Our unpleasant experience at Lexus of Tacoma
by Sean B on 03/09/2024The experience my wife and I had with Lexus of Tacoma left us completely shocked and disappointed. We were absolutely taken aback by their deceptive practices when they presented the 2021 Lexus IS 350 to us in a filthy state. It was truly… disheartening to discover that they had deliberately concealed the touch-up paint on the rear door panel, a noticeable dent in the trunk, an unsightly curb rush on the right front wheel, and various scratches on the interior panels. It was only after a closer inspection that we realized how misleading their presentation had been. What made the situation even more frustrating was the fact that they didn't bother to wash the car or address any of these issues until after we had already signed the sales contract. It was only when they finally brought the car to us washed, and with some day light reflection, that we noticed the damaged rim and dent. It took a few days for us to spot the touch-up paint on the door panel, which further added to our disappointment. We understand that the car we were purchasing was used, and we wouldn't have minded the flaws and imperfections if the dealership had been upfront and honest about them. In fact, we would have still gone ahead with the purchase. However, it is the lack of transparency and the blatant attempt to hide and lie about these issues that truly bothers us. This kind of shady management clearly demonstrates their lack of integrity and honesty. As a result, we have decided that we will never recommend this dealer to our friends and family.Very classy and professional

So I went outside and started looking over the inventory myself; finally, someone came out and asked if I could be helped. I asked two questions: 1) when will your… 2021 S60 T6-R arrive? 2) run some ballpark figures on the 2020 S6 T5 in stock for a 36 month lease. Those two questions took two hours to get answered. After not being impressed with that experience, I walked next door to Lexus of Tacoma... a complete 180 experience - I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door being asked how I could be helped. Everyone was dressed in suite and tie and well groomed. My salesman, Alex, introduced himself and extended hospitalities to make sure I was comfortable. I came in with knowledge and numbers in mind of the current national promotion, Golden Opportunity; to my surprise, my salesman, Alex, turned his monitor around to show me he found the deal I was talking about and we were all on the same page. Jason the finance manager took the time to explain the details to me, and I solidified the deal with Ed the sales manager. When I took delivery of the car, the tech advisor, Connor, helped me set up my phone as well as explain the car’s technology to me. This was a very upfront and on the level car buying experience. This is a very professional and classy dealership worthy of a luxury car brand like Lexus. These guys are the bar raisers in the industry - setting the bar extremely high for every other dealership to try and pull themselves up to. Thanks Alex, Ed, Jason, & Connor. Within minutes of connecting through Costco’s car buying program I received a call from David at Lexus. We made an appointment for the next day. He… collected my info in advance so that we could jump into the test drive shortly after my arrival. My questions were answered directly, no high pressure sales. Once I had my preferred selection, the details were sent into Costco and within minutes I had my Costco price. David and the entire Lexus team were professional and efficient.
