I cannot vouch for any experience in the sales department, but steer clear of this dealership for service. Gave them multiple chances to win me back over due to bad personal experiences, and they did not live up to expectations. My pickup truck was in on august 6th for routine state inspection/emissons and also to perform a recall repair to the door latch assemblies on all four doors, which required the door panels to be taken off. Upon receiving my vehicle back from service I had noticed grease marks all over my door panels, with a couple of small scratches on the trim pieces on the doors, and fingerprints all over the windows. Not how your vehicle should be treated for service. I had called back and spoke the Rich in the service department and told him how I was displeased with the lack of care and unprofessional treatment I received. Although I told him I was not looking for any free handouts, he offered for me to bring my vehicle in for a full detail the next time it was in for service. I just wanted him to tell the tech that worked on my truck to pay a little more attention to detail when working. Fast forward to October, (the next time it was in for service), it was in for a rear axle squeak and to check the rear defroster because it wasn't working. They did perform a full detail, which i greatly appreciated. They told me the rear axle brakes needed to be adjusted, and that a rear glass would have to be ordered under warranty. Finally, in late October the rear glass had come in to the dealership to be replaced, and also when the truck was in, I asked them to recheck the rear axle because I was still hearing squeaking. They said they could not find any additional issues with the rear axle and to keep an eye on it (it is still making noise to this day). Rear glass was replaced and all seemed well. The following day I pick up my son from day care, (he is in a carseat) and we start to drive home and upon making a right hand turn up an incline my son falls forward in his carseat into the front seat/console. This was the last straw for me. They had FAILED as a service center/dealership to notify me that the carseat was removed to service the rear glass. Very upsetting that I wasn't given any notice of removal of the carseat by either phone or my service ticket, and it put my son's safety at risk. The carseat was put exactly back where it was before, when they simply could have laid it on its side to "tell" me it was unsecured. I had called the next morning and spoke to the service manager, Jerry to express my displeasure with the situation, and although he did apologize about what had happened, he said it "really" wasn't their wrongdoing because they sub out glass repair and its not done by anyone who works in the dealership. HELLO? You subcontract work out to him, therefore YOU are responsible for his actions. I had then called back and demanded to speak to the owner because I felt like my issue was just swept under the mat "no harm no foul". Of course I was told Mr. Keyser (I believe) was not available, and that I would be able to speak to the next in line, Mary Stevens. I was put on hold and then was forced to speak to Tim Hetrick, who is supposedly the GM of the dealership. Once again, I explained to him my situation and displeasure. When a dealership removes a carseat for service they either have to tell you via phone or service ticket that it was removed, they cannot re-secure it due to safety reasons. He did agree that they dropped the ball on the situation and that it would not happen again. Look, I understand things happen, but when you put my sons safety at risk, that took the cake for me. I never even care to write reviews, but I felt like I had to write one because I simply don't want this to happen to the next person. Mr. Keyser, if there is even one, I hope you read this review, and teach your service employees basic customer service. For these reasons, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
everything was good
Ron and Rick went above and beyond my expectations to get the deal done. Couldn't ask for better service. Highly recommend Keyser Miller Ford.
My salesperson at Keyser Miller was a real no pressure person. They did not have the car I wanted on their lot but they found it for me and the process was the best I have ever had at a dealership.
Replace Carbon Monoxide Panel
Repair done in the specified time. Was a snowy day and the service person went and got my car and brought it to the door.
Satisfaction with Competent Service - Keyser Miller Ford
Completely satisfied with the service that was provided. Reasonable price. The service was very thorough. The staff was helpful, knowledgeable and efficient.
Extremely simple and convenient service- no hassle sales team that was easy to work with and very helpful. 2nd car I have bough there and would recommend to anyone to purchase from them!
A good price was quoted via internet which they honored. They worked with us to understand and program the various electronics which came with the car. The closing was good. They proposed the usual extended warranties which I rejected based on overall value. Ford ought to provide a seven year bumper to bumper warranty even if it means increasing the price. Perhaps a discount to a three year lease arrangement would simplify and be more attractive.
Don't Buy Used Cars from Keyser Miller!!!
Keyser Miller Ford buys used cars from auctions, doesn't properly check them out, throws an inspection sticker on them when they're not safe, and sells them as if there are no problems. Bought a car that appeared to be perfect. After 9 months of service issues, it was realized that the entire frame was rotting away. Turns out the car was in some type of flood and the frame rust was painted over. After dealing with a rude used car manager, I was left with no choice but to trade it back to them for less than I originally paid. The dealer that found the rot issue said the car was unsafe to drive, but Keyser Miller put inspection stickers on it 9 months earlier. New cars may be ok, but their used car process is a sham. Buyers beware!
Keyser Miller Ford (Collegeville)
I bought a brand new Ford Focus from them in 2007. I got the tan inside and out. I found out soon after I bought the car that tan seats stain very easliy. Even water will stain them. I had a probelm last year with my car. After owning it 2 years there were no problems until this one. There was a noise comming from the passanger side back of the car. An annoying squeaking noise. I took it to the dealership ( I had a warranty). They kept my car a few hours. I went to get it, they said they didn't hear anything. Ok, I knew I wasn't imagining this noise. So after a few weeks I took it back again. Again I left my car with them. After a few hours I went to get my car. Again, I was told they did not find anything. I took Neil for a ride around the parking lot. He heard it but said the guys looked at my car and did not find anything wrong with it. I took my car to my mechanic and he looked at it and after 10 mins found the cause of the noise. I took my car back to Keyser MIller and told them what he had told me was wrong with my car. I asked to speak to the manager of the service department. I spoke to him explained the situation and asked him to go with me fro a drive in my car so he could hear there was something wrong. He did. I again left my car with them for the thrid time. It was fixed after another day of not having my car. Just this past March I was hearing a noise when I turned my wheel to the left. I took my car to Keyser MIller Ford in Collegeville. I left it with them for a few hours. They called me back saying they found nothing wrong with it. I picked it up it was still making the noise. A week later I took it back I took Neil for a drive around in the parkig lot I heard the noise 2 times he did not. Again after not having my car for 4 hours while they looked at it, I was called to pick it up. I did and it was still making the noise. Ford told me that it was the wheel stop. That ment I was turning the steering wheel to the left and it stopped moving. That was the sound they found! Well I again took my car to my mechanic. He turned the wheel to get out of the parking spot and heard the noise. He said something ( I forget what it was called) was rubbing against the spring. I wrote it down and went back to Keyser Miller. I asked to speak to the manager. I spoke to him, took him for a drive in the parking lot. It was fixed. If you are not persistant I do not recommend buying a car from them. Because if something goes wrong woth it you will be left without your car for a few days.
