A week wasted — car not fixed, no updates, no receipt
by Elizabeth on 07/16/2025The worst service I have ever received. I took my car in because it had the “Propulsion Power is Reduced” warning. The vehicle stayed in the shop for a whole week without any updates from them. I had to be the one to call and ask about the… status. They told me the car was repaired, but when I went to pick it up, it had the exact same issue. They asked me to wait 10 more minutes so the mechanic could check it again. Later, a staff member told me that the problem was actually related to the battery, and that the car would need to stay for several more weeks to be repaired. On top of that, they didn’t even give me a receipt or any paperwork confirming I had left the car again. Totally unprofessional, disorganized, and lacking in communication. From the moment I walked in, the service manager Patrick, the parts manager Mike, and the rest of the team made me feel like family and got my car diagnosed and… repaired right away. I was kept informed throughout the whole process and I knew my car was in good hands. I got my car back within a few days and it looked better than when I dropped it off. Thank you to the service department at Allen Gwynn Chevy, I highly recommend this team!!!Worst Service department

He reminded me as I left to.please remember to answer this survey with rave reviews. Once I got home and realized my… duel charger was missing so I could charge my electric vehicle I kept getting ignored. I called Aleko he said he would return my call Tuesday once he injuried about the charger. I then called Thursday and Allen (I believe was his name) took down my info said someone would get back to me and nothing. I've emailed and no response. I should have known better and checked the car myself before signing anything. For the sale they do and say anything but after you leave they don't even remember your name.Art

Got my own financing, evn after finance said they would match the rate…… Salesman was great, stuck with the process for a few weeks to get the deal through!Use to be a better dealership

This dealership ALlen Gwynn has changed thru the years. I bought my truck here Sept 2017 and only go… here for service. I wish there was a smaller Chevy dealer to go to that would help me with truck questions but they just dont have any in Southern Cal.Poor Business Practices
by Jb12345 on 03/25/2018This dealership agreed to sell us a car. They provided a photo of the price quote as well as a photo of the car with a sold sign on in (with my wife's name on the sign). They even arranged a time that same day for us to come buy the car.… They called on the way to the dealership to say that they sold the car to someone else. In the days preceding this, we attempted to get the car from them through a trade with 2 other dealers. According to the other 2 dealerships, Allen Gwynn Chevrolet told these dealerships that the car was already sold and was not available for trade even though it was actually still for sale. The fact that they misled the other 2 dealerships should have been a red flag. The floor manager, Danny, was also rude and unaccommodating when he called back to tell us our options were to buy another car from them or do no deal . He also refused to allow us to speak to someone above him about the situation.Great service!

by fairlycrit on 09/28/2016This was my 1st time at Allen Gwynn. I pulled up to the service drive and waited by my truck for about 3-4 mins. I asked a service adviser (Michael) if I should wait or go in to get my service ticket started. As he was getting into another… car and closing the door, he advised I stay by my car. Customer service was clearly not on his mind. I proceeded to wait for another 10 mins before another service adviser (Darwin) invited me in. He said standing by my car was not necessary and coming in would have been better. After that, my service experience was on par with other dealerships, however I was not pleased with my initial waiting time to be greeted and helped with my service needs.Best Way to Buy A Volt

by Jordan_T on 01/26/2016An excellent American car. I was debating whether to buy the Ford Focus or the Chevrolet Cruze and after test driving both O decided to go with the Chevrolet Cruze. The turbo kicks in nicely and calmly and isn't overpowering nor calls… attention- which is important to me. I purchased the LT which has a built-in backup camera which is very nice. Its definitely a smooth ride and a good car. The interior is nice, too. The back trunk has a good amount of storage and opens up with a click on your keys and inside your car, too. Before choosing another vehicle I highly recommend you test drive this vehicle and see what I am talking about. I had a pleasant experience from the minute I stepped inside the Glendale dealership. Josh, Ara, and Danny were very helpful. I had spoken to Ara prior to arriving and was greeted by him. Danny was there to work with me and get me into a comfortable position to make affordable payments! They really worked with me and I appreciated that immensely. Josh has a kind heart and goes above and beyond to give true! customer service and that's very important- and he does it with a smile. Thank you Chevrolet Family and Allen Gwynn Chevrolet in Glendale. I will definitely be recommending not only this friendly Glendale dealership, but these three gentleman and their staff.Arlene Rosas is fantastic!

She was extremely kind and courteous the entire time, especially when I was admittedly pressing her hard for explanations as to the reasons behind the seemingly unnecessary work… recommended and the pricing which I felt was extremely high. She did an amazing job at still making me feel very important and a valued customer and she did everything possible to lower the price for me. My only recommendation for the dealership overall is that it should give its customers the best possible price from the very beginning and not wait for the customer to negotiate and bargain for a lower rate. The customer needs to trust the dealership in order to do business with it, especially on an on-going basis. My biggest issue was with the labor pricing and the amount of hours allocated to each line item, which seemed inflated, especially for my brake line item. But again, Arlene did a wonderful job at handling the entire situation and I HIGHLY commend her professionalism, courtesy, and utmost kindness throughout the entire process. She needs to be recognized for being such an outstanding part of your team. Thank you, Arlene, for being so great. Although my concerns about the inflated hours and labor cost is still there, knowing that I have someone like Arlene who will work with me and make sure I'm happy makes me want to be a repeat customer. I hope you will continue to offer me and my family wonderful customer service and the best pricing possible so that we may continue to come to the dealership without any hesitation. He even drove me in his own car to the Enterprise car rental as it was getting close to their closing time. All repairs were… done efficiently and he communicated progress regularly.

I want to clarify that Alberto Guzmán, the employee who assisted me, was very kind and genuinely tried to help. I truly appreciate his professionalism and positive attitude. What I meant to express in my review is that my overall experience with this dealership — starting from the moment I purchased the car — has been frustrating and disappointing. Even when an employee is helpful and does their best, the overall system and management of this dealership are poorly run, which results in a very negative customer experience.
