I recently purchased a Volvo C30 from this dealership and was really floored at how easy it was. I *hate* buying cars and I was absolutely dreading the inevitable dickering that was going to result from trying to buy the only C30 in the state of Idaho. I even started early by going in on a day when I only had a few hours to spare, so I could begin the price wrangling and continue into the week as necessary. I worked with Mark, who immediately showed me the car and let me test drive it by myself for as long as I liked. I liked driving it without the salesman in the back pointing out all of the features... it was a nice sign of trust. When I got back, he discussed a few more features about the car (he had looked up the warranty and CarFax while I was gone). Another great perk of this dealership- the post the CarFax report of every used car right on their website. Increases integrity, in my opinion. And since it was a certified used car, they gave me another 2 years of full bumper to bumper warranty. Very nice! Mark let me make all of the first moves regarding haggling. He let us talk about the car's options and perks, and never led us back into his office to "talk numbers" or any of the standard salesman BS. I finally had to ask him to take a look at my Jeep Wrangler I was trading in, and he led us back to his office and looked up the Jeep right there on Kelly Blue Book right in front of me, asking me what options it had etc. When we looked up the Jeep together, he landed at the same number that I knew I had seen, which was refreshing. I already knew that the used Volvo was set at a ridiculously low price (I think they were having trouble moving it off the lot since it had a standard transmission.) So the price of the Volvo was set, and he offered within $500 of the price I wanted of the Jeep trade. 15 minutes later, they came back $500 higher and I was signing paperwork. I was astonished. No jerking around, no obvious lowballing my trade, no hassles and a very fair price on the Volvo. I searched nationwide for the same model, year and mileage and no one had it priced lower. Mark was really friendly, the dealership was clean and inviting, and the sales technique was open, honest and amazingly friendly. I finally walked out of a dealership feeling like I got a good deal, they knew I was a smart shopper, and they weren't jerking me around. They were very easy to deal with and I think I got a fabulous deal on the Volvo. I would definitely recommend this dealership to others searching for a good used car.
