  • awesome dealer!!***

I went to the Lipton Toyota dealer at oakland park with a very difficult situation on a trade, and the first person who helped me out was one of the managers named Paras, she was incredibly helpful and understanding on what we were asking for. After she got us on a very good deal with the car that we wanted, a very nice and kind gentleman named Joe Richards was in charge on getting us on the test drive, as soon as we got to him explained absolutly every single detail about the SUV and gave some very useful advice on the features of it, after all the paperwork he made sure that everything was neat and perfect by the time that we left on our new car which i really appreciated because it was not only selling a car but making sure that everything was ok. And last but not least the financist Rich was really patient and honest and explained to us kindly all the details on the contract. I would go back again whenever i need a new car, in general all the attention was surreal, and they actually worked on getting me what i wanted and what i needed

  • Lipton scores!

Courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and reasonable is how I would summarize my experience at Lipton Toyota. Buying a vehicle from the used car side of this dealership proved to be a pleasurable experience. Special kudos to my salesman, Cary, for being so helpful and eager to please. The manager, Rob, was quick to respond to my text messages and did a great job of keeping the lines of communication open. They were also very accommodating when I requested an alarm be installed in my vehicle. The team really came together when it looked like it wasn't going to be possible and they made it happen. I am very happy with my purchase and Lipton Toyota made that possible. Thanks, guys!

  • Buyers Beware of Lipton Toyota

    1 out of 5 starsby Tking1983 on 10/28/2015

This dealership takes advantage of people at will. I put my 2014 Toyota Prius v a car that I loved in for service for 25 thousand miles and received a phone call about being a V.I.P and that the VIP department can save me money. I went in to talk with "Louis" form VIP when my vehicle was ready. I was told all about my lease and how they could save me money I asked them to give me numbers on two cars they gave me numbers on one of them. I felt very pressured and confused when I asked about numbers they made me feel stupid. I got borderline yelled at by a salesman when asking what a lease buy back was and why was my loan payback going to be so much they keep pushing me around. I was told it had the same features as my V just no wagon. I was horrible swindled all around and I have tried to make every effort to get my old car back including taking thousands of dollars in loss just to have my old car back they told me to come back in a year and do the VIP again. They gave me a $50,000 dollar loan for a 25,000 dollar car and the "Buy back"? that was just them putting my lease on my loan. Why would anyone do this to anyone? I have contacted lipton several times as well as corporate Toyota they seem to be ignoring me and telling me to read my horrible contract my car has 175 miles on it I said I would sell it to them as a used car just please let me pay the same loan on my old car. Figuring it would be in there advantage and I could at the very least have a car that I fit in and can drive. To make it worse I was contacted after by the salesman telling me he would get me the satellite radio I asked about if I gave him a good "survey" when Toyota asks me. This sounds like blackmail Im still waiting to hear from Lipton Toyota it seems they will do nothing and I will keep seeing what I can do. Until they help me be a real VIP I would suggest go to any other dealer

  • Another frustrating Toyota Experience

1 out of 5 starsby Kingmehoos on 12/27/2014

Very impersonal and negatively stereotypical car buying experience. I spoke with an Internet sales manager twice by phone and called him prior to the 35 minute trip to see a Sienna Limited Premium. Despite telling the manager precisely what we were coming to see and why, no attention was paid, and and we had the distinct impression that all the dealership cared about was getting us onto the showroom floor. We never felt like the sales team listened too us or cared about meeting our clearly articulated needs. They held the '07 Sienna Limited we planned to trade in hostage in a separate building. Despite demonstrating a High level of knowledge and expectation, they insulted me with a terrible first offer and followed the text book slimy car salesman approach to negotiating. We had to force them to give us the keys to our own car back, and I walked over to that building to demand my keys back. This is a similar experience we have endured with several Toyota dealerships over the past several years, and I'm glad to no longer have any Toyotas in my garage. This type of experience is why we kept our van 2 years longer than we planned.

After being contacted by J.R. M, a top ranking Sales Manager, J.R. was both professional and straight forward. I was extremely appreciative of his professionalism and his expertise. After discussing the issues, we were able to come to a satisfactory agreement and resolve any issues that I previously had. J.R. restored my faith in Lipton Toyota and car sales as a whole. I want to also thank Anthony S form finance, for making the entire transaction both easy and efficient. He was helpful, polite, and professional. There are so many times where "hiccups" happen at the finance level, but there was absolutely none with him. Our final salesperson, John T, was also helpful and in no way a factor in creating any issues I previously had. It was actually a pleasure walking into the dealership knowing that all issues had been resolved honestly and openly, and only dealing with the three individuals listed above in a timely and expedient fashion.

  • the most professional and stress free car buying experience

5 out of 5 starsby luvmypriusii on 10/22/2010

i found a great price for my 2010 Toyota Prius II on truecar.com you enter your zip code and car..it shows you what the dealer paid, what the average person paid, and what price the dealership is willing to sell it for. the sticker price on the car was around $24,500 the truecar price....$21,156!!! Lipton Toyota accepted that price i printed out....AND i was given floor mats, trunk mat, and cargo cover for no additional price. not only that, but the dealership is HUGE and so beautiful and comfortable inside. and everyone that works there always made a point to say hi, ask how i was doing, and is there anything they can do to make me more comfortable. i was amazed!!! the salesman i was working with, Jose Oilu, was so professional, and so nice..we had great conversations. i was in and out in 30 minutes!!! this was the best car buying experience i ever had. i HIGHLY recommend them for anyone looking to buy a Toyota or a Scion. but remember to get the truecar.com price first!

