Sorry - I wouldn't ever deal with Honda of Ft. Worth.

Honda's salesman presented me with an offer in writing for a 2023 CR-V. The offer, after trade-in and cash down, amounted to $615 month at 3.99% for 48 months. We signed the offer, and put $500 down to hold the car. When we went to get the car a few weeks later (it was in transit when we made the deal), the finance man tried selling me various overpriced maintenance agreements, which I turned down. He made a 2nd offer, which I also turned down. He finally told me he could offer just windshield and key fob coverage for that would, raise the payment to $620. I agreed and told him to print it up. We'd been at the dealership for an hour and a half by then and just wanted our car. I then made the mistake of trusting Honda, and their Finance man and didn't go over the details of each of the many pages we were told to sign and initial. The only figure I saw was the $620 per month that we had just agreed to.so I thought all was good. I assumed that what we had actually agreed to is what he had printed out. I found out a week later, from Honda Finance, that Honda of Ft. Worth's finance man had actually added on over $5200 of maintenance agreements that I had specifically turned down. He also jacked up the interest rate from what I had already been offered and had agreed to. He also changed the terms from 48 months to 60 months. That was just the beginning of a month long nightmare of phone calls, trying to cancel maintenance agreements I never agreed to in the first place, and trying to get an explanation for what they did to me. After not returning my calls, the salesman ran the finance man down for me by phone. The first thing I asked him was why he had changed the terms from 48 to 60 months. His exact answer was, "I don't know how that happened." He then said not to worry, there were just a couple of hiccups that could be fixed. So I asked him if he was going to fix the interest rate back to what I was promised. He said there was nothing he could do about fixing the interest rate now. I then asked him why he had added $5200 in maintenance agreements that he knew I had turned down. He said absolutely nothing. The only person who would respond to my complaints and questions was the salesman, who passed the information along several times to his boss and the finance department, who apparently weren't interested. After several emails and voicemails were ignored, 19 days after I first contacted Honda about the problem I finally got a voicemail from the Finance manager who said he wanted to discuss the situation. We played phone tag twice, and my last message was never returned. I was the one who had to call and cancel the maintenance agreements the finance man had added on against my wishes. I had to listen to them try to tell me what a great deal the maintenance agreements were and I shouldn't cancel them. When they finally gave up and agreed to cancel, they emailed a form I had to fill out and send back. I only had 30 days from the date of purchase to cancel. I was told that in a few days, a credit for the $5200 would show up on my loan. It actually took 21 days. In the meantime, I was worried if the agreements had actually been cancelled or if I was going to get stuck with the $5200. I contacted the salesman by email, left voice messages, emailed the GM, begging someone to tell me what was going on. I've still not gotten an explanation for why they did what they did. Bottom line - I'm paying around $800 in additional interest because the dealership did not honor the percentage rate we had agreed to. Obviously, I'll never go back there, nor will they ever get a dime from me at their service department. My advice, just stay away from these folks.

Best experience ever!

Billy Pieratt made this buying experience one of the best my wife and I ever had. Billy was very professional, knowledgeable and upfront the whole time we were there. It is a pleasure to work with someone of his caliber. For the first time I left the dealership without buyers remorse. Thank-you again Billy and Honda of Ft.worth. Rick&Laurie Somoge.

Bad experience

My wife and I bought a used honda pilot late in the evening on 9/20/16 from Honda of Ft. Worth. The saleswoman we worked with was named Diana. While on the test drive Diana told us of the work done to the vehicle by the service department among which was four new tires. After the test drive we decided to buy the pilot. Diana escorted us to the finance department and stated that while we were taking care of the paperwork she would fuel and wash the vehicle. Also, because we requested, she would obtain the list of the work that was performed which should have included the new tires. Following the purchase Diana walked us back to the Pilot. I was not able to fuel or wash the vehicle, she said, because of the late hour. I am also unable to give you a list of the service performed. We left the dealership disappointed. A couple of days later my wife noticed the road noise from the front passenger tire was louder than the other three. Upon measuring the tread depth of the tires I found three to be 9/32nds of an inch and the front passenger 3/32nds of an inch. When I called the sales manager, Brad, to ask that a new tire be installed in place of the worn one. Brad tells me he will look into it and call back. Upon calling back Brad says he made contact with Diana and she denied making any such statement concerning new tires, the service sheet does not mention replacing tires, and furthermore the vehicle was "sold as is". I was told the vehicle would be fueled, that did not happen. I was told it would be washed, that did not happen. I was told I would be given paperwork on vehicle service, that did not happen. I was told all four tires were new, that was a lie. Honda of Fort Worth, enjoy the small amount of money you saved yourself today by not replacing one tire because it will cost you quite a bit more when I need another honda. I can guarantee we will never step foot in your dealership again and discourage as many people as possible from doing the same. Brian Johnston

i sell toyota's but bought a honda

I sell Toyotas but i bought an Honda...and i like it...;)...noticed several things... -nice clean bright showroom -sales mgrs that actually get off there buff & work -a GM that was actively walking around each of the 3 days i was in & talking to guest just to talk to guest... -free "SWEET TEA" or other cold dp or coke on ice... -i ate a ribeye medium rare from there grill while filling out my credit app. & did not need steak sauce...;) -clean men's restroom that did not smell like a urinal even though it had two...;) -a sales staff that was able to please my wife even though i know she is hard to please...;) -but what made the deal was "THE CAR" luv the product i purchased.... thanx Junior walking the line Mata & Billy the hammer Pieratt...;)

Fantastic Service!!!!

The best car buying experience we have ever had! We were able to complete most of the work over the phone so when we got to the dealership it was almost complete. I have been to dealerships in the past and spent the entire day, but these guys were on it! The dealer even took the time to show us how all the features in our car worked and got us set up for the ride home. We traveled over 400 miles to do business with them, and we would gladly travel back! Make sure you ask for Nate when you go! He was very professional, helpful, and honest. Could not have asked for a better car buying experience!
