I had a deal on the car.Mentioned I will be there after work.Call on the way. When I came to the dealership they pretended car is still available, even let me take car for a test drive, but in reality they already new that they are already sold the car. They could spare me a 120 ml trip. [non-permissible content removed].No wonder this dealership has the worst reviews.

  • "Six to Eight Weeks"

1 out of 5 starsby Sharon on 05/15/2023

I worked with Moe Belhachi, the Floor Manager, for months. He told me that they were the biggest Toyota Dealers in the Bay area, and I should buy a Toyota Camry Hybrid from him. I believed him. I wanted a blue car, so he acted like they were available if I was patient. (I do not even know if they made 2023 Camry Hybrids in blue.) I waited 10 MONTHS because he kept telling me that the car would come in "6 to 8 weeks". In the meantime, he tried to sell me other used cars. I bought the car that I wanted from another dealer when I realized that this man did not have my best interests at heart. At least, my $500 deposit was returned. That is the most positive thing that I can say.

  • Horrible sales service

2 out of 5 starsby nate on 09/13/2020

Too bad this only allows two stars or more. I wouldve rated them a zero star.I made an appointment and drove alomst 2 hours to the dealership to find out the car i was suppose to look at was sold.I called at 3 pm and made an appointment at 6 pm. no text or phone to to tell me the car was sold. What a waste of my time and then tried to sell me something else. Never coming here again. Do not deal with sohail and or his supervisor. No apology was given

  • Purchase option for leased vehicle

1 out of 5 starsby HardwareDweeb on 11/14/2016

Beware if you are planning on purchasing your leased vehicle at this dealership. I went to Dublin Toyota this evening to purchase a Prius Plug-in I had leased in 2013 and they had quite a surprise for me. I was asked first if I wanted to trade my Prius Plug-in for a new lease or a new buy and I declined that and told them I simply wanted to buy the car at the buyout price specified in the lease contract. A manager, Mr. Belhachmi, told me I had to stop at the service department first. I did and after talking to Harold, it turned out Dublin Toyota wanted to do a an inspection, SMOG test, Oil service, etc. at a fixed cost of $450. I told Harold I was simply holding on to the car that I had leased and that none of this made sense. I asked if the fee for the inspection/service was in my contract. He shrugged me of and said that he doesn't know about the paperwork and all he knows is that I must drop the car off for a mandatory inspection/service at $450 before I am allowed to buy it from Toyota. I went back to Mr. Belhachmi and he basically said if I were to buy the vehicle it would be like buying a used vehicle from Dublin Toyota and I had to cough up the 450 bucks they were asking for. I did bring it to his attention that none if this was in my contract and that there were no fees to pay except for the buyout amount. All he said is that maybe I should try sending a check directly to Toyota. Absolutely ridiculous and not a pleasant experience. I will call Toyota Financial Services first thing in the morning and get to the bottom of this. This is unacceptable and it feels as if I was being punished for wanting to buy the leased vehicle versus trading it in or buying a new car at this dealership. Not a good experience and I am not going back to them for anything. I will update my review after I get off the phone with Toyota Financial Services tomorrow.

I had a wonderful experience when I bought my Prius here. They had a great selection of colors and options I was looking for. There was friendly service knowledgeable staff and I was very happy with my overall experience. Maggie L. was very helpful and very sweet and answered all my questions I had. I love my Prius and I am very happy to recommend Dublin today to anyone that's looking for a vehicle !

  • This place is a JOKE

1 out of 5 starsby ImaDesi on 08/28/2016

Just had been to Dublin Toyota. Customer Service is a big joke here. Here is my story, I was looking for 2016 Highlander XLE and prenegotiated the out the door price on phone/text and after confirming the price, I agreed to stop by the showroom. As usual when I went to the show room, I have to wait for a hour for the sales manager to come up with pricing. I'm sure they are just wasting the customer time by doing nothing on the computer and just acting as if they are working(True car sales people :)). To my surprise the internet sales/fleet manager DANIEL flatly denied the price which they agreed to give upon and suggesting me not to waste the time. When I showed him the price which they agreed upon on the phone text messages, he could not still believe it. So summary is they tell you one price and sell you different price.

My husband and I bought a new Toyota Camry with Edmunds Price Promise from this dealer. The transaction was quick and the sales guy Alex Brown was very pleasant. He is probably the nicest car sales person we have ever met. The finance manager lady was great and patient with us during the payment process. We will definitely go back to Dublin Toyota for our next car purchase.
  • I feel Cheated!!!

