Disappointed with Inaccurate Description and Lack of Transparency
by Disappointed customer on 05/28/2024We contacted [Dealership name] a few days ago about a used vehicle they had in stock. Since we were 200 miles away, we called to confirm the car's condition. They assured us everything was fine and emphasized that the price was… non-negotiable. While the price seemed high compared to similar vehicles, we were willing to accept it if the car was truly in good condition. The day before our visit, we requested a quick video walkthrough and confirmation on a few points. We wanted to see if there were any major scratches, ensure both keys were available, and have someone from sales verify the car's condition. This was important as we had a long drive (almost 3 hours each way) with two young children. We specifically requested everything to be ready to avoid wasting time upon arrival. They confirmed everything was ready before our visit. However, upon arrival and inspection, we discovered a large, deep scratch on the front passenger seat (approximately 2.5 feet long). Additionally, the silver armrest cover was peeling. To our further disappointment, they only had one key, contradicting their previous confirmation. We were understandably frustrated. We had specifically agreed to their non-negotiable price based on their assurances about the car's condition. The manager's response, "It's a used car, man," was dismissive and lacked professionalism. He offered no apology for the inaccurate information or the missing key, nor did he offer any courtesy, such as a bottle of water, considering our long journey. Due to these issues, we decided not to purchase the car. This experience was a complete waste of our time and energy. We will never consider returning to this dealership, even for the most attractive prices. Their lack of transparency, disrespect towards customers, and failure to fulfill basic commitments are unacceptable. We strongly advise others to avoid this dealership.

by Average_Cust on 08/11/2016I have had nothing but trouble with this particular dealership, specifically regarding a recall replacement. -I went in early March 2016 for 1 recall. They completed it and told me I was to have my leaf springs replaced for that recall… once the parts were ready. -I received a letter from Toyota after that stating the parts were ready. I called this dealership and they said they needed to order my specific ones and they would call back. 3 weeks go by so I check in with corporate. -The corporate rep called the dealership and was told the tech had looked at mine, I could drive on them a bit longer, so I was farther down the list. -The dealership called me and scheduled an appointment. I dropped off my truck first thing in the morning and received a call later that afternoon saying they could not complete the recall because my truck is modified (apparently the previous owner put in air springs). -I spoke with Brian Cooper and asked him why had the tech had not mentioned that when he checked them in the first place? Brians response was and I quote "Toyota just told us a month ago we can't complete work on vehicles that have been modified". -I called corporate again who said that's not true, it has been standard procedure that each dealer is aware of and has been for years. I explained to the rep that the dealership had lied to me, causing a delay in repairing the safety issue as I would have completed it on my own as soon as I had known. -The rep filed my complaint and forwarded it the dealership for them to resolve. Issues in my complaint are 1) The tech either did not check my leaf springs as he said or he did and did not do his job properly. 2) Their customer service manager is willing to flat out lie to cover his tech's incompetence. This left my family and I (2 children) driving on a part that was unsafe longer then we should have and has now possibly damaged my air springs. -Almost a month has gone by and my complaint has been escalated 4 times now with no response. They're behavior has been unethical and dangerous to say the least. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and the 3 other agencies I've been told can help me find recourse, along with getting this information out there for others who have been victims of their technicians not doing their jobs properly and their "customer service" covering it up. We'll be purchasing a brand new truck for my husband this year and will not be coming to this dealership, I advise everyone else of the same.Sales
by cbisrn on 04/01/2013updated 08/02/2025I had excellent service in my car buying experience. They treated me with respect, answered my questions, and where not pushy in trying to sell me a car.
About our dealership
I was contacted by Jon Hagan the General Manager about the situation and he has done his utmost to correct it. My experience has been greatly improved after working with him, thank you.
