Great Experiance

onWe are more than thrilled with our new (for us) Subaru Forester and our experience at Huebner Subaru. I've been in many times to talk with John Leahy to talk Subaru. He's always been very patient talking with me, even when I was not buying, and is clearly enthusiastic about the company. I love Subaru's commitment to the environment, animal welfare, and their customers so the more I learned the more I hoped for a Subaru some day. I guess timing is everything and I happened on our Forester on Autotrader the day it was listed. It is a 2015 model with under 4000 miles (so slightly used) and was a Huebner loaner. It is LOADED with all the cool stuff including Subaru Eyesight. It was a dream come true. John showed us all the bells and whistles, and then some, and I knew the car was ours halfway through the test drive. Thanks John for all your help.

Buying our first Subaru

onNever once after entering this dealership did we feel pressured to buy. We drove an hour to get there, and upon entering the doors, we were directed to John Leahy. We were so happy to work with John in purchasing our first Subaru. We were amazed at his knowledge of the Subaru and we could tell he was very genuine. You could tell he enjoys what he does and he is proud of the Subaru - well, that sold us! I have to tell you, this dealership and Subaru is a class act. Do not hesitate to make the drive to Carrollton to buy a Subaru because it is a drive well worth it! Also, the finance team was wonderful to work with. They made the experience very easy.

And our new car even arrived several days earlier than the expected delivery date. John was extremely helpful and informative, as this was our first Subaru. onMy wife and I went to Huebner Subaru to look at a 2015 Forester. John Leahy took us on a test drive and explained the safety features in great detail. It quickly became clear that he knows just about everything there is to know about Subaru vehicles. We decided to purchase the vehicle and John personally cleaned the car and synced my wife's phone to the hands free calling system before we left the lot. Their pricing and financing options were very good as well. Overall our experience was excellent and I would recommend contacting John Leahy if you're considering a Subaru.

onThe perfect blend of a small town family business that hasnt let todays mega car dealerships make them obsolete. This is the third car we have purchased in the last seven years from John Leahy at Huebners new 2009 & 2015 Outbacks and a used car for our daughter. John is very knowledgeable of the car he is selling, and truly cares about his customers no high pressure sales tactics here. Dealership is built upon maintaining long term relationships not one time sales. Truecar.com pricing takes all the fun (or pain, depending on your viewpoint) out of negotiating a deal. A dealership in a small out of the way town would never survive in todays internet world if they didnt offer both the best pricing and service they are worth the drive. Nothing but positive experiences with the Service department over the past seven years with her first Outback. The reliability of Subaru means we wont be back for a new car for a few years but when the time comes to replace the 2015 Outback it wont take long to decide to head back to Carrollton and Huebner.

onI drove from Rochester, NY to trade in my truck for a used vehicle that Huebner recently obtained. Being 5+ hours away and committed, I fully anticipated to be taken advantage of for the offer I was promised earlier in the week for my trade-in. I was immediately and respectfully greeted upon entering the dealership. This might seem like normal dealership procedure, but there was a way about it that had a unique way of putting me at ease. They stuck to their word and did not pressure me on anything upon closing. I would like to thank Katie for her prompt and honest communications and everyone else at this dealership for breaking the car dealer stereotype.

BAD BUYING EXPERIENCE

onI had a very bad experience buying from Heubner. I bought this truck after finding it online. The vehicle was grossly misrepresented. Upon picking it up, the vehicle had scuffs / scratches / dents all the way around (front bumper / right side / rear of cab, rear tailgate, rear bumper). None of these were disclosed upon asking them about the truck, and the pictures were deceptive. Also upon picking up the truck, I found that the rear tires were almost wore down to an unsafe condition. Upon asking my sales rep. to talk to the manager, she went and got him. He was absolutely the rudest, most unprofessional individual I had ever met. He offered to knock off $200.00. Upon me refusing that offer, he threw his papers down on the ground and told the sales rep. to "send me home", that he wasn't going to sell me the truck. Since I didn't like the way it was going with him, I told him I wanted to talk to the owner. He immediately said he was "busy". I told him I know the owner would want to know that he had an extremely unhappy customer on his hands. I told him to please go check. He stormed off, and said he was eating lunch. I once again told him I was sure he would want to talk to me about this issue to help resolve it. I've worked at dealerships, and I've always known the owners to be outstanding, and very understanding individuals. He once again stormed off and came back saying the owner said he would knock off $500.00, but that's it. "TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT". I told him I wasn't happy, and that I felt I got taken advantage of. But he didn't seem to care. Am I happy about the deal? No, I am still not. On 3/17, I wrote an email to the General Manager after receiving a cookie cutter "How was your experience with us" email. I still have not received a reply from them, so it is obvious they don't care about unhappy customers. So my advice, stay away from this dealership...

onI searched for a month in the South trying to find a Tahoe at a good price. Huebner knocked all of them out of contention. Being long distance (over 500 miles) away I was skeptical but the sales staff (Katie and Lee) and management staff made the deal very smooth. Flew into town the night before and was driving home within a few hours of getting to the dealership.