    1 out of 5 starsby Mahnaz_z on 09/01/2015

I had the worst experience buying my current car from Dublin Toyota and I feel cheated. If you need consultation to buy your new car DON'T GO to this dealership. They want to sell you a car as highest price they can no matter what you are looking for. They don't care about your needs and desire. They sold me a 14-15K car for 23K+!!! and when I came back and claimed about abusing my trust: NO Responsibility.... There is also no customer relationship department to listen to customer's voice, so if you want to claim about something you just have to deal with the sales person and maybe sales manager that they wouldn't care about customers after they were successful selling a car. The Sales manager have told me: I know you are unhappy and I can not do anything for you, next time do more research when you want to buy a car... I'm really unhappy and wouldn't go back to that place again. NO RESPONSIBILITY THERE

  • Best Toyota dealer

I bought a RAV4 from them because of their great customer service and a great price! Maggie L. showed me how to use my new car's navigation and entune system. She was very patient with me as I am an older man who did not grow up with all this technology. I have recommended this Toyota dealer to my family and co-workers.
  • Ask for Naj

    5 out of 5 starsby katef1 on 06/24/2014

My husband and I bought a car this past weekend with the help of Naj. Naj made sure we saw nearly every car on the lot before making a deal with us that made my husband actually smile. Naj was kind, patient, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. If you want to alleviate all potential stress in buying a car, ask for him when you arrive at the dealership.

  • Happy Toyota Owner!

5 out of 5 starsby mloniadams on 06/12/2014

I have been a long time customer of 16years and have purchased over 6 vehicles from here. My last one was a 2012 Toyota Prius v. I have sent many friends and family to purchase their vehicles whether new Toyotas or used ones. Both the sales and service departments are very attentive, friendly and most of treat you with respect. It is very nice and covenient to have a local car dealer that takes great care you and your vehicles, one less thing to worry about. Many thanks to the team especially to their wonderful Customer relations manager Maggie who helped me out when I had some issues with my Prius v. I can't wait until my lease is up next year to lease the new 2014 Highlander platinum edition.
  • Horrible experience with this dealer

1.8 out of 5 starsby suspendmix on 01/29/2009

Came in wanting to test drive a Highlander since we were looking at 3 SUVs (MDX, Pilot and Highlander) and it was the only one that I hadn't test driven. The initial salesman who went on the drive with us was nice and informative, indicated we didn't need the limited to have the backup camera so we were then started looking at the sport model. We were more set on the MDX but if the price on the Highlander was good enough and offerred fair trade in value for my car, we would do it so we went in with the guy to run numbers. He found a 4wd sport for us and asked what we wanted to pay and I said we already priced a 4wd limited at 31.5k through carsdirect.com and got an offer for 35.5k for mdx so whatever they wanted to sell the sport to us at had better be much lower than that. Well, he came in with an offer of of $600+ per month for 60 months or so, that pretty much made me realize what I was dealing with. I mean who the hell just comes out with financing numbers right off the bat without discussing the price of car? We never even told the guy we wanted to finance. When he finally gave me the numbers, he wanted 38k for a lower model than the quote I already had for a higher model and $4k less for my trade in than what I eventually sold it for. I laughed him off and again after some back and forth, he asked what i wanted to pay and what i wanted for my car and before I could even answer, he started just writing numbers down, 35k, 33k, 29k for the sport? 10k, 12k for my car? I said if he could come back with 29k for the sport and 12k for my car, we could talk...well, after about 5 minutes, he comes back and says the best he could do was 35k for the car and 8k for mine, i laughed and asked for my keys and reg back and that i would go to acura to look at the MDX again. That got his attention, he went back and got I guess another salesman who asked what they could do to make a sale and i said, nothing, we got tired of the games and this point, we wanted to make sure we didn't want the mdx so we were going to pleasanton acura to check it out (btw, we bought the MDX!). He didn't seem to like this and again I asked for my keys. He left, I went to the bathroom and when I got back, the GM was sitting there with my fiance trying to convince her to buy the car, she made it clear we were not going to buy the car from him tonite and that we wanted the keys and registration. He finally threw the keys and reg back to us and gave us this look as though we wasted his time. I've purchased 3 new cars so far and been to about 10-12 dealerships and this was by far the worse experience I've had with high pressure tactics, they weren't inclined to listen to what we wanted or our needs but rather to make that buck. simply put, when the salespeople couldn't get thier way, they just became plain rude. Sadly, there was an elderly couple next to us that we chatted up in between the sales visits and they stated a similar experience and they bought thier initial car from them! Fortunately, for them, they had their keys and walked off...
  • Horrible Experience - and 4 mo. later still having problems

3.3 out of 5 starsby greesemonkey on 01/29/2008

I purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle in October and I have had problems with it ever since. The Salesmen - were very insistant on my decision be made that night. I had done research on it prior to arriving so that was ok. I did however, have a hard time getting them to present a carfax on the vehicle. The salesman was constantly telling me "this is a great deal and a wonderful vehicle, the vehicle had been well maintained by it's previous owner, and that their service techs had given it a bumper to bumper inspection. But after I had paid for this 'new to me' vehicle and was pulling out of the lot I was informed the rear tail light was out. So on my time I had to come back to have them fix it. I had also been told the tape deck worked great. In the first week it had eaten 3 different tapes. Within the firsts three weeks of owning this vehicle I had repeatedly taken it back for mechanical problems. They were intermittent and yet very dangerous. The Service Dept. sent me to the Sales Dept and back and forth a couple times to determine who would authorize the maintenance work and rental.
  • Unprofessional internet sales people

