oil change and complimentary vehicle check

onI had my first oil change on my elantra gt sport which was complimentary and the vehicle check and I had a few questions for the assistant service manager Dave who was very helpful. He came out to my car and took the time to clarify my questions regarding vehicle settings through the interface which were confusing to me, since the Manual is a bit vague in making it easy for the customer...upon completion of the service Dave told me that Raphael who is the Service Manager was out in my car attempting to adjust the Smart Cruise Control settings for me. We took a drive in my car and he was able to adjust the settings for me regarding the distances that I wanted set for the proper spacing behind the vehicle in front of me when the smart cruise was set. It is now clear to me what I need to do when adjusting this setting in the future. He was extremely helpful in doing this for me because another dealership may have said to just read the manual which as I previously stated is not always simple to understand...to me that is going above and beyond which I highly value...both Raphael and Dave should be highly commended

Can't recommend Fred Beans service

onUsed this service area on two occasions. Despite low expectations I was extremely disappointed by my experience on both visits. My Santa Fe was not completed at the promised time on either occasion. On the first visit not all requested items were not addressed. On the second visit a one year old vehicle was failed for safety inspection due to a hairline crack in the tail light. No white light was visible through the crack and it met requirements as stated in the PA code. A new lamp assembly ($200) was required to pass inspection.

onI took my Sante Fe in on a Saturday for a State Inspection and Oil Change. Dropped the car off at 7:30 AM and was told that it would be finished by noon. When, by 2 PM I still haden;t heard from them, I called and was told that my car would be completed within the hour. I asked if they had "found" anything wrong and was told that it would be finished in a hour. When I went to pick it up, while they put an Inspection Sticker on the car, they told me that "my brakes passed but that they should be changed within 500 miles!". HOW could they have "passed" if they needed to be replaced in 500 "short" miles??? I took my car to another repair facility and was told that, in FACT, my brakes SHOULD NOT have passed inspection, they were so bad...Not only did Fred Beans Hyundai inconvenience me, they lied AND they put my safety at risk. When I tried to contact Mr. Beans, the same Service Manager who lied to me tried to call and apologize. It will be a cold day in hell that I buy or service a vehicle at any Fred Beans Dealership. He may be the :biggest" game in town but he sure isn't the ONLY one!

onUsed them on 2 occasions for state inspection and a voluntary recall/oil change. For both visits, I specified a morning, while-you-wait appointment. Both times, they took my car in right away, and it was finished when promised. They even submitted a rebate for using a specific brand of oil for me. The waiting area had plenty of magazines, free coffee, and a large satellite TV. The also have a free state inspection deal (you still pay for emissions inspections, but it still saves a few bucks), regardless of where you purchased your Hyundai. Also used their parts counter to buy mudflaps. They matched an online store price without haggling.
