  • Skyline Mitsubishi/Jack Thomas: 100% in Customer Service !!!

5 out of 5 starsby Adrienne on 06/30/2019

Jack Thomas made our car-buying experience today amazing. We were in a time crunch to find a used vehicle as our previous was stolen. Jack listened to our needs, found a vehicle that worked for us and made the 'numbers work' for our budget. I would refer family, friends and the community to Skyline as all are knowledgable, friendly, patient ans not pushy. A great dealership. Adrienne Melby

  • Jack Thomas is the man!

5 out of 5 starsby MaKenzie on 06/29/2019

Jack made me feel comfortable during the buying process, showing me which cars of the ones I was interested in had a better sale, and basically walking me through the buying process of my Outlander. I definitely recommend!

Jack was the sales rep that helped us with our purchase and he seemed like he had been doing this awhile. We are happy with our purchase of the eclipse cross and as agreed, the dealership was prompt on getting the hail dents fixed with two days of us calling them. He was thorough with getting us set up with the proper paperwork and was willing to work with us to get a fair deal.

  • Worse experience ever

In August my oil light came on briefly, so I checked the oil and noticed it was a couple quarts low. I added oil and immediately scheduled an appointment with Skyline. They did an evaluation and said that I had a leak in the oil pan and needed to replace the gasket, so I did for around 600 dollars. Fast forward to December, my car started running really rough, so again I scheduled an appointment with Skyline, they did an analysis and told me the engine was blown and said it would need to be rebuilt or replaced. When I asked for the cause they skirted around the answer and would only say the timing chain slipped at 7k RPM's. I went ahead with the engine rebuild. This took approximately 6 weeks, it wasn't until after a month of excuses that they offered me a loaner, so I endured the rental car fees on my own up to that point. When I finally got the car back they said that the turbo was showing ware and recommended that I replace it. I decided to just upgrade the turbo and wanted to do that at a performance shop with a Dyno so I could get it appropriately turned afterwards. When the performance shop was tuning the engine they called me to inform me that the engine was in really bad shape and they didn't want to push it on the Dyno because it was a "ticking time bomb". At this point I went back to Skyline to discuss options, their service manager Clyde told me how he has been rebuilding engine for longer than I've been alive and that there was nothing wrong with the engine. I had the performance shop document the issues and the results of the tests they ran on the engine and e-mailed this over to Clyde. I received no response. I went into the shop and asked to speak with Clyde and was told he was busy with other customers, I tried calling but still got no where. Then I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and that ended up being closed with no response from Skyline. So now I'm out around 10k all because I trusted Skyline.

  • Bad Dealership GM is [non-permissible content removed]

1 out of 5 starsby ParkerFamily on 04/08/2019

Went in today to buy a 4th car from this specific dealership in 2 years, and gotta say I'm very disappointed with the experience. Dealt with Sales man Greg, great dude but then when it came to numbers dealt with GM (who never introduced himself, stay classy man). Had a trade that he low balled me on (worth $11k-$12k easily), then after all the numbers he did, I was basically going to give him my car for free and a $42k car was gonna cost me $52k plus my trade, $62k out the door, nice try GM, sorry but I'm smarter then you think. Will never ever buy a car from SKYLINE MITSUBISHI ever again.

I was looking for an infinity and I found one that was in great condition with low miles and the process was pretty easy and smooth. Thanks Brandon for making the experience non stressful, quick and easy for us to be in and out. Car was detailed before we drove it home.
  • Rude and wrong diagnosis

1 out of 5 starsby Kevin on 09/15/2018

I went in originally for a sound I couldn't identify / where it was coming from. Also to get my AC fix (was making a sound as well when accelerating for 1 second). I told them that the AC wasn't a big concern, just the loud noise I wasn't sure it was coming from and I was nervous because I was leaving to another state very soon and didn't want any problems getting there. After they looked at it they told me that the belt tensioner should be replaced (covered by warranty) and replace serpentine belt. I asked it that was what was causing the loud noise when driving, and did they hear the noise I was talking about. They said Yes. I was hesitant because my serpentine belt didn't look bad and it did not at all sound like it was a belt noise. But I had them fix it because they said that was the cause. The parts took a week to be ordered, once they came in I went back to have them put on. It took way longer then they said it would to put on the parts, but only because no one told the service advisor that my car was done. It was just sitting back there for 1 extra hour with no one there. They all went home... Didn't even wash it after like they are supposed to. After I finally got my car back and driving home I noticed that the AC didn't make noise! Was happy. But the other main problem was very much still there. So I called and ask if they could please please see me again before I have to leave state, because the problem was still there. I ended up going back in and shortly after they took my car back, the, "Shop Foreman" brought me back to the bay to look at my car. He had my car on the lift and explained to me that the loud sound was coming from my wheel area. Said it could be my rotors (I just replaced by rotors). I was a confused because he very quickly came to this conclusion when the other week it took hours to tell me it was a belt issue. I asked it he could fix it then. I was told there was, "No time to do it today". Why did I even come down there then?? Just to have them tell me they were wrong what they told me it was before? He told me it was safe to dive to where I needed so I didn't need to worry. So I ended up leaving. Although my wife was very unhappy with this news. She called them back and spoke to the Shop Foreman to see what was the problem. He yelled and lied to her and said that was not why I came in. He lied and said I went in to get my belt replaced and tensioner. But this is what they said I needed, Not why i went in. We asked if they could please fix what we actually went in there for and not to tell us that they don't have time, after all the time we wasted getting things fixed i didn't need fixed. He was very rude and said he wouldn't do anything. We'll have to make another appointment. All in all it was a terrible experience. Worst part is, is this is where I originally bought my car too (Brand new). I will not recommend this place to anyone ever again.
  • Poor customer service

