Bait and Switch
by Tom H on 06/04/2025Purchased a 2013 Audi Q5, which dealership did not smog prior to sale. Turns out, was unable to smog it due to repairs needed. GM of dealership offered to go get another Q5 from one of their other dealership, but then said they couldn't… finance it. Then inquired about an X5, told the same thing. But they could finance a 2015 Toyota Highlander, which was $5000 more than the original Q5 and $3,000 -$4,000 more than the other 2 vehicles I wanted. This is typical bait and switch. Original car was $9,200, Toyota was $14,855. Filed complaint with DMV, especially since I was then asked to sign a fraudulent form. They claimed they delivered the vehicle to me in Nevada, but my wife and I drove it home, their employee followed, so they did not deliver, nor give me copy of that form. No sales tax, no registration included in sale. Typical SCAM all the way around.New Ram

Sale of 2023 1500 Limited
by Redsand79 on 01/08/2024There are many opportunities for Autonation RAM on this sale. Starting with the good, called internet sales, friendly experience, setup an appointment. When arrived at the dealership, was met with a friendly smile. Where things started to… go off. I was promised the truck would be ready and there would be some sort of prep on their side. They didn't realize it was a demo the GM was using, where the keys were, what price range I was looking at, etc... From there we get into the standard song and dance of the sales process that isn't specific to AutoNation but is still a waste of both our time. To keep it short, put the decision makers at the table and get things done. To close out, the sales person was on to the next sale while papers were still closing. This would have been the time to make sure that the truck that I agreed to purchase was getting an oil change as it is required before leaving on a demo with 3K miles and all other pre-reqs completed while paperwork was done. I had to wait an additional 45 minutes after paperwork to leave that day. Moving on to day two, the truck had plates but that correlation wasn't made by the team requiring me to come back to the dealership and get plates to replace the temp tags. Two days later, I had to resign a contract as a used truck vs. new and now am waiting 3 weeks on a registration charge refund. Opportunities here for the team to understand the process a little better around these sales scenarios even though they are less frequent. What really got me though was before I even had the keys you wanted me to fill out a feedback form and score all 10's. As I started to fill it out with 7/8's the sales person was noticeably disappointed and asked why not 10's. I said that 10's are for exceeding my expectations, 7/8's are for meeting it. Here we are 12 days past and I'm still happy about the truck I bought and the terms we got to, but the failures in the execution during the process still give this rating a 3. Great vehicle, horrible communication

Sales men was friendly but that about where the goodies stop Communication through the whole process was horrible! I understand this wasn’t a typical… sale since I live across the country BUT! Then should only make communication more important! Different people would give me different information, they would say one thing then something totally different would be going on! I had to send them every source of ID known to man , then had a company contact me to do the same, then when they were supposed to send me the documents they sent them to some other company who then had to come to my home and verify everything again! Then they had to set up shipping which of course got fumbled the first time and hopefully I’ll be receiving my van today or tomorrow! HOPEFULLY!Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We had just left a competitor dealer after 6 hours of getting no where haggling. The typical car buying… experience. That did not happen at AutoNation! In and out fast and the car I bought was $5000 cheaper than the very frustrating dealer I had just left. We will return to AutoNation! Leased Jeep Compas Trail Hawk
by TJFreeman on 08/22/2023The sales aspect went well. Found car we liked signed paperwork and lease documents. There was a problem that could have been resolved quickly but wasn't. The black molding on the top and sides were scratched, the car had been parked… under a tree that put sap all over it. When they tried to clean it, the ending result was significant scratching they wrote it up and said to come back in the next day and it would look great. Well it did not look great. Anyway to make a long story shorter, the scheduled the car to service several weeks later. The service department could not make it look good, John the service department rep. ended up having it sent to a detailer to fix which it was and looks great. Basically we had made two payments before we had a vehicle. Awesome Service

The sales man was very welcoming and the car we actually acquired on was sold right before we arrived . But Logan… was very helpful in getting on the com with us and showing us what they had available in our price range. We were able to test drive and leave with the car all within a couple hours . I have purchased several car from lots and it’s always such a long process with hassle most of the time . Great Purchasing Experience !!!

I returned to Autonation Roseville as I had a great experience when purchasing my 06 Ram 2500… from them. When I arrived I was greeted by Andrew Knight who helped me with the build and ordering of my Ram 3500 dually. All though I did pay MSRP for the truck, all other dealers in the region were charging 10k+ mark up to get one. The truck arrived in the estimated length of time I was quoted it would take and was filled with diesel (50 gallon tank) and ready to go. This was the second Ram truck I have purchased from this dealership and both times have been a great experience. 2022 RAM 2500 Limited quality issues
by 2022 RAM 2500 Limited ordeal on 08/11/2022...completely disappointed with the dealership about my new truck. In less than 2 weeks after I brought the truck home, I had to take it back to the dealership for service because of oil leaking from underneath the truck. Service called… and told me a few days later that the leaks coming from the transmission, DEF line and shocks. At time of this review write-up, the truck has already been in the shop for 8 days and still sitting there waiting to get fixed. This is a brand new truck will less than 350 mi when I brought it back to the shop. I special ordered the truck at AutoNation in mid February, 2022. By late July, 2022, the dealership called and said my truck is ready for pick up. There was already 42 mi on the truck on the day I picked it. I was told by the salesman that they had to do some "precheck" before I could take possession. Even before I left the dealership, there were electronic issues with the front parking sensors and speed detection. salesman verified my claim and then told me that he would submit a service request and someone from Service will contact me to bring the truck back to have the sensors along with a few other non-electronic related issues fixed. However, by the time someone from Service called me about scheduling an appointment for the electronic/non-electronic related repairs, my truck has already been sitting in the shop for the oil leak issues. I didn't mind the prolong wait for the delivery of my truck. But I do mind that it was delivered without any thorough inspections or quality control by both the manufacturer and the dealership. As of today, my truck is still sitting in the shop waiting to get fixed while I'm paying for the cost of a car rental in addition to the auto loan and insurance payments that I already have on my new truck. This is completely unacceptable and I'm hoping the dealership will take the appropriate initiative to provide remedy for the all troubles that I'm going thru.Hi, we regret your experience with us here, but are glad you brought this to our attention. Extremely disappointing
by Stacy Harvey on 03/06/2022I ordered my jeep in November 8 2021. Was told I would have by December. Received February 15, 2022. Told the sales manager and the sales associates we needed the vehicle by the end of the year for tax purposes. Was told that would not be… a problem. I was told that both the sales manager and the sales associate would keep me updated on my order. Not once did they ever reach out to me. I was the one calling and texting them to find out how the process was going. Every excuse I got was blamed on Covid. Due to the fact that it took so long for my Jeep to come in I missed out on all the deals and incentives the dealership was offering. When I mentioned that to the finance manger and the sales person they just apologized. Not once did they offer anything for my trouble or the long wait. I will never buy a vehicle from the dealer ship and I will not refer anyone else to them as well.Hi Stacy, thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback.