1 out of 5 starsby cecildredd on 01/24/2008

Contacted dealership through costco. Received call back message within two hours from internet sales department. I returned their call and left a message detailing what car I wanted and that I was ready to buy today. After three days I heard nothing. I called and spoke to an internet sales manager and made an apointment for about 1 1/2hours later. I showed up on time. The sales manager was paged by a rather apathetic receptionist. He did not show. After 10 mins I asked if he was in. She paged him again- nothing. I looked through some cars on the showroom floor. After 30 mins I asked her to try again. He could not be located. I drove off to another nearby dealership and bought a car the same day. As a side note. The sales staff were very interested in talking to me until they found out that I was waiting for someone and then they just removed their fake smiles and walked off without saying a word or offering to help locate the person I was waiting for.

  • Bait and Switch fraud trick by Gorge Sales Manager

    1 out of 5 starsby swatisri1 on 03/23/2013
    updated 08/05/2025

We had the worst experience this time.. Although we don't have any issues with the new car, the whole process of buying it from Dublin Toyota has been an ordeal. I dont think I'll ever come back... our tale of woes is a long one. Our preowned Toyota Corolla 2010 which was purchased in Dublin toyota around 2 yrs ago suffered a few damages from a minor collision last week and we brought it down to Dublin Toyota, because unfortunately we didnt have collision coverage and we trusted them to help us. They sent it to B and S Auto body service shop, with whom they deal internally and B&S called us to say that they estimated the damages would cost $6000 to fix. We checked on KBB site and if we fixed our car, the fair price for it was $8500. We came to Dublin Toyota to talk to Jojo (Joseph S.) about trading it in. He checked all the information and offered us $3000 if we went with a new Toyota Corolla 2013, which we accepted as it sounded like a good deal to us. We were taken to the finance department after a 30-45 minute wait. The manager was talking to B&S, as they were saying that $6000 was just an estimate and the cost of fixing our car was higher than that, we were told. So we waited anxiously, only to be told that all was well and the deal would remain the same. We were happy, we signed the release of the old car, bought the new one and drove away. All was well, we thought. But the next day, B&S Auto shop guy Mr S. called us and informed that the actual cost was $9000. We told him we had released the car to Dublin Toyota, so he should call there. He says the manager might give us a call to resolve this issue. We were surprised, didn't they tell us just the previous day that the issue was all resolved, and signed us up with the new car? Sure enough, the manager from Dublin toyota called the next day. He told us that the contract was void as the car was now totaled! We had only one option now, to buy the car at full price and take back our damaged car and deal with it ourselves! I felt like there was something not right here. Didnt he know that the car would be totaled on the day this deal was offered to us? He did talk to B&S before we signed! Why would he wait untill we signed the deal and then tell us that? When we went to talk to him the next day, he said that B&S had told them too that the cost was $6000 when he called them and thats why he'd offered us the deal. he refused to give us time to think, as he said we were in the wrong side for trading in a totaled car and legally, it would be a huge problem as he was considering the contract was void. We could not cancel the whole deal as we had driven the new car for 3 days and it was now a used car and our only option was to purcahse it full price and sign a new contract. We felt so cornered, especially since he told us to sign the deal immidiately, he couldn't even wait till the morning or leave our new car at the dealership if we didnt sign the new contract and wait for the next legal action! Legal action? Our only fault was that we trusted them and purchased a car from them!! We did not hide any information, we had told them exactly what B&S had informed us, and moreover B&S was someone they dealt internally, wouldn't they know if the car would cost more and the deal wouldn't work? It was all a ploy to sell us the car, it seemed like. After we unhappily signed the new contract I researched the net and found that this was a very old trick called "Bait and Switch", where the car dealer knows that the deal would be void and he would switch it after the buyer would take the bait and sign... The manager was right, we were at fault. We didnt research enough before buying and trusted them completely. The irony of it all is, we'd have gone with the new car on that day even if we were told the truth that our car would be totaled. We trusted Jojo, whom we'd dealt with before, and knew that he'd understand and offer us something we'd like. The manager "George" or whatever his name is, didnt have to do the "Bait and Switch" with us, especially with that drama of asking us take all our stuff out of the new car and hand over the keys because we didnt sign the new contract then and there at 9 pm in the night. On top of it, he told me that B&S would charge us nothing as they hadn't performed any repairs.. They charged us $400 for keeping the car with them for 7 days! The feeling of being cheated on and lied to.. I guess one has to experiance it to know it. To conclude, my wife still likes Joseph S. and wanted to talk to him about this whole thing, but forgive me for lacking the time or patience. He might be a good man, but the same cant be said about people like "George". My friend just purchased the same model car, same edition from Sunnywale Toyota for $18500 (On road price, including tax) I guess I'll take my business to them next time.
