Service Contract scam

I scheduled a final service appointment before my lease ends on my Acura TLX. My lease is ending and I am purchasing the car when it ends. Rosenthal tells me my service contract is no longer valid as it expired 3 months prior to my lease ending and the funds I had in the account are not available to me. No one can say where the remining funds go.....I suggest you consider another dealership for your car and service. Can't trust them.

Best Quality Service I have Ever Received

We have owned five Acuras and Rosenthal Acura has serviced them since 1991. The service reps are knowledgeable, do what they promise, and great with follow through. Our newest is being taken care of by Adam Kerner in Service who is superb. The mechanics are highly trained and we have hardly needed to go back for re-dos. Peace of mind regarding our cars' safety and ease of doing business with Rosenthal Acura Service Representatives will keep us going back for more Acuras.

Service wasn't what they promised on the phone.

Based on the previous reviews my experience is not typical, however they did not deliver what they promised and I am upset. We have two Acuras and I am not looking forward to returning to Rosenthal to have more work done. I have a 2014 RDX and scheduled an appointment to have roof rails installed. I called the morning of my appointment to confirm that there would be a loaner car. The service department confirmed that there were still 3 loaners, but even if they weren't available Rosenthal has an agreement with Enterprise to secure a rental car. When I dropped the car off I was told they were out of loaner cars. No one in the service department could explain why they had confirmed the loaner car two hours previous to my scheduled appointment. I do not mind waiting for service, but I was not told that I would have to wait. The service manager apologized, but the woman who gave me misinformation shrugged her shoulders and went back to work. Not sure why I would want to have anything else done here and as I write this I am concerned about the quality of their work.

I love my service advisor

After I purchased my Acura (used) and tried other service centers I decided to journey to Gaithersburg and try Rosenthal. Most people would wonder why I bother to travel from NW washington this far for service well two reasons: 1) Tina Ellis and 2) Superior service team. Tina takes quality time to offer best advice and ensures everything requested or required is explained clearly. If a requested service is not required she would truthfully advise that. The team leaves my car in great appearance and the waiting area is like non other. If you need a loaner, no sweat you will be in and out in no time. I love my RL but if trade up is ever needed, the service department and Tina Ellis helped to ensure that would be another Acura. Thank you Team Rosenthal for making my auto experience a great one.

Never knew service could be a wonderful experience

Rothenthal Acura and my service person provides me dream service. She takes time to explain every details of work to be perform, advising when things are necessary or can wait, ensuring my car receives TLC. My 2006 RL was purchased used and I wanted to make sure that it has a healthy driving life. My assigned service person (T.E.) does such a superior job of ensuring this. She is so courteous. If I have to trade up for a new RL you can be assured ONLY Rothenthal and T.E. will service it.

I would not trust my car to any other service advisor. Tina E. is professional and very trustworthy. I know exactly what is happening with my car at all stages of service. Her team is exceptional. I would highly recommend Tina E., and this dealership, for service!

Sloppy and incomplete services

I've always taken my 04 TL here for service. My last service here was for an A1 which called for oil change, top off fluids, rotate tires, visual inspections, car wash...When I got my car back, the car was not washed even though they stated as washed in the receipt. The service reminder light was still on. They didn't reset it. It was snowing that weekend and I ran out of windshield washer fluid, so they did not put in any fluid. I assume they didn't put in any other fluid either. I have no idea if they actually rotate the tires or not. I gave them the car at 9:30 am and was told it would take 2 hours. I had to call them at 5:30pm to ask for status update. They finally call me back at 6:30pm to pick up the car. I'm taking my car to a different place next time.

Outrageously Priced Service

In March 2008, I took my 1999 Acura 3.5RL in for some minor servicing. I needed (1) a new trunk latch because my trunk wouldn't close; (2) a new day-to-night rear view mirror; and (3) a new gas cap because a leaky seal was causing the engine light to come con. Total cost - $1,253.82. When I asked the service agent to whom I could write to express my dissatisfication with these prices, I was referred to Benjamin Calvitti (Fixed Operations Director, Rosenthal Acura). I thereafter wrote to Mr. Calvitti, attaching a copy of my invoice and otherwise fully apprising him of the situation, I never received a response. I used to be a loyal Rosenthal Acura customer, and was even contemplating the purchase of a new Acura later this year, but my experience with this dealership has soured, and I will look elsewhere.

Service Issues

Event though the staff are friendly, the quality control is poor. Brought the car in for a seat mounting plate replacement under warranty. Came to pick up the and the SRS light was on. After 2 more days in the shop, this SRS light was reset. Came to pick up the car again and discovered significant dent in a front fender. left a car for 5 more days to have that fixed since "the guy" who does the repair did not show up in time. Finally picked up the car to discover that in the process of fixing the dent, they forgot to properly attach the front bumper. Back to the dealership - turned out that the clips on the bumper were broken during the first repair. Simple question - did not the dealership notice that the clips were broken and the bumper was moving all over the place? Or they simply thought that the dumb customer would not notice? Be aware of the quality of the repairs...

Acura service

My acura TL was due for an oil change and 20k service. I took the car to Rosenthal Acura and they did the whole service in one day. They went out of there way to make sure that the car was in good shape cleaned and serviced. they take pride in there cars and facility. My serviceguy gave me a tour of the bay area and let me see for myself how things were done. I was pleased with the whole process and comforted to see that my car was in good hands.

Very professional and better than average service! I brought my acura legend in for repairs and was very impressed with the service I'd received from rosenthal acura. They explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions in language that I can understand.

Straight up service advice here

I felt that my wife was taken advantage of when she took our minivan in for a regular oil change. The service folks at the local station said that the front brakes needed to be replaced and that it was a 'hazard' if she did not have it done. However, it is a 2006 acura with only a little over 30,000 miles. I don't think front pads and turning the rotors are needed at only 30,000 miles, and when I questioned the service manager, all I got was the run around. I was very upset and confused then my co-worker said to take it to Rosenthal Acura to get a second opinion, whichh he always takes his acura truck there. So true to his word the service advisor told me the car was in great condition and only needed the regular oil change. In conclusion I was saved HUNDREDS by Rosenthal Acura service department.
