1963 Valiant - Mechanical Restore

I purchased the 1963 Valiant - AKA "Mary-Ellen" that had been sitting for 2+ years on Long Island. Tina my Service Rep and Kirby took in Mary-Ellen into the cars personal service (Plymouth - ICU) bay and over the course of two weeks restored the mechanics by doing the following... Oil Change, Complete Hydraulic Braking System which included new lines, wheel cylinders, master cylinder and all hardware. The fuel tank was replaced and the fuel pump and filter. All rubber tubing on top of the engine to include the heater was replaced. The distributer, coil, timing chain, ignition wires and crankshaft seal were replaced. The valve cover gasket and the valve lash adjusted. All new tires were mounted after the rims were cleaned and then balanced. A tie rod was replaced and the front end aligned. All lights and the horn was not working and Kirby brought that back to working order by replacing wiring, bulbs, the headlight switch and the horn relay. The battery was replaced and both of the cables. The water pump was replaced. The transmission flushed and bands adjusted. The differential drained and new fluid added. New wheel bearings were installed with seals. The thermostat was changed and finally a new wiper blade. Kirby went well beyond and also worked on the drivers door. It's difficult to find a good an honest service but these guys can be trusted and are well worth the money.
