No hassle and effortless lease transaction

I enrolled in the Costco auto program and they steered me to Smithtown Acura and the sales rep John Schepp when it was time to trade in my Acura RDX lease for a new car. All options were explained to me and he was able to get the car and payment plan I wanted in two days. Very pleased with everything. It was worth the trip out...plus, Maureen’s Kitchen made for a great pit stop. Thanks Smithtown Acura!

2019 RDX - left me in unsafe situation - They don't Care!

This has been the most horrible lease experience of my life! I spoke with a salesman there, Charlie. I told him what I was looking for, and stressed that my number one priority is having a very good in car navigation system. After speaking with him, and going over pricing etc. I decided (in September 2018) to lease a new RDX 2019. I went in to sign the lease agreement and leave a deposit. When I arrived I was met with "I quoted you incorrectly, the quote you were given was for a car without a technology package" I was annoyed, and since I said the navigation was most important, I wasn't sure how this mistake was made. After going over everything, I decided to go ahead with it, and paid a higher price. I went to pick up the car, immediately I am met with my first issue. There is a crack in the mirror case. I am assured that it happened on delivery, and they are so sorry and a new part has been ordered and they will contact me as soon as it comes in to replace. A little over 2 months later that has not been taken care of. Now my most recent and biggest problem occurred the other day. (Keep in mind it is 2018, and the BRAND NEW CAR is a 2019) I am a female who works LATE night hours, and is on the road for work, many times in neighborhoods I am unfamiliar with. I rely heavily on my navigation. The other day I put in an address and began my trip. While on the road I felt like it had been a long time since my navigation last said I should be turning, I looked down at it and noticed the whole screen was frozen. I tried to cancel and re-put in guidance but it would not allow me to, it just froze. I went to turn off my radio to call someone, but to my unhappy surprise the radio was frozen too and would not shut off or lower the volume. I pulled over, turned the car off, but the radio still remained on. I tried multiple times but no luck. I was forced to get out of my vehicle in the middle of the night, in a neighborhood I was not familiar with, in order to make a phone call (since I would not be able to over the radio that would not shut off) I had to walk around alone looking at street signs to help get directions from someone on the phone. Eventually later in the night the system re-set and the radio turned off, and the navigation appeared to be working. I called the dealership the next day to see what could be done. Charlie did not call me back until multiple messages were left. I spoke to the sales manager, Anthony, who did not care at all. He told me it is a service issue and to speak to them. Service was not accommodating. I finally got the car in to them, and they had not even marked down that I was coming and getting a loaner. After thy checked out the car, they did a reset, but actually admitted that they can't guarantee it won't happen again. They said Acura is aware of situation and working on a permanent solution. I explained to them that this is unsafe for me. No one there cares at all! They even had the audacity to suggest I use a navigation in my phone.. (well first of all, if that is such a great suggestion they should stop charging me the higher price for the technology package, and secondly if the radio won't shut off, how am I supposed to hear the phone navigation?!) They said if it happens again come back,.. well that's nice of them, if it happens again I first need to hope I am not in a dangerous area when I need directions. Than if nothing happens to me I can bring the car in to be temporarily fixed again.

Happy with the purchase of our 06 MDX. Super clean low miles drives like a dream. Peter Arso the pre owned salesman was great to deal with. We went through the car before purchase and found some issues that will be dealt with next week. The service dept. was ready sooner I needed more time to get the truck in. The woman in the finance dept. was also a pleasure to deal with, we went through my options and was able to choose what worked best for me. Overall a great experience

very bad salesmen working at Smithtown Acura

I don't recommend this place for purchasing car. Saleman 'Brian Gore' had very less patience and very rude to us. Not willing to talk to us for more information on what are we are trading and what are we interested. He said if we are ready to buy today I will speak with you otherwise It is a waste of time. it was all in 5 mins. we walked out.

I visited about 8 dealerships before landing on my Acura ILX. Not only does the quality of my vehicle do above justice, but it was primarily the feeling and environment I received when I entered the dealership that drove me to my decision. The team is super helpful, knowledgeable, and completely genuine about my vehicle and service needs. They react immediately and in an efficient amount of time. Having an incredible team at Smithtown Acura as your reliable go to is just the added bonus of having an awesome car that is an enjoyment to drive. You really cant help but be loyal!

I visited Smithtown Acura and spoke with Howard, a new car sales consultant, and mentioned that I was interested in the MDX. We drove the vehicle on a number of visits and he was very understanding that I would contact him when I was ready to purchase. He was a pleasure to deal with and the pricing was straight forward with no "surprises". I highly recommend the dealership as they respected my desire to research other vehicles and make the best decision without the usual phone calls and emails that many dealerships resort to.

RDX 2016 Smithtown Acura

We went into the Smithtown Acura dealership looking for a 2016 RDX. We met with Rick and he was able to answer our questions without being pushy or making us feel uncomfortable when we wanted to leave to look at all our car options. We research everything and take our time. With that being said we visited 6 dealerships (hyundai, toyota, honda, lexus, volvo, mazda) and we found the RDX the car we wanted and Rick the guy we wanted to work with. His is well informed, NOT pushy, and we feel as though we got a good price for the car. He and the people at Smithtown Acura then worked hard finding then getting the car we wanted with the color we wanted. - We happed to wanted the FWD, kona coffee, standard model- Hard to find! The car was located, the deal was made & we were able to get the car within a week! Amazing! Brian showed us how to operate the car, set the clock, bluetooth, settings ect.. before we took the car home. Dealing with Brian was like dealing with a friend! Thank you Rick, Anthony, Brian and the rest of the staff at Smithtown Acura for a great experince.

I shopped around for the Acura RDX and my sales person Charlie was very accommodating. I needed a car quickly. I went in Saturday AM put down my deposit and by 3:00 my car was ready. Charlie even picked me up at my house so I could pick up the car. I felt Charlie was very trusting and there was no bait and switch. I recommend this dealership.

I was searching for a while for the car I wanted with the packages I wanted for a long time. Smithtown Acura was the only dealer that had my car at the right price. Vanessa was my sales person and she made sure to keep in constant contact with me so my purchase was smooth. Usually I spend hours at a dealer purchasing a car. My transaction was complete in less than 2 hours. I was also pleased that my car was handed to me detailed and with a full tank of gas. Other dealers don't always do this.

Female Manager completely unprofessional

Got a new lease in November 2014, I had a coupon for lifetime free oil changes which was part of my lease deal- of course my first oil change they have no record of it. Manager came out to speak to me was [non-permissible content removed]. Told me Smithtown Acura has never offered such a deal for lifetime oil changes and pretty much called me a liar while talking down to me...and that she doesn't have to do anything for me. About 5 minutes later, she finds the coupon (that she said "we've never offered") and not even an apology. Surprised she is a manager with such horrnedous customer service skills.

Very Pleasant Experience

My wife and I were looking for an inexpensive car to replace one we had that was totalled. We found our 2005 CRV on their website and you could tell by the way it was presented that it was worth the 100 mile drive to see it. Vanessa was very helpful over the phone and we negotiated a price over the phone. When we arrived we found the car to be EXACTLY as represented. The quality of their prep was something I am not used to seeing in used cars sales and the car looked almost new. My wife and I are very pleased with our new car.