Made car buying easy

onAbout a year ago my husband and I met Katie at Huebner's she had us test drive a couple of vehicle's we thought we might be interested in. None of them were what were were looking for. We told her that we take a long time purchasing a vehicle and that we would check back with her again. A couple of times through the months she would give us a call if there was something she thought we might be interested in. About 10 months later we called her regarding a Chevy Traverse (which was not even one of the vehicles we originally started out looking at) Katie set up an appointment to see and drive the Traverse. Worked with us on questions etc. And after a couple of days we were thrilled to purchase the vehicle I had been wanting for some time. Katie is one of the most pleasant sales people we have dealt with and was never pushy or calling us all the time. Actually she admitted that after 10 months she thought we had probably already bought a car somewhere else. We told her that when we said we take a long time we meant it. If you want to have a relaxed buying experience call Huebner's and talk to Katie. There was no one at Huebner's that wasn't pleasant and nice. A very relaxed atmosphere.

onIn the 30 or so years of my adult life that I've bought cars, this was the most pleasant experience. Not only was Jackie DeWitt easy to talk with, she made the deal very clear to my wife and I, the clearest I've ever had (after buying a dozen or so cars in my life). She made us feel comfortable asking questions, and she worked hard to get the deal to the point where we could afford it, and never ever made us feel that buying a mere Cruze made us somehow less important than the folks buying a Suburban. Everyone in the dealership works hard to be sure the customer feels they're valued and that return business is important. It's how it was when we bought cars from those small hometown dealers run by a neighbor or friend, in the days before megadealerships took over everything. And it was professional and honest, too. A clean and modern facility. Good selection of vehicles. Just a great experience.

Best car buying experience I've experienced

onFrom the moment I started working with Ned M through my quote request via the Subaru website he was upfront, responsive, and knowledgeable. I'm from the Pittsburgh area and tried finding a good deal closer to home, but Huebner was more than worth the short drive. Not only did they have the best pricing I could find, they were are the most straight forward, least slimy dealer I dealt with. I would highly recommend Ned M and the rest of the staff at Huebner. If I had to provide any criticism, it would be: 1 - We did have a slight communication issue regarding the delivery date and my intended pick up plans. This was quickly resolved and ultimately did not delay the sales process or cause me to incur any additional costs, and Ned was very apologetic for it. 2 - I wanted to finance through Subaru because I knew I qualified for the special rate, but Huebner initially ran my loan through Huntington. This would've been fine, had Huntington been competitive on the rate, but they were 1.3 points higher and also charged an origination fee. I would've expected the finance department at Huebner to find me the best possible deal they could get me on my financing, especially given the amount I was putting down and my outstanding credit score. I was a little disappointed that they did not do this. I was told it was just a matter of habit and that they typically always use Huntington. Ultimately, they switched the financing to Subaru and got me the better rate, so everything worked out. My advice for others would just be to do your homework and make sure you ask specific questions when signing all the papers to be sure you're getting when you expected. Despite these issues (none of which I feel were done intentionally), it was an overall extremely positive experience and by far better than anything I had experienced at other dealers when attempting to make the same purchase. I highly recommend buying your next car from Huebner!

onLast Tuesday we stopped at Huebner to look at Subaru Outbacks in the lot. Kyra M. came out to talk to us (in 20 degree weather) and showed us several Premium models. We test drove one, told her we'd be in touch and then called when we got home to tell her we also wanted to consider a Limited and made an appointment for Thursday. When we showed up, she had the car we drove and a Limited model next to it for us to easily compare. We left Thursday with price and trade in finalized, received a call Saturday that she found the Limited we wanted at another dealer and it would be ready for pick up on Monday. At no point did we feel pressured or have that uneasy feeling that usually comes during this process. Kyra was a joy to work with and her knowledge of Subaru's cars (including the mechanics), her ability to anticipate the next step and her great personality made the whole experience terrific! And, by the way, we love the car!
