Owner Is Unprofessional

We purchased the vehicle from the dealership the evening of January 23. On January 29, while my 17 year old daughter was driving to work, the car seized and lost all power to her car not allowing her to steer and the car died. I do not feel as though this dealer intentionally sold us the car with a bad alternator; we have no way of knowing if it was bad prior or if the cold weather caused it. However, dealing with the owner to try to compromise given the car was in our possession a week was a very upsetting experience. They did offer to replace the part at cost (which was still several hundred dollars) with their mechanic and refurbished part. I would also have to purchase a warranty with them. They refused to offer any compensation for us to just have the car repaired at the Ford dealership the car was towed. Andy, the owner, was very rude and completely unprofessional. I was taken back as to how he was speaking to me. When I asked him to please speak nicer to me, he made an excuse that my husband was rude to him earlier. He apparently felt it was OK to speak to me in such a way. At no point was I rude and on many occasions, I had to ask him to speak nicer to me. This is not a business where I would recommend purchasing a car from because if there is an issue post-sales, he will not treat you like a valued customer.
