Amazing Sales Experience

by Carguy1970 on 04/11/2014

Usually the car buying experience is horrible at most places. After setting an appointment with their internet dept we met with Ken and right away he made us feel like we were a guest and not just a "customer". Very laid back kind of guy but sure does know his Toyota's. He sat us down and asked some key questions and then offered US choices about a trim level he thought would be a match. Sure enough he was right about his suggestions. The new 2014 Highlanders are in short supply and he offered to order us one built to our specs if he couldn't find one available that meets our needs. Ended up ordering a new Highlander XLE and can't wait to get it. Will post an update once we actually get it in about 3 weeks. I am sure the rest of the process will be just as excellent and he has been keeping us updated on the car's status in the pipeline.

Excellent car buying experience!

by JB73 on 04/08/2014

I purchased a 4Runner SR5 from Doxon Toyota recently. After submitting my information, someone from the dealership called me within minutes and set up an appointment for me to meet with Ken. When I got to the dealership, Ken was available and had the car inside the building, ready for us to look at. Ken made the process fun and easy, and helped my fiance and I connect our phones to the vehicle after the sale. Overall a very rewarding experience, would definitely work with Ken again.

Excellent sales service

by pastor9 on 03/29/2014

I found the car I purchased online and drove from out of state to purchase. The staff from online, phone and in person was superb, hospitality exceptional. The delivery process and the set up of the dealership is of the best I have experienced. This is a dealership you will be impressed by and well served.

PURCHASED SEQUOIA AT DOXON TOYOTA

by warrant_ero on 06/02/2009

Had a great experience at Doxon Toyota, had researched my purchase before I went looking. Doxon had the sequoia I liked at $9400 off MSRP as listed on their website. I went to the dealership, meet with a very pleasant guy and went to look at the Sequoia I was interested in. I liked what I saw but the price was $1000 more than what was advertised. I showed the salesman the printout showing the different price which they honored. He took the time to get the best percentage rate for our loan. We came in looked over our vehicle before we signed on the dotted line. The finance person took about 15 minutes to complete our paperwork, no hard sells on anything. We were done in about 15 minutes. A great experience overall.

a new twist to sales

by Craig867 on 02/01/2009

It seems like every dealership works the same way. Before you get out of your car theres a saleman 5 feet from your car waiting to sell you something you aren't looking for. You tell them what car your interested in so they assume you'll pay MSRP because that's the car you want so badly. Then when you sit down to settle on a price they take 15 minutes(smoke break) and come back with a price $100 less than what they wanted in the first place. You then tell them no and counter with another offer, they come back 15 minutes later with a price $100 less than their first offer. This is NOT how my expierence went with Doxon. Here's my expierence with Doxon Toyota/Scion: I came looking for an XB. they had 2 on the lot. One was tricked out with many gadgets, the other was bone stock. The listed price difference was around $6000. So, I obviously looked into getting the $16,000 one. We test drove it and i liked it. So we sat down to discuss the trade in value of my old car. I wanted $20,000 for my car which was 1 year old and I paid the invoice of $22900 for brand new. KBB in good condition(which i think it was near perfect) said it was $19500 when i looked it up for trade in (i research everything before i go to the dealer). Well, I didnt expect to get the $20K. I had to start high because they always want everything for free. They counter offered a trade in price of around $16000. I was really upset. It was such a low figure i laughed and nearly left. It was an insult. He then pulled out a piece of paper what said KBB or NADA on the top(i cant remember) saying my car in good condition was valued at $17000. This print out looked nothing like the KBB website and it listed only good condition trade in, not the 3 or 4 Very good, good, fair, and WTH trade in values. The salesman explained to me that no used car is in very good condition. I didn't completely agree with him, but to save an hour of arguing I agreed. So he says we trade in your car and give you the Scion XB and all you'll owe us is $3000. I'm like [violative content deleted]?!?!? you keep your car. My car is newer and valued way higher than your car. This was when gas prices were pushing $4 a gallon and my car got 15 miles a gallon. I wanted the Scion, but still i wasn't going to pay them anything. They were going to pay me. So, i countered yada yada yada....he comes back with a KBB print out saying his 3 year old car is in very good condition. I thought he just told me that no used car is very good...so we argued. It was a huge hassle. Very shady practice. Eventually we settled on a price. trade in and i get money back. I took about a $3000 hit, but it was something i was willing to take. Better than the pevious $10k loss he first proposed (i owe $5k less than what the car is worth). Doxon Toyota/Scion is a very SMALL dealership. They have a small selection to choose from with both used and new locations. I suggest you [go elsewhere]. Never settle for something that you don't completely love, the next dealership will have it. I will not buy a car from Doxon Toyota/Scion or any other Doxon company again.
