Great customer service, great experience

by Nick on 04/18/2019

I had a great experience at George's. The entire staff was friendly and informative. They answered all of my questions. The managers introduced themselves and helped any way they could. I went there just looking, Test drove and Audi and I ended up loving it as much as my service. About an hour and a half later I was walking out the door with my new vehicle. To my surprise the very next day my sales person called me to ask if I had any questions (that has never happened to me before). Shopping and buying a car is suppose to be a hassle, but I couldn't be happier with my vehicle and my service. Thanks again guys!

Excellent Experience!

by Troy on 04/18/2019

Absolutely outstanding dealership and sales team. I was looking for a truck for over 6 months- with no help from any other dealers. The manager, Nick, helped me and my sales person Brian the entire time. If Brian couldn’t answer a question Nick was right there ready to help me out. It was the first dealership I have ever went to which offered to save me money on a similar truck than the one I had inquired about. That doesn’t happen at most businesses. Not only do I love my truck, the whole process took just over an hour. The atmosphere was completely different than most dealerships. Great service and even better people. I will highly recommend Nick and his team at George’s.

I Lose

by majarmy01 on 08/18/2017

I purchased a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox LT from Georges Used Cars, Brownstown, MI. When I initially went into Georges, I really thought it was a first class operation from the way I was treated. The first car I thought I was going to purchase was a 2015 Jeep. I thought I was told it had 5600 miles on it. When I took it out on a test drive, I found it had 56,000 miles. The question in my mind was, why would I trade in my 2011 Ford Edge, with c.a. 58,000 miles for a car that had been driven within 2000 miles of my 2011. I was told that it still had warranty on it. Then they pointed me to the 2015 Chevy Equinox. The salesman told me it was a step up from the 2011 Edge. I test drove it and it seemed ok. After driving the Chevy one day, I found my foot slipping off the break pad to the accelerator intermittently. This had never happened to me in over 50 years of driving numerous brands of vehicles. I returned to Georges and they said to take it into Taylor Chevrolet as they inform their service manager I was coming in. By this time, I had other concerns about the car, which were: when I started out from a stop and pressed on the gas, the engine would race up the RPMs as it was going from 0-25 or 30, or 45. On the freeway, when traffic required me to slow down 10-15 MPH, when gas was pressed to regain 70 MPH, the engine would race and RPMs would increase 5-10K and the car hesitate a moment before accelerating. The radio, when I was on 1400 AM, would lose signal during normal driving conditions. I was told by the Georges Salesman, that I’d get better gas mileage because the Chevy was smaller than the Edge. He did NOT mention anything about the smaller engine. I checked in with Georges on 17 August and told them I’d be going to Genthe Chevrolet. I’d been in constant contact with Georges this whole time about my concerns and they copied the paper I’d written them down on for their records. When I got to Genthe, the service tech immediately knew why (except for why my foot kept slipping off the brake pedal) I was having the problems. He told me point blank that the Equinox was a step DOWN from the Edge and the engine was smaller. None of this was explained to me at Georges. They told me the exact opposite about the Equinox being a step UP from the EDGE. One of the salesmen, at Georges, who had a cross tattooed on his hand, told me I’d test driven the Equinox and should have discovered these things. The problem was, that none of these things showed up when I was driving around the area. Also, the big fact is that Georges KNEW that the engine was smaller in the Equinox and didn’t disclose this to me and I shouldn’t have had to be running around to Chevy Dealers. Georges response was that there was a disclosure sheet on the car about the engine, so I lose.
