Worst Customer Service Ever

by PA on 11/24/2023

Richard Deeds is the worst service advisor I have ever met. I went in for a recall that BMW called me for, and when they gave me my car back 1 day later oil leaked everywhere and they said I need $5000 worth of repairs, after they inspected it. Never did it leak like that before. He hung up on me and blamed it on me when I asked for him to make it right. He didn’t even look at the problem but said I had an attitude when I didn’t even cuss or even yell. Not sure if Valley BMW is against American free speech, but Richard Deeds needs to be accountable.its not a coincidence that my car leaked oil everywhere after Richard Deeds serviced it, but apparently his unaccountability says it was. How do you hang up on a customer whose car you potentially ruined? Avoid this shady Service Tech.

Very sub par

by Simple on 11/20/2019

I contacted this place looking for a replacement key for my car. They were very happy to help and informative the first hour or so. Michelle and I decided text would be the best way for us to communicate. Then she told me at 9am that Alexander was working on my request and that he would be reaching out shortly. At noon I sent them a text asking if they were still working on it as I had not heard from anyone. Cricketts.... At 3 I sent another text, with no reply.... So at 430pm I figured they were just blowing me off for whatever reason. Very unprofessional, and sub par what I would expect from any car dealer much less a bmw dealer. Low class bottom of the barrel!

Friendly

Each time I am at the dealership for service, polite, friendly, and feeling welcomed comes to mind. This has been one of my better purchases, and the work done is prompt.

Car ran when I took it in and blows up when I take it home.

by UnhappyCustomer on 05/28/2018

5 weeks to repair timing chain and valve seal leaks. Drive it for two days it loses all the oil and seizes and throws parts all around the engine! No one calling me back from dealership and apparently could care less from the GM down. Now I’m without a car, no way to get yo work, and ready to sue the pants off everyone there!

TERRIBLE customer serivce!!! EXCESSIVE charges!!! Will never visit again!

by NeverAgain on 03/24/2018

I leased a new BMW from Valley BMW 3 years ago. Everything with the lease process was fine. No problems when I was spending money and giving them my business. The problem came when it was time to turn my lease in. With the BMW lease program (I found out later) you are suppose to get a lease end package with reminders and tips to avoid charges at lease end and information about the process. I never received anything from Valley BMW. About a month before my lease end I contacted them to ask about the process and learn what I should do to avoid potential charges when turning in. I was simple told to bring my car in when I was ready. No helpful hints, no tips, no information. The week I was going to bring my car in, I called again. I let them know I'm coming from about an hour away so wanted to make sure I had everything needed. I asked if there were any reminders people sometimes forget. Again, I was just told to bring the car in. I let them know I was getting new tires and wanted to make sure I got the right tires to avoid BMW tire charges. I was told they need to have a specific amount of thread was about it. When I showed up to turn my car in, the first thing I was asked is if I brought both sets of keys. I didn't. I understand I should of remembered, but it definitely would of been nice for them to let me know when I asked about things people sometimes forget about when turning in their car. If this was the very first thing they asked me when I showed up, I assume people forget often! I let them know again that I live almost an hour away and asked if I could mail the second key in. They simple said no and that I can either come back another day or pay the $550 fee for the missing 2nd key. We then continued on to the inspection of the vehicle. The next thing noticed was my brand new tires. The guy asked when I got them and I told him they are brand new (just got them that week). He then informed me they need to be "run-flat" tires and there would be a $1,200 charge for not having run-flat. I let him know I asked about the tires and was just told they need to just needed to have the right amount of thread. He simple said, it's in your contract and continued with the $1,200 charge. Again, my fault if it is in the contract, but they should of told me when I specifically asked about tires earlier in the week. Next he started to charge me for wear and tear. Scuffs under the the front bumper, $400. Who doesn't have scuffs UNDER their front bumper? $300 for a scuff on one of the wheels, $400 for a small ding in the rear bumper. $400 for another small ding and my total for a car in incredible condition was over $3,600 (with the lease end fee). I took the car home, Purchase run-flat tires, and brought the 2nd key in. I also let them know I'd be disputing the charges. They did not enter the car into the system as "under dispute" which delayed the dispute process with BMW Financial (not the dealership). When BMW Financial reviewed the pictures they quickly took all wear and tear charges off and my total ended up being just over $500. Valley BMW did not need to treat the lease end process like this! The charges were clearly excessive, they handled the entire process poorly, treated me terribly, and I will obviously never go back to this dealership!

