Buying experience at Alderman’s Chevrolet
by Anonymous on 09/01/2025I was hoping to give a 5 star rating but our experience was not worthy. Here are the reasons why. We sat down with Brian on a Friday at 4 pm and made the deal. Brian was great even stayed past closing to get the deal done. And that’s where… things started to go south. We were not going to be able to pick up the truck Saturday because the truck still had to go through the detail shop and Brian was busy with deliveries because starting Monday, when we picked up the truck, he was out on leave. We had an appointment at 3:30 Monday to get the truck and that appointment started out rough because the gentleman who we were supposed to meet with, had to leave at 4 for a family appointment so we were put on another salesman. So the third salesman we sat with went through the truck with us and walked us through the onstar call, which was made at closing time. He did stop once on his way out to see how the call was going then, like the rest, left the premises. Also on that Monday we did sit with finance and Mr Magro. Finance was very good but that’s where we found out that one of the accessories that we told Brian that we wanted had not been ordered because of a lot of confusion between sales and parts which meant that we had to wait another week for the accessories to be installed. Mr Magro was very good as well stopping numerous times on Friday to see how the deal was going and on Tuesday as well. On Monday after we were done with the onstar call we had noticed that there were scuff marks and scratches on the truck so we wanted to report the findings but the doors were locked and everyone had left so I had to stop by the next day to show Mr Magro and the body shop our findings. Also during the deal, my trade was gone through with, in my opinion, a fine tooth comb because we were told that we were getting X dollars for the trade because of a ding in the rocker panel that was hard to see because of where it was. We never once haggled over the price of the new truck or the trade price yet my trade was gone through, again in my opinion, with a fine toothed comb. It may sound like we are not happy with the deal or the truck, which is false. Just not happy with how some things went. Have all the above issues been resolved? Mostly. We will have to wait to see exactly what accessories were ordered, because of the communication breakdown, to see if they were the ones we had told Brian we wanted. The accessories, scratches and scuffs are going to be taken care of on Tuesday September 2. In my opinion, knowing that Brian was not going to be able to see this deal to the end, Alderman’s should have either had another salesman sit in on the deal or should have handed the deal off to another salesman. Also, in my opinion, someone should have stayed at the dealership when we picked up the truck to make sure everything went well with the onstar setup. Not that I needed a babysitter, just felt weird sitting there with onstar and the dealership emptying out because it was closing time..Chevy Trail Boss 2500

Knowledgeable and family friendly
by Mollie S on 01/18/2024I was so pleased by how easy they made the whole experience. They understood all the rebates and incentives and even made me aware of one I hadn't yet heard about. They put everything together for me and made sure I knew what I needed to… have ready or bring in. They knew about EVs and easily answered my questions. Lastly, they had very reasonable documentation fees and truly did not try to sneak anything else in there. I Before working with Alderman's I was talking with another dealership who was charging 2.5x as much for documentation fees, then they were piling on a care package without choice for another $1.5k. The other dealership also did not understand all the rebates and did not know much about electric vehicles. By going with Alderman's I got more car (higher trim level with a better package) for less money than I would have spent at the first dealership! I also felt much less stress and more confident in my purchase. Truly a fantastic experience and team there at Alderman's. I will recommend them to anyone. They even welcomed my 2 year old daughter and brought her coloring pages while I signed paperwork. Excellent team!Great deal, great service!

by JC on 08/20/2019I had been shopping around for a new truck for about 4 years, tired of having to repair my everyday driver, every day. Looking to find that certain one that had what I wanted. Was going to buy a new truck, order it from GM to get exactly… what I wanted but found out the color and cab orientation I wanted was not even available anymore. So I turned my sites to a used truck. I found only 5 in North America, with all the correct features. One of those I found to be here at Alderman’s. This one also had the lowest miles and surprisingly was by far the cleanest, lowest in price compared to all others found with all the same features. Priced at almost 20k below the new truck price, in the color and cab orientation and 4x4 as I wanted with very low miles, and like new condition. Alderman’s where honest and quick with any request of info and were easy to work with. As of now, I have just put on a little over 5k miles, and completed its first 500 mile road trip, it is still beautiful. Other than a few upgrades that I did out of personal taste (not necessity), and a few basic maintenance things (that any vehicle would require, oil, filter, etc.) It has been phenomenal. Quite, powerful, reliable, safe. Rides, operates and looks like new. I have received more questions and positive attention from other drivers with this truck then I have with some of my classic cars. by Tom on 04/16/2019Could have been an easy sale for Aldermans, but it was derailed at the last step over a few hundred dollars. After researching for 2 weeks, I found a used Chevy Volt I wanted to buy, at Aldermans. I'd looked at probably 40 cars online and… 5-6 in person with test drives. I felt prepared, with a written list of 25 comparative cars in the region (within 500 miles). The car had been on the lot moer than 30 days and had multiple price drops. Seemed they'd be eager to sell. The sales rep Skye was very responsive, reliable, knowledgeable, and professional. She had the car out in the lot for me to see on sunday when the dealership was closed, so that I could decide whether to stay over night in a hotel to close the deal on Monday. We had driven 3 hours to get there from MA. She had the car ready and dried off from the rain when I arrived. After a positive test drive, we sat down and I started by saying I liked the car but also wanted a good deal, and had comparative prices to help with that. She explained the "Live Pricing" model, based on current market prices. We spent 2-3 hours discussing details of the car and the process including insurance and registration. Cutting to the chase, I wanted to buy the car and Skye presented the list price. I told her I knew where I wanted to come out on price. Rather than go back and forth, she asked me what that price was, and I signed an offer for that at $395 less than the asking price. She went to the Used Car manager and came back with his answer - No, the price is the price. I was surprised that he didn't offer anything since we were only 2% off his asking price, just $395. So I said my offer is my offer, I wouldn't go higher. Then he came by and told me again, he wouldn't budge. He'd done his pricing research and felt he could sell the car at his price. He'd just had a customer in the day before who passed on it. I told him about my comparative cars but he had no interest in any research other than his own. Honestly, I felt disappointed, but also disrespected and didn't want to do business with him or Alderman's at this point. I walked, over $395. I didn't want the car enough to give him any satisfaction, after we'd driven 3 hours, stayed over night, and worked with Skye for 3 hours. My wife also drove an extra hour north to retrieve plates from another car so that we could drive the car away that day, which would have saved Alderman's the cost of a driver to drive the car for us to MA. Not once, from my first phone call and emails to Skye, until the very end before I walked, did Alderman's tell me they would not negotiate at all on this car. The "Live pricing" is a great model, but it doesn't say anywhere they won't negotiate. If this was going to be their position, which it apparently was from the start, then the only fair thing to do would be to tell me up front. If they had told me this up front, that they would not negotiate at all, I would have had the opportunity to think about it before I did anything further, saving my wife and I an enormous waste of time and head aches.Great Experience

Took the time to show me things, explain things, even crawled into a vehicle to show me… that my over six foot tall boys would be able to fit in the vehicle. He kept me informed of the status of my application. Then when I came to pick up the vehicle, he helped me set up the controls and settings. Very thorough, very nice, I would definitely send people over to see him. Also my Chevy Trax had the battery light blinking, so I drove it back the next day. Adam the service dept manager, took it right in to look at it. They figured out the problem but couldn't fix it until the next morning so they gave me a loaner for the night. When I called the next day my vehicle was all ready. I went to exchange for my vehicle with no hassle, no problem. Dave the new car sales manager was very apologetic. I thought even with the hassle of the battery light...it was a very pleasant experience.Thank you for taking the time to submit this amazing feedback.
