    When I showed up to the dealership I met a sales man name Bill and I told Bill that I was having a lot of trouble with my back from a motorcycle accident and that I need the most Conteboe vehicle on the market and Bill said that would be a Volvo and oh my God he was spot on I love my new vehicle it is the most comfortable vehicle around

    We purchased a new XC60 here--Absolutely 5 stars for Paul Gonzalez, our sales consultant, and 5 stars for this dealership. We didn't know a ton about the car or the Volvo brand when we began our search, so we dropped by here on a busy Saturday. The store was strikingly clean and welcoming, and we received VIP service the instant we walked in, despite pulling up in a battered old car and looking nothing like luxury-car buyers. Paul greeted us warmly and sincerely, and we were immediately struck by how down-to-earth he was; no pressure or sleazy tactics whatsoever. He spent a long time test driving with us and teaching us about the car, and we left with a great feeling about the brand and this dealership in particular. We knew we wanted to buy from Paul when we were ready, but nonetheless we spent the next several weeks test driving and "interviewing" other dealerships in the area. We were amazed by the different personalities of Volvo dealerships we encountered! There was one that was rundown and filthy, where we stood for 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged our existence--only to finally be assisted by a depressed-looking man in dirty, smelly, casual clothes who refused to show us the actual car we were interested in. Another dealership was like a South Jersey mafia outfit, where the staff all dressed like gangsters and turned on the hard sell so aggressively ("We can give you a good deal ONLY if you buy TODAY"); we were beyond relieved when they didn't ask for our information after a 2 hour test drive, but insulted that they had zero interest in us once they learned we weren't buying that day. Note to dealerships: customers are interviewing you. Do you really think we want to buy a $50K+ car from a place that exhibits extremes ranging from disinterested boredom to hard-sell sleaze? Well, we didn't. So when we were ready to buy, we returned to Paul--and we are so glad we did. True to form, when it came time to work out a price, he was fair, genuine, and sincere; and together we arrived at a solid deal we were happy with. We feel so blessed to have found Paul and would wholeheartedly recommend him and Volvo of Tacoma to everyone!

    I highly recommend Volvo Cars of Tacoma. I had a great experience from working with the web team and then with my Sales Professional, Paul Gonzales.   • Dealership tried ticking me

    When negotiating a lease, the sales manager inflated the interest rate from 0.024% to 2.4% even though I qualified for the base rate. I knew the correct interest rate going in and the salesman even showed me the base rate. Also, they kept making mistakes on the mileage allowance. I didn't bother to see if they inflated the lease initiation fee. Overall, I felt like the sales manager was not being honest and was playing the typical car sales game.

    Dear O'Brian Auto Group It's with great disappointment that I inform you of my experience with your company. In the month of February, I attempted to go on a vacation to California in the NEW 2010 XC70 Volvo wagon (vin # yv49601b24a182163) my daughter, small dog, and myself had barely crossed the California boarder when the car began to run and sound odd; like it was choking. We had We had taken off on a California back road, for a scenic drive. The indicator light came on saying I had a engine problem, the car proceeded to get progressively worse, I then had to pull over and stop. Since we were in a remote area we didn't have cell phone service, so we had to walk into town leaving the car where it was. When we got to an area with service, I then contacted the nearest Volvo dealership ; Turner Volvo, Sac. Cali. They informed me that they were going to come pick up my car but they wouldn't have a replacement car ready un till the following day. I then had to rent a hotel room for the night and didn't receive the loaner car until late in the day, and received the disturbing news that my car would not be ready for two days. I had a family event to get to in Los Angles that day and was expected in Reno the following day. It is very rare that I get the opportunity to visit with this part of my family, the time and money that was spent because of my car breaking down is in my eyes and outrage, and a complete waste of my time. I feel that my vacation was ruined, I also ended up spending over what I had budgeted for this event. When we finally went back to the dealership to pick up our car I noticed that it was still making strange notices and asked the service garage about it, they told me that it was normal and we would be fine. When we began to make the long trek back home I noticed that the car still seemed sluggish. Again in the month of February I attempted to take yet another vacation, and again it was cut short. I was traveling alone in a very remote area on Skate Creek Rd; located above Packwood, WA, when without warning the car shut down. I was able to turn the car around and shut in off for several minutes. I then started the car up again, but it would not break five miles per hour no matter how much pressure I applied to the gas pedal. I drove as far as I needed to in order to receive cell phone service because of how remote the area was, and yet again contacted Volvo Roadside Assistance. I was instructed to stay in and with the vehicle and wait for the tow truck. Now had the tow truck brought the replacement vehicle to where I was broken down at and picked up my vehicle, I could of continued on with my vacation. I road along with my car in the tow truck to Tacoma to receive my replacement car. There should be more options available to your customers with your roadside assist program. What's most important to me is safety. This car has given me great fear to drive it. I do not trust that it is safe and dependable. For being a new 2010 Volvo, this car has given me more trouble right from the start then its worth. I am very surprised and upset that your company has not yet replaced this car with another new one. I don't believe O'Brian Auto appears to understand or care about my driving safety. I love to travel, and need a car that I can depend on, I also have a small granddaughter and I can't even begin to imagine this happening with her in tow. I have purchased other new cars in the past and I have to say that I haven't ever been this disappointed so quickly. Please correct this issue. I would hate to bring public attention to this matter.     My husband and I stopped by this dealership on the WED before Thanksgiving. We were looking to buy a Volvo C70 and had the funds to write a check and walk away with a car that day. If the car was available, or if I could have ordered the car, we would have done so that night. The Volvo C70 was my dream car. After walking around the empty showroom, we had to go ask for a sales associate to help us. He was unable to answer any of our questions about the vehicle, and referred us to the sticker on the window for information on the engine. I wanted a manual, and nobody could answer if this vehicle came in a manual transmission. When I went home, I found out manual transmission is the standard and automatic is an option. The first sales associate quickly dropped us when someone else walked into the room and passed us on to someone else. Someone who also didn't know anything about the Volvo C70. I asked to see a vehicle with a navigation system in it. He pointed outside and said there was one outside. We looked at him funny, so he grabbed his jacket and decided to come show us. I can't believe the lack of knowledge and professionalism of the sales associates from this Volvo dealer. I was ready to walk out that day with a new car, but nobody could help me. I am happy with the choice I made, we went next door and got an Infiniti G37S Coupe.
    • WE bought 2010 xc70 It is in the shop fore the seconond time now,this time two tecks from p.a. had to be flown to obriens volvoshop to try an figure out what is wrong with this car.This car is a real joke.If you like being talked down to, go see obriens service manager a real piece of work.Wont buy the time of day from these people. Look fore my wife an my self, we will been in front obrien with one huge lemnon on top of this new car very very soon.