Responsive and Reasonable

by MsStephanie on 03/06/2018

I had been looking for a Mini Cooper for a bit now and saw that Valley BMW in Modesto had one. When I arrived, there was no salesman around so the Manager took me for a test drive. He showed me some of the more important things that the car does and told me that this particular Mini was a 1 owner vehicle. He knew the person and that the car was in great shape. When we got back to the dealership, the Manager had me meet with Alex to go over some of the other items. They were very responsive to my questions and even though I told them I had to go look at a few other vehicles and talk with my husband, they were still very obliging and offered to allow me to take the car for a bit having filled out the credit app just to see if it was indeed what I wanted. I was hooked but wanted to look at one more and when I spoke with my husband an hour later he said, Go get it. It's what you want. When I got back to the dealership, one of the other salesman opened the door and said, You are back for your Mini.. I said yes. Again, the Manager came out and spoke with me, welcoming me back and very attentive until Alex could get back in to assist me. Needless to say, I was very impressed with my first experience with the Valley BMW and would recommend them, especially Alex, to anyone considering a BMW or any of their used vehicles. Thank you to all the staff for making my car buying experience such an awesome one. Stephanie

Be Careful When Purchasing Here

by Jason on 09/23/2017

I recently leased a new BMW from the dealership. As part of the deal, I negotiated for the BMW Lease Protection feature. My sales person promised, in writing, that this feature would be added to my lease. When it came time to sign the contract, they failed to bring the Lease Protection form with them. They told me not to worry, and assured me again, in writing, that I would have this added to the lease and that it would be visible "in the system." I recently drove my car to another BMW dealership and the new dealership confirmed that no such feature was ever added - and that as far as the BMW system was concerned, I did not have the Lease Protection feature. My attempts now to reach someone at Valley BMW to fix this have gone silent. This overall experience has dragged for 20+ days. My next steps are to contact BMW customer service. In the meantime, I would caution people before buying a vehicle here.

Not Satisfied at all

by Shakman on 11/08/2016

I have used Valley BMW twice now and both time have been an awful experience. Both visits were for oil change and it took them 3 days, both occasion they kept my car for 3 days. First visit they found oil pan gasket leaked so they fixed it. The next oil change they knocked off a seal off the headlight which caused water to get in and burn the bulb out. So I took it back to them and they could not find the leak and wanted to charge me over 2K to replace the entire assembly. They could not find the cause of the leak which is hard to believe. They went from $140 on the bulb to $2,400 to replace the entire assembly. Their service manger was short with me on the phone and did not seem like he wanted to cooperate. That will be the last time I will ever use or refer Valley BMW to anyone.

by niket on 08/23/2015

Valley BMW was one of the best that there is to car buying. Anthony Bhatti was phenomenal, not only got me a really good deal, he was an absolute pleasure to work with, answered all my questions and believe me there were too many. I would strongly recommend if you are in market for getting a BMW. Thank you valley bmw and especially Anthony Bhatti.

WORST BMW DEALERSHIP!!

by danbmw21 on 02/21/2009

I bought my first 2006 330i from this dealership in early 2006 and it's been nothing but headache after headache. I have had the car in for repair at least once every 4 months and the service dept seems to go out of their way to be as unhelpful as possible. The repairs required on my brand new car were major, so all the repairs took at least 4-5 days. Every time I took the car in, I had to beg them for a loaner so I could go to work and back everyday. I would expect this kind of service at a KIA dealership, but when you buy a BMW, you expect a higher level of service, and this dealership definitely does not even come close to that level!!

If you love your BMW do not have it serviced here

by chrisdriver on 03/06/2008

My experience with Valley BMW service has been a nightmare. In December 2007 I dropped off my 2005 M3 Coupe Competition for its scheduled 15000 mile inspection 1 service. While road testing my vehicle the technician lost control while operating the vehicle at an unsafe speed for conditions and his skill level, left the roadway to avoid running into another vehicle resulting in 20,000 + in damage to my previously outstanding condition car. It took a month for VALLEY BMW's adjuster to approve the repair estimate alone. The fact that the service manager made false and misleading statements to influence my decisions and failed to comply with laws concerning disclosure of consumer rights was brought to the attention of the general manager . The response was to declare ignorance of the law , refusal to identify the law enforcement agancy that the accident report was filed with and failure to keep promises to address the unfinished repair work and damage that the adjuster failed to report . 74 days after my most prized possesion was damaged by VALLEY BMW's negligence I still have not had the use of my car because they failed to replace 3 tires that were flattened when the car went off road.I will file an update when this matter is resolved.
