time when we all know its been sitting on the lot. I dont like that sleezy feeling.Anything to make a sale
by Krista1234 on 07/20/2017Salesperson lied about the final out the door price. When asked if there are any finance fees he said that there wasn't any.. Didn't notice the extra $40 until too late the next day. I would never recommend a dealer that lies when asked… a direct question.Hello Krista, and thank you for your review. We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service being, honest, communicative and open with our customers during their car buying process to ensure customer satisfaction, so I am disappointed to hear that your experience did not live up to that expectation. We aim to conduct all business ethically and with the highest level of integrity so I am concerned with your review. Please give me a call at your earliest convenience so that I may discuss your experience in greater detail. I appreciate your business and would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you to answer any questions or address any additional concerns. Duane Chancey, General Manager, 904-314-5889

by MsBrooks on 11/27/2015I wanted to upgrade my 2015 Altima SL and went in to see the 2016 Altima SL, but was shown the 2016 Maxima SL an fell in love. The sale rep was so nice and explained things in detail when I asked questions and she also offered information… that helped me make my decision to purchase that car. She knew I'd love it and she was right. I Love that car in Deep Blue Pear and it also has a few upgrades from the standard SL and are out of this world making it unique.very pleased
by docnanci on 07/21/2015They have me the out the door price. No games. No hassles. Larry Sutton went above and beyond for me and even checked back with me after the deal to make sure I was happy with the vehicle. I've never had a car buying experience this… pleasant or straight forward.Worst car buying experience ever and it's still going on
by etherengle on 03/05/2015I purchased a vehicle from Coggin Nissan in December of 2014. My vehicle had broken down and I needed a car. When I spoke with Andrew, my sales person; he told me that they would tow my car to the dealership for me.... I was impressed… that they would do this. During my shopping experience, my salesperson called me sweetheart throughout all of our conversations. When he was showing me the car that I ended up purchasing, I was told that it had Bluetooth and still had the remainder of the warrantee. Unfortunately, it was night, close to closing time and I needed a car. We sat down I believed what he told me and didnt check things out for myself. Once the deal was made, I was rushed off to finance where I learned that the remainder of the warrantee that Andrew had told me about had expired. I explained that I did not have the title of the car that I was trading in and explained that I could look for it at home (the car was paid off). I was told not to worry about it b/c they could do a title search and get a copy of it. The whole experience was very fast and not very clear. Before leaving, I asked my salesperson if there was a second key for the car and he told me that I would need to ask the Joe, the manager. Joe was busy at the time so I asked him the next day to which he told me that I need to ask my salesperson I explained that Andrew told me to ask him. Joe smiled and said, You know why and I replied, Yeah, because hes too scared to tell me the truth.. So, no second key but I was told where I could go and have one made at my expense. After driving away, I learned that there was no Bluetooth, hands free phone, etc. They didnt even fill up the windshield washer fluid. (only enough for one spray) I had a bad feeling about my experience as I felt that I had been taken advantage of. My bad feeling was confirmed a couple days later when Joey texted me and said that he was wrong and his manager said that they will not tow my trade-in vehicle to the dealership. He supplied the address of the dealership for me to have the car towed to. I called Joey and explained that I would not have the car towed and that I was no longer the owner of that vehicle. He could either leave it sit at the repair shop or tow it himself. Im not sure what transpired after that conversation but the car was towed to the dealership. I was hoping that I would never have to deal with Coggin Nissan again but unfortunately, when my phone rang in January it was Andrew yet again. He informed me that there was still a lien on my trade in vehicle and they couldnt pull the title. He told me that I would need to find the title and bring it in. I explained to him that I was at work and that at the moment there was nothing that I could do. At some point in the conversation, our call got dropped. Before I could call back, my phone rang again. This time, it was Anton Tusha. I again told Anton that I was at work, aggravated with the situation and that there was nothing that I could do at the moment. He became irate and told me, Ill tell you what youre going to do. Youre going to go home and get the title and bring it up