Did not buy, but had a good experience

by MayShalhoub on 05/18/2016I just wanted to express my deepest appreciation and gratitude for Jonathan Arvatz this is my 7th porsche and i have been to many delears , however nobody has left such a distinct impression on me as Jonathan. He is truly the… epitome of an ideal sales associate; not only is he genuinely courteous at the store and responsive to the customer needs but is also passionate and professional. he is affable and heart-warming and through his help my experience was made worth while and worth mentioning. I look forward to working with Jonathan Arvatz again.Waste of My Time
by Porsche_Guy on 07/07/2014Was looking at a blue 991 on line. They said they were certifying the car (CPO), would contact me when the car was ready. I drove 100 miles to L.A. to buy the car, trade my 08 997. Their car was not ready, with significant paint scuffs,… dents, undetailed in and out. MY car, undetailed, with twice the miles, looked BETTER than their "CPO" car! Said they were sorry, would have it ready in a week or two. I said I'm not coming back, don't waste my time.Pleaseant, efficient, no pressure.

She was delightful to work with and very fast and professional. In all a most pleasant car-buying… experience. And last, but not least, Downtown Porsche offered the best prices. The dealership was the furthest and most difficult to reach of the five dealers I checked with, but they were the best.A+++ Experience!!!
by jonwalters on 02/22/2012updated 08/05/2025I've never felt so welcomed to walk into a car dealership. This is something I normally dread, but my sales guy, Jonathan Arvatz, was terrific. He didn't BS me at any point. Just gave me a great deal. It was simple and easy. I walked in… and the Sales Manager greeted me at the door. Normally you just see these guys behind their desk, but he offered me a drink and brought it over after introducing me with Jonathan whom I had been in contact with. I had shopped using the Edmunds quote request email and it worked great. Downtown wasn't the cheapest, at first, of all of the dealerships. Once I told them what I had received elsewhere, they beat the deal for me and honored every word they said and put it in writing. For some reason it always seems impossible to get anything in writing from a car dealership. My order should be here in about 3 months and I couldn't be happier with my experience. Can't wait to drive my new 911!!!The Best
by 991mdr on 06/11/2012updated 08/05/2025I sent out an Edmunds request for pricing on a 2013 991, and Jonathan from Porsche of Downtown L.A. came back with a price almost immediately. He was by far the quickest to respond and he offered the lowest price of all the dealers. He is… straightforward yet accommodating, extremely knowledgable without being arrogant, and friendly without pretending to be your best buddy. Needless to say, I ordered my 991 from Jonathan and will have it soon. I'm not sure what you are looking for in a dealer experience, but mine could not have been any better, and I have bought a lot of cars in my life!

After speaking with Jonathan, he explained that he regrets valuing the availability of the 911 more than the condition. He was eager to allow you to see the vehicle as soon as possible which ended with him notifying you when it was done with CPO without checking to make sure that the front bumper was completely finished. It seems that a vehicle with such unique stitching and extensive options tends to be pretty sought after. Jonathan acted too quickly in trying to extend this offer to you and for that Porsche of Downtown LA sincerely apologizes.
