    Brought my car in Wed the second. Just an oil change and wanted them to check out a squeal. Had to arrange for a pickup to take me home, can't get into their van. No big deal. Everything was explained and I didn't need any other service. Squeal didn't repeat. Service rep. was very pleasant and didn't try to push any other service. I have a 2016 Corola with 23000 mile. They were interested in buying it. Ha ha.

  • 2024 Highlander Hybrid purchase

    We are very pleased with the purchase process. Our local dealer insisted on a substantial dealer mark-up, so we explored other dealers' websites and found AutoNation, though fifty miles away, seemed to have the best offer without a mark-up. We worked with Omid, the salesman, to order the Highlander Hybrid which would arrive about a month later. We negotiated an amount for our trade-in that was about $1000 higher than their first offer (our 2009 Highlander trade-in was in excellent shape). On the day we went to buy and pick up the car, the "finance guy" made a very strong pitch for an extended service warranty ($2890!) and we succumbed. Normally this would be a big negative for the dealership in this review, except for what happened next. When we got home we realized we weren't going to be driving the vehicle enough to justify such an expensive add-on. We contacted Omid, and he quickly forwarded an online cancellation form which we submitted, and three weeks later we received a check reimbursement for the full amount. Very impressive! Over all, we are quite happy about the whole experience.

    Fared was wonderful through the whole process. Even though he wasn’t our sales representative. He made sure we were taken care of. He helped us set up the Bluetooth before leaving the lot, made sure the car was clean and the tank full. I even requested a hug before we drove off.

    THEY WANT TO SELL, SELL, SELL. not help people. tried to sell me an alignment without even checking vehicle, evn tho i had that work done a few weeks ago at another shop. my car was left unlocked & w.open window. musci flash drive was missing, they took no responsibility.

    My car was totaled and needed something reliable and safe. A plane ride to AutoNation was the best thing. They offered me a great deal on my CX5 and had me out in under an hour. The customer service was beyond friendly and everyone welcoming. I’d suggest to anyone looking for a positive experience. Thank you team!

    WORST used car sales service. Do NOT buy a certified or used car from AutoNation Toyota Hayward. Just look at what they did to my vehicle while I left it to be fixed for paint chips after I purchased it!! I bought a 2020 Highlander XLE hybrid and it took a whole month to get a front bumper paint chip fixed and hood aligned, AND it was only done because I continuously called them to schedule an appointment. I live 1 hour away and I had to go 4 times, 4 TIMES! All because they didn’t coordinate things properly and because they had told me it was ready when it wasn’t. And when I FINALLY took it home, I’m dumb and didn’t check the whole vehicle, I only checked the area that was to be fixed. Well as soon as I got home I went to open the trunk, and I noticed they had HIT THE SUV!! They hit the trunk and back bumper during the time it was left for service for 4 days. AND the inside was stained, when I was told by Erick it was going to be detailed. This is by far the worst service I’ve ever gotten from a dealership. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else because if this is the service I get for a certified vehicle, imagine a used car that doesn’t go through a very detailed inspection. Oh and my sales man Omid was no help whatsoever. Erick the sales manager was worse. Respectful when spoken to, but lacks communication and apparently doesn’t check to make sure everything is done properly. As he is the one I dealt with the whole time. They also wanted to only give me 1 master key, when the inspection for a certified vehicle states that they need to provide 2 master keys. It took me threatening to call corporate for Erick, the sales manager, to finally call me back and get it done. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Hopefully nothing else is wrong with my vehicle.

    I was out and about a couple of nights ago when a whole bunch of warning lights went on simultaneously. So I freaked out and turned around to go home - didn't want to finish my errands and risk the car not starting again. I live near the dealership and since the gate was still open I asked if I could leave my car behind the gates when they closed. The sales guys said yes and had me fill out the envelope to leave my key in the box. Sammy got back to me pretty early the next day, had my car checked, and had the problem identified quickly. They got me a loaner, but were actually able to have my car fixed and returned less than 48 hours after I dropped it off. Yes, it was pricey since I needed some sort of special battery for my Prius, but it's supposed to last for another 10 years, so it's good.

    Big thank you to my advisor Sammy Tran and the awesome tech Develi who worked on my gr86. You were both respectful, honest, and efficient- something that is usually lacking when going to get work done on my car. I am grateful that I canceled the appointment I had somewhere else and decided to take a chance at Toyota Hayward to get my new rotors and brakes installed. Thank you for the oil change, brake fluids, new wipers, air filters and my new brakes! Thank you for not being pushy, or arrogant, or rude. I'm glad that I had such a positive experience and I will be back in the future (not for the roll cage though). I appreciate you guys!

    Most the sales agreement was done online prior to going up to Hayward. "Sam" was great, and upfront about everything. I didn't understand why it took 4 hours to complete the paperwork since I was paying cash.

    My financing paperwork was repeated like 3 Times. They are not as savvy as Acura in making the process really smooth for a customer. Am glad they accepted my trade-in but they should have made the processing smooth & easy to understand.

  • Poor job on an oil change.

    I brought my car for an oil change at the end of October, only to find out weeks later that there was an oil leak followed by a clattering sound coming from my engine. I decided to take it back in to Autonation Toyota and they told me it was because I had a junk yard motor.....later to find out from a friend checking my car that they had used an after the market oil filter not suited for my car, and that was causing the oil leak. They need to be better at diagnostics as well as building trust with their customers, especially after they mess up big.
