Worst Service I have ever had, will NEVER do business with again!
by lemoncobalt on 06/13/2008DO NOT DO BUY A CAR FROM HERE.....terrible service. My initial salesperson was new and knew absolutely nothing about the car or much about the company. After factory rebates the deal was to good to pass up so I bought the car, BIG mistake.… When presented with the financing options they pushed all the extended warranties and extra upgrades on me. The first worksheet they handed me gave a grand total of almost $4000 over the price of the car. After getting that taken care of and finalizing all the paperwork I was finally ready to drive the car home. As soon as i put in the key, the check engine light goes off. They told me if was just because the salesman didn't put the gas cap on properly when they filled the tank. it should go away...well it didn't. I get a call from the financing department 2 days later telling me that they couldn't approve me at the APR of 6.9 that i signed in my contract. they wanted to bump me up to 9.9%...seemed strange to me since i was already pre-approved and drove the car off the lot. made me feel as though they were trying to sucker me into a higher rate, even the lady at my credit union agreed, so i went through my own bank and got approved at an even lower rate anyway than the dealership. so after that i bring the car back to the dealership to get power locks and windows installed. they promised it in one day and it took them three days. On top of that i drive it home and the next day find out the windshield wipers will not work. so again i drive it back. they installed the power locks wrong and it blew the fuse to the windshield wipers. Totally pissed off now, they fix it i head home. two days after the check engine light goes back on....Every single time I've had a problem with the car I've driven it back and dealt with very unhelpful people. I bought a brand new 2008 Chevy Cobalt, and I brought the car back 5 times within the first 14 days of ownership. For all the heartache and trouble they caused me the service manager was only able to offer me 2 free oil changes. I NEVER want to deal with this company again, they will not take care of you if you happen to get a lemon.Best car I've owned at a good price. Doing it again!
by sck_nogas on 01/24/2014updated 06/01/2025I leased my 2011 Chevy Volt from City Chevy and handled all communication through email. They were prompt and responded to almost all my email (there was a few missed emails though) and they quoted the lowest price of any dealer in Southern… California (at the time, later once the new car smell had worn off, the Volt was more deeply discounted, but I can't fault the dealer for that). Turns out, the Volt is the best car I've own and I am so happy with the dealer, that after 3 years, I am replacing my Volt with a Chevy Spark EV, and I'm buying from the same sales guy. Still doing most of the deal via the Web, still has the lowest price of any dealer in Southern California, and every time I brought the Volt in for service they handled very well. So, buying the 2nd car in a row from them.
