by ChadDemara on 03/13/2016updated 03/28/2016Every employee was polite and helpful while helping me understand the different options that were available to me for my first new car experienceInitially bad...but that was my fault. Will do anything to help though.
by jbl1975 on 03/14/2008When this dealership came to life in 2000, I started seeing ads for the Rio, being under $9000 new. In a bit of a bind financially, I was willing to trade my 1999 Ford Escort in for one to try to lower my payment. I figured even though I… would take about a $3000 hit, the loan amount would still be lower then my Escort was, thus my payment (which was $382/mo for 4 years) would still be lower for a 4 year loan or the same for a 3 year. After calling my insurance company and moving my plates over to the new car, they came to me with a payment of $385 for FIVE years. My jaw dropped and I wound up in a minor argument over how a car that cost less EVEN with the upside down could cost MORE in payment, (It was because I had an upside-down, no down payment, and shaky credit, so my APR went from 2.9 to 13.5), which ended with them knocking off an additive and redoing the contract for 4 years at $417. I ended up signing it due to them winning me over with that psychological "point of no return" thinking. So now I found myself, instead of paying LESS, I was paying MORE per month, which meant my finances were going to be even worse off then they were before. This was my fault, but I wasn't happy with their sales procedure. Fast forward 2.5 years. I am forced to get another car. I owe $7K on the Rio and it is worth only $1K, and it was having problems I couldn't figure out but were scaring me. I have a bankruptcy on my record now, still delivering pizzas (which was what I was doing then as well), and in almost dire straits. I initially went for a used 2002 Spectra with 20K for $8K. However, they figured out how to get me into a new Spectra, especially after my mother finally was willing to co-sign for me (it actually became co-BUY due to my credit record, with her name on top of mine to lower the interest rate). Before that, my salesperson, Charlene, was almost to the point of [violative content deleted] to get me financed alone, but now, she was able to get me a new car, and actually had the sales price lowered to a little under invoice. Despite taking a little longer then I wanted it to, and not giving me the answers I wanted quickly enough, the second time went over well.
