My daughter purchased her first new car (a RAV 4) and I helped her shop. As soon as my daughter decided to buy the car, Hickory Toyota’s care and attention, their follow through, went bad. The salesman botched the paperwork and caused the final sale to be delayed 24 hours. He was not a prompt, proactive communicator. He continually referred to me as the buyer, not my 28 year old daughter. Despite repeated attempts to correct the dealer’s database and show my daughter to be the owner, the data has never been corrected. Lip service is all she gets. What a shame. A first-time buyer, she loves the car, but the dealer doesn’t care enough to correct its simple error. Frustrating.

I live over 2 hours away from Hickory, and have never been there, but I just bought a 1794 Tundra from them! I sent in an email and Nicolette responded almost immediately, asked what model I was looking for, asked me about my trade in and presented some numbers to me. After a few emails (mostly delay on my part), a deal was struck. I was contacted by the sales manager, general sales manager and the internet manager within one days time frame ensuring I had all the info I needed to make a smart decision. I checked with a few other Toyota dealers and Hickory beat them all and even delivered the truck to me in SW Virginia!! I wonder if the salesperson at a different Toyota store regrets asking me "are you sure the 1794 is in your budget"? Oops, sorry amigo. Great job Hickory Toyota!

My husband and I recently purchased a 2015 Toyota Tundra. The service and process was so painless that we went back and bought a 2015 Scion FR S. Same thing...wonderful service!! Then the unexpected happened. Last month (before finding Mike Johnson Toyota of Hickory) we bought a 2015 Honda SI from Hendrick Honda of Hickory. Great car but awful treatment and nothing but lies from each department from sales to the general manager JR Fredell. Mike Johnson Toyota traded the Honda for another 2015 Scion FR S. We are sooo happy!!! We have 3 great new vehicles and have made some awesome new friends. Thank you Mike Johnson Toyota of Hickory!!!

How a car deal should be. After doing research and trying to reach a deal at other dealerships we decided to give Hickory Toyota a chance. Upon arrival we found out that they did not have the color, even though the dealer has a huge number of cars on the lot, we wanted for our new car. Still talked to a saleman and explained what we were looking for. We told them how we would trade and of course we were told no. Not really an issue was expecting this. As we started to leave the GM came out and said ok. The entire process took 10 min not hours like at other dealers. Very friendly staff did not try to push things we did not want.

My day started out emailing Andy Lawhon who I believe is a sales manager to get a price on a highlander. Prior to this I tried to get the same information from 3 dealers in Charlotte area and no one would give me a straight answer. I told Andy what I wanted and that I wanted a price out the door. He responded within 5 minutes and the deal was made. I drove from Charlotte to Hickory to Mike Johnson's dealership and found out that April Goudelock would be handling the details of the purchase. April was very pleasant and very informative.I was introduced to Chris Andrews the finance guy. He had the contract written for the price with no surprises. The deal took less than 30 minutes from start to finish. I can't say enough about the ability of the staff to provide such a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend this dealership and April as the salesperson to see. I have been in business for over 33yrs and would hope that my employees have treated customers as well.
