Cedric McGinnis made our car buying experience stress free. He’s very professional & customer oriented & knowledgeable on all Kia products & services. This is our first look at buying a Kia so we were indecisive & nervous. He spoon fed us through the entire process. There were no surprises, all questions were answered to our satisfaction. He gained our trust & business. He is Highly recommended if you’re in the market for a vehicle!!

  • Horrible experience!

1 out of 5 starsby angelbrown on 08/09/2016

I went in thinking I would walk out with a vehicle. As they advertise if you bring home $350+ a week, you are guaranteed. This was not the case! Can you say false advertising. The customer service was horrible. The receptionist was texting and flirting with the salesmen, the building needs repairs. Something dropped on my from the ceiling. This was a horrible experience!!!!

Very amazing sales team and vehicle. I received a 200$ gas card from purchasing through Edmunds as well! The people were very welcoming & explained everything I needed to know!

My credit wasn't good - I was turned down at 3 dealerships in Huntsville. The staff at Kia worked with me, went the extra mile, and got me a new Forte. Highly recommend! Thank you University Kia!

  • TREATED HORRIBLY !!

1 out of 5 starsby jmingie on 02/23/2010

I have to say I ignored all of the bad reviews and my gut feeling and went to the dealership after being told SURE we can do this no problem we will have people lining up to work out this loan for you! We got down there and did the test drive, picked out the color and all just to be told they didnt think they could do the deal! They started leaving and closing WHILE WE WERE THERE!!! We drove an hour to get there! We were treated like TRASH! I explained everything over the phone to the internet sales mananger he said NO PROBLEM! Then when we could put down 4500 dollars they didn't want to work on the deal any; further! WORST CAR DEALERSHIP EVER!!!! Oh and not to mention they only wanted to give 10,000 for my 2009 Sentra....said that was what it blue booked for I guess they think we are too stupid to look up car values for ourselves....!! UGH!
  • WORST CAR DEALERSHIP EVER!

These people are [violative content deleted], They spent all day talking to me after emailing me for a month just because I looked at some car options online. Finally I decide its time for a new car, call them give them all of my information, they say sure no problem, run my credit I say and make sure, and they say sure its not a problem bring your last paycheck stub and your trade in and we'll see what kia fits you best and get you out in an hour, within ten minutes or less of being in the actual dealership they say sorry you need someone to co-sign or we can't help you! They are the biggest most worthless [violative content deleted] in the car buisness and I encourage all of you to shop somewhere else, personally I ended up at [another dealership] got financed within an hour without someone to co-sign and I'm very happy with my new car.

Purchased a new car from University a couple of weeks ago. Even though I have sub-standard credit, I was able to get it financed. BUT after being there for a while they came up with one deal for me which got changed to something else. It was a higher than normal interest rate, but seeing as how my credit is I didn't expect much better. A week and 6 days later, I receive a call from the salesman Corey saying that I needed to come resign some paperwork. On the hour and a half drive there I was hoping they came up with a better deal. Nope! My interest rate had been raised by over 2% and the payment amount was also raised. Sure the finance company may have had more to do with this, but NO ONE at University should have you sign paperwork for one deal and call you two weeks later to change that deal. Not only that, if they tell you this is the deal you're getting and you sign paperwork for it, THAT should be the end of it... For anyone at University that actually reads this, you should be ashamed. The lack of morals in our society is bad enough as it is. Btw, I give them two stars instead of one because they were very nice... Kinda like a kid that wants something.
  • WATCH OUT

WATCHOUT These guys are good and you must be aware of what they are doing. They offer $5000 trade in on certain vehicles. These vehicles have a $3000 ADM (dealer mark up) added to the price tag. You have to roll the KIA rebate into this offer which was $1000 so in reality they are only giving you $1000 for your trade. Other issue is after price is settle you r sent to the finance guy who does two things. He puts a $678.50 clerical/doc fee on the bill and then tries to sell you an over priced extended warranty, starts off at $2500 ends up at $1500 which is still too high. Most dealers get $150 clerical/doc fee. So reality is you receive about $500 for your trade. Just some things to understand if you want to do business here.
