Excellent Customer Service
by Lynne on 01/15/2025Kia of Irvine is a family-owned business and it shows. When I arrived, I found out the Telluride I saw on their site was no longer available. No problem,..they searched and found another identical model with everything I wanted, a couple… of hours away. While their team was contacting the other dealer to see if they could make an exchange, my sale rep Mike, showed me model I wanted, with just a different exterior color. We went for a test drive, he reviewed all the great features and took his time to ensure I understood how things worked. There are so many conveniences that it's still going to take me time on my own just to learn everything, but Mike offered his assistance should I run into any roadblocks. The next day, the car I wanted was delivered and again, Mike and I went over the everything before I headed out. Their finance team was efficient and allowed the entire process to be quick and easy. I don't buy a new vehicle often, but their team made the buying process enjoyable. The sales manager came over to introduce himself during my initial visit, which was a nice touch and Mike followed up with me the next day to see if I had any questions.Lynne, we're delighted to hear that Mike and the Kia of Irvine team made your car-buying experience enjoyable! I don’t like being taken advantage of
by B on 01/15/2025I was honestly extremely disappointed in the situation I was put in. It pains me to write a bad review. I love nothing more than to cheer people on and value great service. I don’t want anyone else getting ripped off so I feel I must share… my experience. I got a quote last month for 4 things: Drive belt, spark plugs, transmission fluid and fuel service. The quote was for $741. I didn’t go back right away so they sent me a coupon in the mail saying if I came back I would get $75 off that price range of service. So I booked an appt online and it gave me an estimate of $517.00. I realize that is a rough estimate and don’t expect them to give me that exact price. So I go in to drop off my car and the guy comes up to me with his iPad and says the estimate is around $1,500.00. I was baffled. How could it more than double (or triple if we are going off their websites quote?!). So I asked him why so much and he tried to tell me this specific Kia’s parts cost more. Sounded like he wasn’t being truthful to me. So I mentioned the quote and estimate and then he said “well let me see the quote”. So I gave it to him and he said “I can get it down to this.” Oh, you can?! It was a very bad look, if you can get it down to that then why was it ever so high in the first place unless you’re ripping people off? Not to mention, don’t dealerships have set prices for services?! How couldn’t my cost double from the time I got the quote? Do they get incentives if they “upsell” services?! I truly want to understand. So then jump ahead to when it came time to check out. He gave me the paperwork with the charges on it and I said “great”, handed him my credit card and also told him I wanted to apply to coupon they sent me to get me to come back and he proceeds to tell me “oh sorry, I can’t add that, I already took off so much for you.” Oh really?! No you didn’t! You gave me the correct price I was quoted! I was super irritated at this point and told him, “If this Kia location quoted me the $741 and proceeded to send me a coupon to earn my business then they surely wouldn’t tell me I can’t use it?!” I don’t know if this guy is use to just taking advantage of people who won’t stand up for themselves or what but that isn’t me. I was polite but honest with him. I am not okay with being taken advantage of. Long story short he then after telling me he couldn’t apply the coupon, applied to coupon. So what does that mean?! He was lying when he said he couldn’t apply it the first time?! I mean come on! After all this I just couldn’t believe he was still trying to be difficult. There was more to the story but I won’t bore you, all unacceptable. After it was all said and done he was very polite and we were cordial. But I am just super uneasy about how this all went down and would love to hear from their management if this is normal. I must say the service was done in a timely manner which I appreciate. I have been to the specific dealership a few times and this is the first time I have had an issue but this is my first time here for a paid service, the other times we recalls.Bailey, I'm sorry to hear about your frustrating experience. They had a less prescriptive test drive. Dorian, my sales rep, was new but quickly found a person to help… with any questions he could not answer himself. He took all my questions seriously and I appreciated his enthusiasm and friendliness. The person who reviews the car features and functions (long hair, name starts with a A) was wonderful and entertaining. Too bad I was fairly tired after being there all afternoon. Masters of mediocrity

The fact that the Kia app doesn’t sync with the dealership and its service department where the vehicle was purchased is beyond lame. Co-workers don’t like each… other and are highly competitive, it seems. The coffee was perfectly bland too.Gerard, thank you for sharing your feedback. Service That Saves the Day—Twice!
by Jay on 12/19/2024Big thanks to the team here for making my life so much easier after two visits in one week! First, Amanda was amazing. I came in with a steering wheel issue, and she not only found the problem and fixed it but also got me a loaner car to… use in the meantime. She went above and beyond! Then, I came back with an issue fitting the keyhole cap. Danny was my first hero, trying everything to get it fixed. Seriously, they didn’t give up until a solution was in sight. Finally, Matthew saved the day—he greeted me with a friendly “Hi :) What can I do to help?” and showed me exactly how to fit the cap. Two days of frustration gone in minutes! Highly recommend this team—they’re awesome! Just don’t crowd them too much; I still need their help in the future!Jay, we're delighted to hear that Amanda, Danny, and Matthew provided such exceptional service during your visits at Kia of Irvine! Great service and pricing
by Mario on 12/18/2024Since I bought my used kia in 2022 I've been driving it an average of 150 miles a day running my business and service is critical on this vehicle. Wait time can be a bit longer than expected sometimes but they always deliver a great service… and compared to other dealers and auto shops their price is great as well considering it's a dealer. This is my second kia I bought from them definitely if they keep it up won't be my last. Dany was my service advisor, other times Brian they've been both great.Mario, it's fantastic to hear that Dany and Brian have been providing you with excellent service at Kia of Irvine! Great service at a fair price

Sales Prevention Department
by Katie on 07/21/2024I’m not trying to be dramatic but this was the worst sales experience of my life. My husband and I are looking to lease 2 new cars and we were deciding between 3 vehicles: sportage, sportage plug in and sorrento. “Top salesman” William… reprimanded us that we didn’t have an appointment and could only test drive 2 cars. Somehow it made more sense to him to put my husband with a separate salesman, Ronin, to drive the same car. Ronin would only allow my husband to test drive 1 car per “non appointment policy”. What?? William wouldn’t explain the differences on the trims, left me in the sweltering parking lot to print out the specs, then told me to read the difference. Sent us to the inventory lot and told us to take a picture of the vin of what we wanted to drive and he’d get the keys. You know, on the cars that we didn’t know the difference between. I complained to another sales rep at the entrance about my experience after I was once again abandoned by William, and they literally walked away from me, then pointed at me and made derogatory comments. How is this place in business? As if buying a kia is such a privilege that you can only drive 1 car without an appointment? Come on. I have heard terrible things about the service department at this dealer so I blame myself for thinking the sales department would be any different. You only get a staff this terrible if the leadership is bad. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.Katie, my name is Dennis Weaver and I am the General Manager here at KIA of Irvine. I want to be the first to say that we do not have a policy that limits the number of vehicles you can test drive. In fact, our policy is the opposite. When 2 separate sales representatives, independent of each other, both limit the number of vehicles you’re allowed to test drive, then it is in fact your policy.
