Disappearing act after purchase
by Shenny on 06/05/2025Once you take the car and contract, everyone, from sales to finance disappears and General Manager lady refuses to accept or return phone calls. Suggest buyers look around elsewhere.Well at least Steve the salesman was great
by Dennis on 04/13/2024Well I saw a car advertised on the AutoNation website and sent a message that I wanted to come in a test drive and was a cash buyer. When I was almost there, I received a phone call saying that car was sold (turns out a couple weeks before… but was still on the website) so I asked about a 2nd car and they said yes they have. Well when I got there I asked for a different salesman Steve, and asked to see the 2nd car, ooppps, that car was sold too. Let me say Steve was excellent and did everything he could for me but the dealership itself, well thats a whole other story. So I asked to see a 3rd car.. opps, that one was sold to along with the 4th and 5th cars. The salesman said let me tell you what we have. Well they had a Toyota Rav 4 so I said I would like to take a look at it. Well, they couldn't find it and then realized the mechanics had left it lifted in the air on a hoist and were off because it was a Sunday so that was car number 6 I couldn't see. Finally I said they show another Lexus RX 350 at another dealership and asked the salesman to call and see if they still had it. So he called and they had it so I asked if he could go get it and I would buy it providing it was in good condition but was more expensive so I would have to finance part of it.. So, he took my insurance information down and made a copy of the card BUT AutoNation wants an insurance card with their car added to your insurance. Well today was a Sunday and I couldn't just log into my insurance account and add a car. I mean, what dealership does that. Your insurance company always covers you for 24-48 after you buy a car. So AutoNation said they would accpet my insurance but woud have to add the next morning and I did. Well. before Steve left to take a Lyft to the other dealership to pick up the Lexus RX 350 he copied my insurance card and gave it to someone, finance I think and left. We were told someone would come out and gut us to take us to the finance dept. Well we waited for an hour and a half, nobody ever called us and my brother in law who went with me finally went up and asked when they will be calling us. Then someone came out and said they were waiting on my insurance card.. I was like, unbelievable, Steve photo copied the insurance card over 2 hours ago and turned it in... They took so many people in front of us as we waited for 2 1/2 hours just to back to finance which now has been 7 hours that we were at the dealership. They finally called us back to finance and that took us an hour at least to get through finance. When Steve arrived back with the car, the tire light was on. Steve said he adjusted the tire pressure and take the car and see if it rests later or bring it back and they will fix it. So I left and went home and the next morning it was cold and rainy, I pushed the button on the key to open the hatch back and it would not open, then i pushed the button inside the car and that wouldn't work. So I contacted AutoNation and told Steve about it. Well when I dropped the car off to get fixed, I received a call and set they fixed the tire pressure light but wanted to charge me $700 to fix the trunk release. I said what? Then they said they would split it with me because there was no warranty on the car. I basically told them to stick it and I was coming to get my car. - I will just take it to Lexus but this shows you how much integrity this dealership has. Besides Steve the salesman, the whole experience was awful and I will never go back. I should have went to CARMAX where I always had great cars and great service. FYI - They tried to sell me a warranty for $4100, and I said no, the mysteriously 2 minutes later they said the GM said he really wanted me to have the warranty and dropped the price to $3100 and I said no. Then 2 minutes later they said the GM said they would sell the warranty for $2100.... Ha.. So if you are ever desperate enough to buy your car at an AutoNation, and want a warranty, just refuse to buy it two times and then you will get it for 1/2 price, and they say its employee pricing.You must have REALLY, REALLY wanted a Lexus, to have put up with that! I'd have been out the door in under an hour, looking elsewhere.

by MS on 10/12/2023Do not waste your time or money. Its a scam, all they want is your money. We regret getting the car here and want to return it and go elsewhere, but they say it’s past the 5 days mark. We need to call them for any info or follow up. They… will not follow through or call back. Once confirm with appointments, we get there, prepare to wait for hours. They sold us a car that’s been in an accident , they claim they do an inspection and everything was ready. We get there, but the grille was missing. The old damaged grill was in the trunk with lots of junk. On top of that , we also found out the hood was loose and that the bumper was tied up with a zip tie which are unsafe for anyone driving. We brought it to their attention, and the answer is you signed the papers. Well , we thought you’d do your job of inspection and not hold up a bumper with a zip tie. We’d thought you’d be honest and sell a safe car for your customers. The irony is, we’ve been getting emails asking to refer friends and families and to give an honest review. We’ll give an honest review, and we’ll definitely not be referring people to this place. In fact, we’ll tell them all about the dishonesty and shadiness and to stay away. We have pictures or better yet, we’ll show them the zip ties. We can also call 3 on your side so unsuspecting people need to know how shady and unsafe this place is. They need to know who they’re buying from. Now we’ll eat up the costs of getting the hood and bumper fixed somewhere else. Probably for the better if all they did was tied it up with a zip tie in the first place. If management/owner is truly remorseful and care and wants to remedy , they need to compensate for our time and trouble so we can get the hood and bumper fixed so it can be label for safe driving. They probably will reply, “ sorry for blah blah blah, give us a call” then don’t even answer bc we did complain to the manager who didn’t even care.Excellent experience
by God Wins on 10/10/2023Our salesman and overall experience was the best! Justin was spectacular going above and beyond to help us find "the right car". He is a stellar employee that exudes kindness and patience. He was not pushy and seemed to genuinely care that… I had certain needs both with price and features of the car.. We had been looking for months and had many negative experiences to compare with. I stopped at this lot on a whim and found the make and model car that wasn't even on my radar. We then found the combination of everything I needed at one of their other lots and he jumped through hoops to get me connected to that car. It ended up being the homerun. He was incredibly respectful toward all members of my family and at no time did any of us feel uncomfortable. I would 100% encourage anyone looking for a positive buying experience to contact Justin at the Phoenix location!Easy and efficient

Deceptive and lack integrity.

I wanted to ensure I updated my review as Penny and the GM did exactly that, turned my first experience with trying to finance a car completely around and were very understanding. I know I most likely may have had a very different outcome and experience if I was at any other dealership that wasn’t AutoNation USA.
