Not so helpful service advisor

I had an appointment and called prior to arrival at dealership and confirmed my oil change warranty still valid. At the end of service during payment the advisor tried to charge me oil change and pretended he did not know it. After I questioned the charges, he retracted and blamed me for not telling him in advance my warranty. I have taken this car for oil change at this dealership so many times and not even once they try to charge me oil change because they know the status of my car warranty based on info they have.

As a female driver

On Saturday, December 9, 2023, I took my vehice to Toyota Autonation Buena Park for a service appointment due to the dashboard stating " maintenance needed contact dealer". I get there and was helped by Eric Martinez who stated "You need an EFI in order to prevent rust" which after he was done explaining to me I still didn't understand what an EFI was but I agreed to because his words were "You need an EFI". I agreed and asked about the oil change on my vehicle. His response "You do not need one until 10k which it was odd to me but his the expert. To make a long short beware of added services an alignment was done without my consent and I was not informed about it until I paid and before he gave me my receipt. Also, Eric added a fragance free service leaving my car smelling like raid. Prior to agreeing to the EFI, I asked Eric how long was the service going to take? His response was "about three hours because the techinician needs to drain the fluids". I was surprise it was going to take that long but I was already and I so regret telling him "no" because I had my children with me and after 3.5 hours because I still had to wait another 20 min to get my paperwork I was ready to go. That's the reason when he mentioned the alignment before giving me the receipt I had no response to him because I was so disgusted with his scam and he clearly took advantage of me as a female. I drove about 45min from Los Angeles thinking if I go outside my area I will not be taken advantage but I was completely wrong.

VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING

DISCLAIMER - I AM NOT DOING THIS TO WIN $100 OR FREE GAS. PLEASE KEEP IT TO YOURSELF. I went to Toyota - Buena Park for just Synthetic Oil change for my Toyota Prius. They did Multi Point Inspection and said that Front and Rear Brake pads are worn out and need replacement (which means they opened the tire area). They did Oil change and everything was good until next day.... I was driving and TPMS light Engine came up. I checked TIRE pressure and it was 47. Right one is 35. I lowered it down. I went back to Toyota and they said it is NOT their fault and he sent his mechanic to test drive the car whether is was shaking or not. Mechanic tried to reset the TPMS light as well as filled the Air pressure too. When I came back they said everything looks good expect the TPMS light on. I told them to do Diagnostic and check which Tire has the faulty TPMS- SERVICE AGENT VERY CLEVERLY REFUSED TO DO IT AND BLAMED IT ON WALMART. He said that Walmart Buena Park who replaced all 4 tires more than 2 months back might have done something wrong that's why the TPMS Light came up. I told him that was 2 months back, why didn't it come up then. He simply didn't had an answer and even didn't agree to do Diagnostic check. Instead said - There is a difference between Factory Technician and Local Technician. What I believe is that the Toyota Mechanic broke or did something wrong with the TMPS SENSOR when he opened up the tires and that's the reason why TPMS light came up. I am NOT ANGRY but SAD that a reputed dealer can do such a cheap work. IT IS VERY DISAPPOINTING THAT TOYOTA BUENA PARK COULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS. IT'D LITERALLY A SHAME...

Horrible service

Do not recommend getting your services done here. Fabian is the service manager with “8 years of experience” is very unprofessional. Very rude and unprofessional when it comes to handling issues about my car. He gave BS excuses on why my brakes are making noise instead of actually looking into the problem. He won’t consider your opinion if you’re not a “certified technician”. I’ve had my car for about a month and have had multiple parts replaced already and the main issue is that brakes making noise all the time. They have not fixed or looked into them since Fabian claims he doesn’t hear anything. Sang was the service advisor I was assigned to and he is the worst. He will never call me to update me on the status of my car when I bring it in. I have to constantly check in myself. Also trying to get the general managers name is like pulling teeth with everyone here. Even their online service operators won’t help.

Worst dealer ever

I went for a oil change with free coupon. Even though I had an appointment, they took three hours to start the service. In the end, they said oil panel is damaged and need to replace. I came there again next week. They gave a quote of $970. I knew something is fishy, so I showed it to another guy who does my oil change. He said the oil panel is completely fine. So I have never seen a cheater like Autonation toyota buena park. Please avoid it if possible. Thats my advice to everyone.

Can't even do a simple oil change

Came in for oil change, technician didn't tighten drain bolt so oil spilled everywhere I was and manager Fabian broke promise to correct this issue promising to send a clean up crew for all the oil on my driveway. No one ever came. Will NOT be using this location again.

I’ve had other experiences from other dealerships and it was very frustrating, but here they really took care of me.
