UNFAIR trade practice

by Brian Welwood on 05/20/2021

Dont trust 'UNIVERSITY VOLKSWAGEN' I bought my brand new convertible turbo final edition Beetle. At time of financing the financing person mohamed convinced me to purchase the extended warranty and the gap insurance. The extended warranty alone was about a thousand dollars and the gap another four hundred. Well i traded in the car with only 59 actual miles on it. i was told by the other dealership to call university volkswagen and talk to mohamed who did the financing. To refund my extended warranty and gap this is how unfair business they run!! About 1,400.00 i got 300.00 dollars back they would not refund the extended warranty 😒 a thousand dollar warranty i lost!! He told me they don't refund the warranty!! Unfair business!! Be careful when you go to university volkswagen!! Brian Welwood Albuquerque nm

Amazing!

by james312 on 11/02/2015

I just recently purchased a new VolksWagen from Ken, it was the best buying experience I've ever had! He was very polite and answered all my questions with ease. The best part about buying my vehicle was that I didn't feel pressured into buying something I didn't want nor need, I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle.

Refused to honor Cosctco pricing

by Nodiscount on 07/02/2015

Refered to dealer by Costco Auto program. Spent two hours test driving several models and decided to buy. Sales manager refused to honor/discount for Costco Auto program. A real nightmare right here in Albuquerque. Go see them if you want to get just abused.

Excellent Experience!

by jmhf on 05/15/2013

Our recent purchase of a 2013 VW Beetle TDI 6MT went very smoothly at University Volkswagen; there were no high pressure sales tactics. Having done quite a lot of research prior to our visit, we were confident our questions were answered truthfully and knowledgeably.

Dealer demanded to get my Credit Report before negotiation

by happymonkey on 01/13/2011

I was at the VW looking to buy a used car with my family on 01-10-2011, and was waited by a sincere and helpful sales person Aaron. Everything went smooth until we made an offer, The “Sales Manager” demanded to run a credit report before negotiation, when I refused, he lectured that “President Obama made new law, which, from 01-01-2011, the dealers MUST obtain potential buyer’s CREDIT REPORT before negotiation or even talk about prices, and reason was…To protect consumer from getting prejudice by the dealer :-0” I felt a scam to take advantage of buyer, so I refused. He then came back with a price offer same as posted on the car window. We simply walked.