here!. He then hung up the phone on me. I called Andrew later that day and found out the name of the man who hung up on me and firmly explained that I would not be bringing anything up there until I spoke with a manager. When I spoke with the manager, he arranged for someone to pick up the title at my work the next day. I left the title at the front desk with the secretary and it was picked up. At some point, I called Asbury Auto and placed a complaint. The customer service woman that I spoke with was very kind and helpful. She told me that the General Manager from Nissan would be calling me. When I did receive a call from Coggin Nissan, it was not the manager but a lady who introduced herself as his assistant. She wanted to know what it was I was looking for from them. I ended that call feeling just as angry and dissatisfied as before. It was clear that the people at Coggin Nissan on Atlantic did not care about their customers or the service that their employees provide. I was finally glad to be done with Coggin Nissan for sure ..UNTIL yesterday when I received a certified letter in the mail informing me that they have attempted multiple times to contact me and the car that I traded has a lien on it and they need the title. I again called Coggin Nissan and spoke with the sales manager as once again, the general manager was not available. I explained the situation, not very nicely. I expressed my frustration with the dealership and my experience. I have told him that I would happily return this car and take mine back (with some descriptive words about the cars) and we could call it a day. I honestly dont want to talk to this dealership again. Looking at their positive reviews, I thought that maybe I was just the unlucky one until I was talking to a co-worker who had a similar experience there. I was glad to at least know that I wasnt alone.I would like to first apologize for any inconvenience that you may have incurred during this long process. After speaking with my tag and title clerk, the situation should have been if not already resolved. I understand your frustration and also understand if you do not want to speak to us again. However, I would like for you to contact me on my line at 904-638-4570 so that I may continue to rectify this situation. Joe Koziol General Manager

Customer Satisfaction
by queenie10 on 08/06/2014We purchased a used car for my daughter back in June. I waited a couple of months before writing the review to make sure we were just as happy two months later as we were when we purchased the car. Brian V E and the General Manager truly… understand customer satisfaction. I am glad we purchased from Coggin Nissan and it was great dealing with Brian.Thank you for taking the time to let us know that you continue to be satisfied with your purchase. It is important to us that your daughter's driving experience be as stress-free as possible so please let us know if there is anything we can to to help answer concerns or questions that come up before your service visit. Thank you, Joe Koziol General Manager
Overall great experience but time consuming
by navyrick on 04/26/2012updated 09/09/2025I purchased a new 2012 Altima from Coggin Nissan. I walked in after looking at some used Altima's, and I had a price guarantee from my bank/insurance dealer. However the price guarantee was for St. Augustine Nissan. I am closer to Coggin,… so I decided to go see if they could match the deal. They did honor the deal, and earned my business. Henry Grey and Frank (don't recall his last name) from sales were pleasant, courteous and helpful. They helped me locate the car I wanted, explained all the features, and worked with my bad credit to get a deal done. Also Jason from financing was excellent as well. It was a very long process, about 4 and a half hours, but I really can't complain because in the past that seems to be the norm for me when purchasing a car. Also, of course we went back and forth a little on payments, but as long as you do your research in advance it isn't too much of a problem. Overall i am very satisfied, Frank, Henry and Jason were excellent, and I would recommend anyone to go see these guys. They will take care of you.Go elsewhere
by joev7 on 03/07/2014updated 09/09/2025Dealer increased the price at buy time by 13% for unspecified dealer added options. $0 dealer added options were listed on the sales agreement, but the base price of the car increased..... shady & dishonest. Despite a $599 charge for… "...inspection, adjustment..." I left with a side rear view mirror that can't be adjusted... Beware.I am glad that you took the time to let me know that you have concerns with your recent purchase. We certainly want to be sure that we provide service that fully meets your expectations so I would like to help you understand the breakdown of the dealer added options and work with you to resolve the problems youre having with mirror control and gear shift cover. Please contact me at 904-302-8231 when you have time to speak about this. I look forward to working with you to make this right. Best, Tony Rushiti General Sales Manager