  • Angela and Benny

4.7 out of 5 starsby catalog on 09/30/2009

Angela got a bad rap back in May of this year. I contacted Angela over the internet. She returned my e-mail promptly and with a few more e-mails back and forth she satisfied all my questions. Upon arriving at the dealership she was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. She asked Benny to take us out on a test drive. Between the two of them they made our car buying a very pleasant experience. With all the add ons and extras we wanted on the car, she coordinated everybody and we received delivery of our 2010 Toyota Camry in just 32 hours. Benny was overly helpful, by even coming in on his day off to make sure everything was done properly and explained all the bells and whistles on our new car, with the utmost of patience, not saying goodbye to us until we were completely satisfied and understood everything about the workings of the car. I recommend Angela and Benny (Internet Sales) to one and all.
  • Internet Department = Two Thumbs Up!

    5 out of 5 starsby applefan225 on 09/27/2009

I inquired about a Prius via email through Jose Quintero. At first I wasn't 100% sold on the idea of it because of the myths about the hybrid battery. After dealing with Mr. Quintero, the myth has been busted and now I've been driving a brand new 2010 Prius. I am extremely happy that I went with this car because it is quiet, comfortable, and pretty powerful. Not only am I completely satisfied with the car but I am extremely satisfied with Mr. Quintero and Angela, the internet director at Lipton Toyota. Thanks to them, I have a car that is in high demand at a great price. I am happy to say that I am one of the few people that has been able to go through a smooth, easy, free of haggling situation with this team. Kudos to you guys!!
  • beware of Angela

1.3 out of 5 starsby cshonda on 05/12/2009

Angela is the internet sales mgr I dealt with at Lipton. She had the lowest price quote for what I was looking for. Problem was I wouldn't have bet a dime the vehicle she quoted me existed. Was asking for quotes less tax tag title. Angela the [violative content deleted] taught me not to do that anymore. She added $340 to the price of the car by inflating the title, tag, and tax on the vehicle. She added an extra $210 to the title, $45 to the tag, and $85 to the tax and then switched the terms of her quote to out the door negating the initial apearance of her having the lowest quote. For some reason she said I had to pay Dade tax, but wouldn't explain why. She also would not answer me when I questioned why the price of the title was inflated...kept going back to OTD price instead of her initial quote before tax/tag/title. She then pressured me to put down a deposit within a 4 hour window or else the vehicle would get options added on at the port and the price would go up. 24 hours later when I sent her a correspondence saying I wasn't in a rush, that I just wanted the specific car and features she said it was too late, that the options were added on and there were no more vehicles matching my criteria. Then 30 minutes later she said if I sent her a deposit, she would call the port and try to get them not to add the options. Oh, and in addition, she told me the model year I was buying would be phased out with the new models, and there would be no more 2009's available. The 2010's would be $2k more. BS statement after BS statement led me to the conclusion that she was full of it. She drove me to switch from buying a Toyota to a Honda. Guess I got the last laugh Angela.....
    • it was obvious that you went in not knowing anything about buying a car. i went to truecar.com, got a quote for $21,400. down from the MSRP (which means Manufactures Suggested Retail Price) which was $23,595 and this was for a brand new 2010 Toyota Prius II. according to the sticker, the final price would have been over $25,000 (not including tax tag and title) because it came with floor mats, trunk mat, bumper protector, and cargo cover. ALL of which i received for FREE!! i first talked to Angela, and then when i got there, she let Jose, the internet manager, assist me. before signing anything or agreeing to anything, Jose showed me EVERY price on his computer..including tax, title, dealership fees and shipping fees. those can be very expensive down here in south florida. AND you probably had to pay the DADE tax because the car you wanted was in very high demand and it had to come from Dade county, transport it to the dealership in Broward county. my total price, $24,500 INCLUDING tax, title, dealership fees, delivery charges, etc. it was the best car buying experience i ever had. i was a Honda owner all my life. i had a Fit Sport but was only averaging 25 miles per gallon. the Prius...55 MPG!!! so you did not get the last laugh...you were probably so rude to her and everyone there that they wanted to overprice you just to get you to leave

  • 2013 Sienna LE

I purchased from dealer inventory, taking advantage of incentives available at the time (March 2013). Purchasing from any dealer requires one to do research (Edmund's is great). There were no hard-sales tactics experienced. Some negotiation was required, but it was not excessive. The five-star rating is based on the following criteria (all of which are rated 5 stars)... 1) Was I treated fairly? 2) Did I receive a quality vehicle at an attractive price? 3) Did I get a vehicle that met my needs/search criteria? Additionally, the facility was attractive, clean, and well maintained. All employees (not just the sales staff) I came in contact with were pleasant and friendly. What's not to like here? Five Stars!

Kudos to Lipton Toyota for giving my husband and I the royal treatment. Our buying experience went fairly easy and the staff was very polite and helpful. We love our Sequoia so much that we put enough mileage on it already that we had to get our first oil change. When we pulled into the Service department we were greeted by our Service Advisor Andrew (which we were introduced to on the day we bought our Sequoia), we were so impressed that he remembered us. He did a thorough walk around of our car, and asked us if we needed a loaner or a ride any where or we could wait in their lounge area. He told us that they should be done in about an hour or two, so we waited in the lounge area. Which was pretty comfortable. This is one dealership I would recommend.
  • most unscrupulous Toyota dealer ever

I leased a camry from them. I learned an expensive lesson. Not only they gave me a regular camry instead of the Camry LE, the car I test drive and negotiated. The gross capitalization amount I paid was $24, 176.00, when I got home I found the sticker of the car in the trunk showing the MSRP price of $20,870. Beware of this dealer!!!
