Honest and respectful

I had a great experience working with Justin on a potential remote purchase. He understood my position, was very willing to help, and was straight with me on pricing. He provided not only the CarFax, but also the full details of their inspection - including brake pad thickness and everything. He also gave a great virtual walkthrough. But nothing I can say here really captures the way he spoke with me like a peer human being, zero pressure, just open and wanting to help. I ended up not buying the vehicle (turned out it was missing a feature we were looking for), but I still have to give credit and kudos for being the best experience in my 2-month car search.

Buying experience for our new Soul

Best experience yet in buying a van

I purchased a 2017 Sedona from Parkside. I was looking for a vehicle that was comfortable and reliable. I needed a vehicle that could be comfortable on long rides for traveling between my children in Georgia , Tennessee and Ohio. The Sedona had all the features and then some I needed for the trips.

Bad Business

Worked a deal out via text and was very clear about everything. This was to be a trade plus cash deal. I was very clear about the amount of cash I had and about my trade in (just an old Ford pickup- wholesale vehicle). I was also clear about the fact that I didn't want to waste their time or mine. I made the offer and was told that I may need to finance 1 or 2 thousand. I told him that wasn't going to happen. I had X amount of cash and my truck and was not going to finance. Was told by Salesman "OK let me see what they can do". A couple of minutes go by and then I get a message "Bring me your truck" followed by "Let's make a deal" - I understood that as the deal was done. Apparently, I should have understood that they wanted me to come so they could not only change the sale price of the vehicle but also they now want an additional $6500 Not sure how you do business like this.

Comfortable and Easy Experience

Referred to me by a co-worker that has a long business relationship with Parkside Kia. Greeted warmly, I explained to the salesman, Mr. Warner, what my particular vehicle needs were. He obviously listened closely because he was able to locate a vehicle that matched those requirements perfectly on the first attempt. The balance of the process went smoothly from the time I arrived until I drove the vehicle from the dealership. I wish all dealerships were as prepared for customer needs as Parkside Kia, I will be back.

Good...at first....then, I opened my mail.

I purchased a new 2015 Kia Optima in October 2015 for a little more than $21k. It is currently in pristine condition with a little over 16k miles on it. I like it. Gets good gas mileage. Nice, for a 4 cylinder decent car. I received a letter in the mail yesterday with what looks to be a hand-written (but its not) letter from General Sales Manager Frank McMillan. I read the letter, thinking it was sincere in wanting my car back since his pre-owned inventory is low. I read further and saw there was a 'check' enclosed. The amount of said 'check' is $13,020. Now, I'm not in the market to sell my car. It's practically new. But...that number struck me very hard. If this car has depreciated $8k in 15 months, I have made a dire mistake in my purchase. Really? The dealership. Offering me $8K less than what I paid. That is a terribly bad testament to the quality of this vehicle if that, in fact, is the case. How insulting! To beat it all, after purchasing mine, my son and his mother went to Georgia and purchased another, slightly older, 2013 Optima in January 2016. Now, I have TWO of these worthless things. Great. Thanks. Good luck fixing this.

My sales consultant Steven Abshire, and General Manager Frankie McMillan were extremely professional and attentive to my needs and expectations. The team worked extremely hard to get it figured out, and in the end, with God's favor, we got it done!! I highly recommend these fine people for all of your New Car needs.

Good car, bad service

Bought new Optima after turning in leased Optima. Lots of promises made (come back to wash, full tank of gas) but no one returns calls. Was told lease would be paid off in full, but come to find out, Kia Finance wants extra fees that dealer won't pay. Won't do business with again.

New 2017 Kia Sorento - Knoxville

Our salesperson Herb Lambert was polite, informative and very helpful. He assisted us the whole way. He worked hard to get us the best deal. The rest of the staff there was just as professional. J.D. in finance was a pleasure and extremely straightforward and helpful. I purchased a new Kia Sorento. Going to a car dealer was never atop my list of fun things to do. This time, it was a pleasure. Everyone was nice and super friendly. Thanks to everyone at Parkside Kia. Keep up the good work!!!

I don't know how one person tells so many lies.

