  • This is not an honest dealership

1 out of 5 starsby ThomasOMaui on 09/03/2016

I made a verbal deal with McKenna Audi on a 2015 R-8 with the sales manager Thomas approved by Brad Kim the general manager and then 15 minutes later they called me and backed out of our agreement and told me the car advertised on auto trader was not available but "at the auction". When I called Audi customer service about what happened they lied to them and then just yesterday had the audacity to send me an e-mail trying to sell me another car. I believe the owner Bob McKenna undermined the sales staff because they made too good of a deal for me and he clearly only cares about the money, not integrity or keeping your word. Please take your business to another Audi dealership or another dealership without the name McKenna.

  • Not Recommended!

We have bought many cars, and this was by far our most frustrating and negative buying experience. Everything was fine, until we signed the paperwork. At the end of the transaction, McKenna owed us money for our trade. After not receiving said money or hearing from them for weeks, we made several (unsuccessful) attempts to contact them. After getting nowhere by email or phone, we contacted Audi USA. Throughout the process McKenna was so difficult to work with and had such a bad attitude, our only conclusion was that they either didn't have our money or was trying to buy time for some reason. Audi USA basically said their hands were tied because each dealer is individually owned. After approximately six weeks or so, we got our money. We do not recommend this dealer and if this was the only Audi dealer in town, would not buy another Audi because of it.

They searched for the car I wanted at a price I could afford and we're so helpful!

  • Not Bad at All!!

4.3 out of 5 starsby absolutglow on 07/20/2007

I had an overall positive experience buying my 5-Series there. I didn't think they were overly pushy and I definitely got the best price around. I came pretty late at night, and nobody made me feel rushed although the dealership was closed when I started the negotiation. Since nobody was there to give my car a final wash and clean, they told me to bring it around on the weekend and they would detail it for me. Overall, I was quite pleased with the experience. The only person who upset me was the guy trying to sell me the extended service contract. He was tooo pushy. Other than him, I was happy and would return to this dealership for further pruchases.

  • Poor Internet Sales Staff

Dealing with the internet staff on an S4 was very frustrating. They wanted me to call and they did not want to give a price on the vehicle that I asked about through the on line system. Finally they sent me the MSRP on the vehicle and the color. Not the options as I requested or any other details. Run, run far away. Purchased from another dealer and they could have even sold me the car from this dealership that I wanted.

  • Is there a decent Audi dealership in So Cal?

I made the mistake of proceeding with a purchase at McKenna Audi. Heed this warning: Do Not Take Delivery Until Everything Is Done To The Car. I didn't. The salesman and the finance guy rarely ever answer the phone. They point the finger at each other. The sales guys says the finance guy is taking care of you. The finance guy says the sales guy was supposed to handle it. They don't return phone calls. Once you finally sneak through to them the promise to check and call back -- don't hold your breath because it won't happen. These people are [non-permissible content removed]!!!

  • McKenna Audi of Norwalk sold me a "lemon"

I purchased this vehicle used from McKenna Audi of Norwalk. The vehicle was only a year old with 25,302 miles on it. Clean CarFax. It came with the OEM warranty, and when I asked about it being certified, the sales representative claimed it was not needed, because the car was so new and still under OEM warranty. According to the rep, the only difference between certified and non-certified was about $3,000 (the cost of certification). Within 11 months of ownership, the first transmission had to be replaced (36,120mi). The car continued to have transmission-related issues, and at 55,600 mi (less than 20,000mi on "new" OEM-warranty trans), it failed again on the freeway while traveling at 70MPH. The 3rd transmission was installed, and after only 1,000 mi on this transmission, the vehicle is displaying transmission related issues. Unfortunately, too much time passed between transmission failures and the OEM warranty, so a valid lemon claim could not be filed.