2.2 out of 5 starsby cherylwent on 04/14/2010

I had a terrible experience with this dealership and would never go to them again. Frank, the lead salesman, did not follow through with promises made and the general manager supported this lack of action. Communication was very poor throughout the financing process and it took nearly 2 weeks to get tires that were promised in 2 days. Customer service does not appear to be a priority at this dealership. I am waiting to see if the car I purchased holds up.
  • Sugar in the Gas Tank

    1 out of 5 starsby mcma0155 on 09/29/2009

I was so excited to get a Honda Fit. I'd done the research, test driven a few and looked around. Skyline had just gotten one in and assured me they would give me a fair price. They did alright, and then after a month of taking it into the shop, I found out the reason it had been acting up since I drove it off the lot was because there was sugar in the gas tank. I had been in communication with "Coco" frequently after the purchase; first for the tire pressure gauge that had been removed from the car before purchase (that I had to replace because it wasn't covered under their warranty or my Honda manufacturer's warranty), and because my mechanic found sugar in the gas tank. Each time I came to them with a problem with the car, they said "We gave you way too good of a deal on this car." They were willing, however, to take back the Honda Fit a trade me a car of lesser value. "They have to make some money on this" Coco said-two days after he returned from Dubai.
  • Told must testdrive to get price of vehicle, then told to do math myself

1.4 out of 5 starsby lrsmith on 09/08/2009

Several lazy salesmen were hanging out in the shade outside the showroom on Labor Day. After being ignored, I approached and was shooed away once they tersely indicated they did not have certain models. I approached again to inquire about the price of a vehicle. This was their response: 1. Shady requirement of testdriving before finding out price. I was told that they can't give an estimated price on a vehicle until it is test driven because it "wouldn't be fair to other customers" (supposedly due to a credit union program). 2. After I refused to test drive without getting even a "ballpark" price, the "manager" on the scene (spikey blond hair, early thirties, working afternoon 9/7/09) barked at me "what was the amount on the tag in the window?" (a potential monthly rate dependent on cash down and other factors). I told him I didn't remember. I thought he, or one of the other salesmen in the shade could perhaps, oh I don't know, do their job, and let me know the price: "take that number and multiply it by 72!" he barked. Do I work there or do they? "What is it?" He yelled to another, "$300? Take $300 and multiply it by 72, see it's easy..." he said very pointedly and sarcastically. I pointed out that the estimated monthly payment was listed on the tag as being based on a much lower figure than what he came up with, "that's not the price!" he barked again without further explanation. He thought this was hillarious, evidently, because he and one of the other salesmen could not stop laughing and it was quite obviously directed right at me. They continued even while I stared directly at them. My husband and I left immediately. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They lost a sale. If this manager could move cars off the lot like he does customers, he'd be much better at his job. Actually went to their other branch, [another dealership], and was treated with respect. I hate to think what further negotiations on pricing and financing would have been like.
  • pitiful and fairly obnoxious

Well, i went in to Skyline Mitsubishi looking on my lunch break for a specific car that i had seen online. I asked to test drive this specific car. Alex (a young salesman) briefly showed me the exterior of the car and then i was passed off to his manager "Frank" (an ironic name). Frank proceeded to try to show me every type of car on the lot, used and new, completely ignoring my requests that i had limited time and wanted to test drive a particular car. Finally after about 25 minutes of "no i am not interested in the Cadillac" and "no i am not interested in the Lexus", i came to the conclusion that i was not going to get to test drive the car that i had been close enough to touch. At that point i thanked Frank, but told him i was leaving. What a [violative content deleted]. He could have gotten a moderate sale, ala $15000, but threw it away trying to interest me in his other cars (20k to 33k). I know in the grand scheme of things that this is a minor complaint, but listening to what your customer asked for is mandatory for me. I will not be back.

Sales Managers were completely clueless about the after market warranties sold on the vehicle. They hustled me as quickly as possible through the signing and blew me off afterwards when I had questions. Their first response when I made a claim was to discourage me and deny me. The finance guy, who did (supposedly) understand my coverages, said he would check out if I was eligible for reimbursement for the $934 of repairs I had to make immediately on the vehicle they sold me. He blew me off because it was a Friday, but he never called back. I had to keep hounding him. They wouldn't provide a spare key or keyless remote. Wasted my valuable time, giving me a huge runaround. My impression was they just want to move cars and don't care about their customers. BUYER BEWARE! AVOID THESE [violative content deleted]! DO YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!