Went to buy a used BMW from this place. Was told a price on the trade I was trading in and a price on the car. Well when you go to the bank to get a loan all of a sudden prices starting changing and going all over the place. These people have lied to many times to count on your hands and toes. They make it seem good until you go to the bank. Then when you call them to see the bank has received the deal sheet they don't even say a word about all the prices that have changed. And then say whatever to make you happy but changes it at the bank. Also how do you expect to sell cars when you yell at your dang customers???

Advantage Taken of Inexperienced Buyer

published review 11/22/16 In June of this year - 2016 - I received an email from the Internet Sales Dept. at Parkside Kia in regard to their Exchange Program wanting to know and I quote, "If I could get you out of your current vehicle and into a brand new one with little or no money down, a similar payment, and possibly a better interest rate would you be interested?" I responded and told them, "Yes, I would, as long as the payment stays the same, no money down and it's an SUV." I made an appointment with them for June 24th at 2;15 p.m. Upon arrival and going over the details of how much the payment would be with the Exchange Pgm, I declined the offer because the payment would not stay the same as what I was paying for the Soul. The salesman went to check to see what used vehicles that might work for me and came back with a 2014 Kia Sorento that had just been traded in. The car had not been cleaned but I was assured that it had been inspected and everything was fine so I was agreeable to the trade - even though there were more miles on the Sorento than on the Soul I would be trading. I really wanted to get back into a SUV because my night vision isn't great and setting up higher helps me see, plus the Soul didn't go well in the snow and I need something I can rely on since I live alone. When I asked how much the Sorento would cost, I was told the finance officer would go over all of that with me when I went back to see him. That's when I should have got up and left. I was excited and caught up in the moment of getting back in a SUV but shortly after I got home and I calmed down, I started having doubts about the deal and the vehicle. I became concerned that I didn't get a print out of sorts in re: the vehicle inspection that was performed. One that shows ~amount of tread life remains on tires, last tire rotation, remaining life of brakes, front end alignment, condition of motor, transmission, and so on. I needed this info to begin tracking my maintenance. Also the back wiper was toast. So you can understand my unease. I was assured that I would be supplied the paperwork but when it came down to it, all I got was another copy of the Carfax. The car was detailed on July 8 and on the way over the truck choked out and died at the intersection of Cedar Bluff and Peters Road. I was and am so utterly disgusted at the way these people have made me feel that I didn't go back. I feel as if I have been beaten into submission and that is not a good feeling at all. I have taken my vehicle to Rusty Wallace Kia on Callahan for my oil change and tire rotation and while I was there asked them to check my brakes for me as my son was concerned. It wasn't a surprise to find out that I will have to get new front brakes when I get my next oil change. And now, the engine light has come on and I have an appointment with Rusty Wallace for Thursday to find out what that was. I will not and would advise any single woman that isn't proficient in haggling with car salesman not to go to Parkside Kia. I am 57 years young and while I don't expect special treatment, I do expect to be treated with respect, honesty, and not feel pressured/rushed into making a purchase.

Loved the smooth Transaction

Big shout out to Neil Rocha at Parkside Kia for working out a fantastic deal for me. Buried in a car that I felt trapped in, he made it possible for me to get into a 2016 Optima!! Loving the new car and all its features! The best part is when I decided to go ahead with it, he drove the car clear to Ohio through the night and delivered it to my house the very next morning! The ease of buying from him even out of state was incredible! Thank you so much for all your effort in making this transaction smooth! Would highly recommend :)

I purchased a 2016 Kia Sportage and the customer service was amazing. I recommend my salesman Darko to anyone contemplating purchasing a vehicle. He listened to my questions and concerns which was important. I didn't feel like I was just "another customer". I have already recommended a friend who also bought a vehicle from him. Parkside Kia is an awesome establishment with a fabulous sales team.

KIA of Knoxville, TN, Salesman, Ron Yelen

How lucky KIA is to have a salesman like Ron Yelen. Once I was a top supervisor for about 1200 Soldier's.I recognize right away their capabilities with just an interview with them. Ron was very well prepared about the Optima I purchased., You could see his personality was bubbling over with great self confidence to tell me all about the car. He spent about 2 hours after a test drive of the car, about each feature. He did an excellent presentation. I was very well pleased. He called me 3 consecutive days wanting to know if I had encountered any questions that he could help me with. All of the 65 years "I have usually made new purchases every 2 years," I never experienced such a overall presentation that Ron did.
