  • Smooth transaction.

5 out of 5 starsby Miguel Rodriguez on 02/22/2023

Purchased vehicle from Brian Jennette at Village Cadillac. Because of the distance the meet & greet was done “FaceTime” at which time he showed me the vehicle and he was able to see my trade-in. Deal was done over the phone with no pressure. He was a true professional, friendly, and had my paperwork ready when I arrived at the dealer. Smooth transaction.

  • Unbelievable, and I mean that in a good way!

    5 out of 5 starsby ZoomZoom123 on 07/19/2017

I don’t usually write reviews, but this time I’m making an exception. I just closed a deal for a used Volkswagen GTI with John DeLoach of Village Cadillac in Homosassa, FL. The reason for the exception is that the experience was unbelievable, and I mean that in a good way. The process of buying cars, especially used cars, tends to be unpleasant at best, and at times can get to be downright brutal. I can remember the first used vehicle that I purchased; I had no idea what I was doing. Two veteran salesmen saw me coming from a mile away, grabbed their cudgels, and got to work. I paid for the beating that I received that day for years. I’ve come a long way since those days, which makes me appreciate the qualities that John DeLoach of Village Cadillac in Homosassa, FL brings to the table all the more. Outgoing and ever-genial, John was born to sell cars. He loves his job! He is himself a car enthusiast, so he knows his facts. He knows why the manufacturer has made certain decisions and what the implications of those decisions are for the buyer. Raised in a military family, John is respectful, patient, and astonishingly honest, almost to a fault. John has a pleasant demeanor, is quick to laugh, is never mean or biting, and never misses a beat if your behavior should slip a bit during negotiation. John realizes that your time is valuable and he doesn’t waist it. All of these qualities together made the negotiation for the GTI a pleasant experience, instead of the usual dread and loathing. When the deal was closed, I walked away pleased, not only with the final terms, but because of what John brings to the table, I actually enjoyed the process! Highly recommended!

  • Caring and knowledgeable salesman

5 out of 5 starsby SharonLynne on 11/02/2015

I met Joseph Ceparano six days after I totaled my Cadillac SRX. My 5-year old SRX saved my life in that safety engineering, seat belts, air bags, and OnStar ALL did what they were supposed to do. My concerns fell into the area of a replacement Cadillac ... do I purchase or lease ... new or used ... My deceased husband always took care of this and I was fearful. Mr. Caparano showed his immediate concern for my injuries and trauma experience; he listened to me when I explained what safety features I would be looking for in a replacement vehicle. He gathered the information he needed from me in a very caring way and assured me finding a replacement vehicle was in his hands whenever I was ready to drive again. He didn't try to push me into reviewing his inventory on the spot ... he didn't strongly suggest I take one path or another ... he saw how exhausted I was and closed the meeting early so my neighbor could take me home. He impressed me with his manners and caring attitude. Our second meeting was more about technology ... what features my 2010 SRX had that saved my life versus what the 2013, 2014, 2015 or 2016 SRX had. Mr. Ceparano knows his subject matter and helped me decide which new features would benefit a person of my age. My 3rd and 4th and 5th visits each brought me closer to a decision. Debbie in Service is also like an extended family member. They made this customer believe that not all car dealers are bad folks.
  • STAY FAR AWAY FROM USED CARS AT VILLAGE CADILLAC!!! DOn

On 6-12-07, I purchased a used 1999 Cadillac Deville with only 44000 miles from this dealership. The car was in great physical condition and I could not be happier with the looks. In fact, I flew from Ohio to Florida to pick up the car. Within 20 hours of driving the car back to Ohio, the ignition cylinder failed and the tumblers broke rendering the car completely inoperable. I could not even get the key into the cylinder to get the car out of gear. (It just so happens this is also a fairly common problem with 1999 Devilles, yet the dealership claims they never heard of this problem before). The vehicle had to be towed to a local Cadillac dealer where it cost over $500 to repair the broken/disabled ignition cylinder. I soon contacted Zack, the General Manager of Village Cadillac, who would do nothing about reimbursement. In fact it took him over two weeks to finally get back to me after faxes, mail letters, and messages. He was rude and insulting on the phone yet he claims to be customer focused. He said it was not his problem. I then spoke with the owner, Kevin Sprantz, who also told me, "oh well, you bought a used car, what do you expect, its not perfect. If I had to have it fixed here, you would have paid another $500 more for the car. It was fine when you bought it" I tried to explain to Kevin that I did tell John, the salesman, that the key cylinder was sticking and had difficulty getting the key in and out when I test drove the car with him, but he did not care. There is no doubt in my mind that this cylinder was faulty and worsening over time and just so happen to finally break the day I bought the car. The owner/CEO of the dealership talked down to me and basically said too bad!! Well TOO BAD for Village Cadillac because in my opinion, they have no concept of customer service or standing behind the used vehicles they sell. Beware of this dealership for if you buy a used car and something happens, even the same day, they will likely pretend like they have no idea at first what you are talking about then say too bad, it's your car now. In all fairness, John the salesman, did actually address my original concern and tried his best to resolve the issue. He at least treated me with courtesy and respect. Too bad the upper management has no idea what caring, courtesy, and respect are, unless, of course if you spend $50,000 on a brand new vehicle, then I bet they bend over backwards!!!! Stay away from Village Cadillac/Toyota!!!
    • How many times have you bought something used and it broke? Within the hour or day or days - What does it matter - You bought a used item - Buyer Beware !!!!! I know that sucks because they knew it was messed up and they said sell it - What goes on at the managers desk at car dealership would floor people - The managers are a bunch of nasty brow beating jerks ,They think all buyers have the word "lie" stamped on the forehead and each and every chance they can get to put it to ya they will ,You think your dealing with a kind caring person - My God- if you only knew !!!! Why are you buying used cars from a dealership ? The dealer fees are 100% pocket money for them !!!! and that used car they paid Joe 6000.00 for cause he didn't know any better they sold you for 12000.00 and by the time they add all the shop fees and the pumped up repair and detail cost they have 10000.00 in it so then they can't deal with you ...Its a pile of trumped up charges ...Then ya still have a used car from a dealership . Get a darn bank loan and buy from Joe yourself - Quit letting these guys rip you into!!!!Stick to what the used car guides say to pay and not a penny more ,buying new ? Refuse to pay more than INVOICE and when you agree to numbers ...have a buyers order printed out not the 4 square - they are killing ya !!!!Have the all the numbers from the invoice and yes you want to see it - if they don't show it - walk out !!! the rebates and your trade & pay off - all in plain site before you go though the ton of paper work . Been there done that - On the sales side - so buyer beware you are game !

    • My husband and I have decided to shop for a new or used Cadillac CTS and since we live in Homosassa, Florida, Village Cadillac was one of the dealers on our list. However, after reading the thorough and objective description of your experience with Village Cadillac we have decided to head closer to Tampa to try to find a dealer with integrity. Consumer word of mouth does work and we certainly do appreciate your "word of mouth" regarding Village Cadillac.
