On Oahu, dealers do not have to haggle on Tacomas. At all. They sell themselves, right off the boat. But Servco was pretty cooperative, and while maybe not selling right at invoice, they very quickly agreed to take $1k off MSRP. No pressure for anything else, no lingering in F&I office hell. Honestly, I put off this purchase out of dread of "the process" but wish I had just done it weeks sooner. The salesman, John K., was extremely knowledgeable about his products, something you see less and less these days. He never looked up anything without me looking at the screen, and ran each and every part of the transaction and paperwork past me. Full disclosure, much appreciated. My only gripe would be that the total transaction took about 3.5 hours. Having fully negotiated the night before and having their written offer and my financing in hand, it should have been a little quicker.
