Don't waste your time.

by Andrew on 08/25/2021

Don't waste your time. Google is full of fake reviews to give this dealership a better rating but this one isn't fake. I found a car here that I wanted to purchase and was turned away. I live a few hours away so all of the communication I had with the dealer was through phone, text and email. On Saturday I contacted the dealer and asked the sales person Whitney Evans all the details on the car. I told her I was interested in coming down that day to purchase and she said someone else was looking at it and she would keep me updated on if it sells. On Monday she calls me and says the car is still available. I told her to let me call my bank and get a check ready to purchase it in the morning. She then tells me she cannot hold any vehicles and she can't control if someone else buys it before I do, even though she wouldn't let me purchase the car Saturday because someone was "looking at it". I then called my bank and went through the whole loan process and waiting to be approved. A few minutes go by and my bank calls me to say they have a check ready for me. As soon as I hang up the phone I got a text from Whitney saying the car sold. It was as if they didn't want to do business with me because I used my own bank. If the dealership could hold the car on Saturday because someone was "looking at it" why could they not have held it for me. I had my credit ran and and money in hand to buy it the next morning. I will never do business here and never recommend it to anyone.

A Forever Customer

by temp_edmunds1489415027697 on 03/13/2017

Car shopping has NEVER been a fun and exciting experience for me. I have high anxiety levels and extreme buyers remorse. I came into McLarty feeling defeated and expecting the worse. My husband and I were introduced to Miss Heidi Duncomb and within 5 minutes I told my husband that I wanted to pack her up in my back pocket and take her to the next dealership if the sale didn't work out. Well, we didn't have to go anywhere else. Heidi told us upfront what would happen and we were just as honest and upfront with her. We had Heidi running a 5k around that dealership finding cars and keys, running numbers, going to bat for us, and I wouldn't have wanted to work with anyone else. She was more than willing to do whatever it took to make this experience easy for me and get me exactly what I wanted. She is an extremely knowledgeable employee and made the experience pretty fun (if you can say that about buying a car). She was absolutely a joy to work with and I won't go anywhere else. I came home Friday in my first EVER brand new vehicle and told everyone, who asked, about her in particular. A very dear friend of mine plans to purchase an accord within the next 3 months and is dreading the deal as well. After I told her about Heidi, she has just about made her mind up to travel to Little Rock sometime in the next 2 weeks to work with her personally. To Heidi-thank you for EVERYTHING you did for us and we'll always recommend you to anyone looking for a vehicle. You are a true blessing to that dealership!

Unsatisfied

by AngelaBridges on 11/05/2016

I went to test drive a vehicle and told them I wanted it. I went through a personal company for financing. They told me on three different occasions it was being held. Never asked me to put down money. Due to work schedule it would be the weekend before I could get back considering we lived 5 hours away. I called the day before to let them know I was coming and they said ok it will be here ready. I called again that morning telling me the GM manager Tim Hall was selling now. After several different conversations with sales dealer and manager of sales we were ensured it was there. They would have it cleaned and ready when we got there. I called when I was 10 minutes away and was informed the GM manager had sold it already. I had gotten 4 kids up early on a Saturday morning and drive 5 hours to be treated like garbage. I spoke with GM manager on the phone and he said he would find me another one. No I don't think so. I will never do business with this company again and highly recommend no one else does.

To be Treated like Family go to McLarty Honda

by alexagrace23 on 09/27/2016

Buying a new vehicle can be tough. To some car dealerships we are all just a number but to McLarty Honda we are treated as family. James Forrester welcomed us with open arms. He was personable, professional, and polite. He knew that we were looking for a bigger vehicle for our growing family. James was persistent with helping us not only get a bigger vehicle but a BRAND NEW vehicle. The dealership lowered the price of the vehicle so we could afford it. Honda actually lost money on our deal but it didn't matter to them because we were treated as family. If you would like to get a reliable car but also be treated as a hardworking individual instead of a number go to McLarty Honda. Go and see James Forrester to find your next dream car. You will come out smelling like a rose. P.S. To get the best treatment call James [contact info removed] to schedule an appointment or ask any questions. Feel free to mention this review and I am sure he go out of his way to make it possible for you to buy your dream car.

Financing/Warranty SCAM!

by MrsStigall on 08/03/2016

5/14 I purchased my 2015 Kia Sportage. We negotiated a $50 credit on the price since the driver side floor mat was missing. My sales rep, Heidi, asked which bank I preferred and I selected my current US Bank. At closing the finance person, Kevin ordered my credit and explained that BOA gave me a better offer than mine so I accepted. He also offered me a warranty & went over the details explaining that the warranty covered the full term of the 6 year loan and 100k miles over the current millage of approx. 42k miles. The paperwork that Kevin printed didn't reflect the above info so he white it out and wrote it in for me to sign. On 5/16 I text Heidi and questioned the warranty mileage coverage, she checked with Kevin and advised that it covered 100k over current mileage. 5/27 I received my paperwork in the mail, it didn't match what I signed and was told by Heidi and Kevin. I was also curious about the interest rate that was offered by my bank because I previously got a pre-approval with a lower interest rate than what I got thru BOA on this loan. When I spoke to Kevin he confessed that the $50 credit wasn't applied and the interest rate offered by US Bank was lower but he selected BOA because it was the first offer he received. Also, he would look into the warranty because what was on the paperwork was incorrect. I called and spoke to a sales manager and explained to him the situation. He offered to tint my car windows as restitution for the missing credit and higher interest rate but I would still need to talk to Kevin about the warranty. Over the next couple of weeks I called the dealership without any returned calls and I never heard from Kevin so I called the warranty company and they informed me that they never received my warranty, the only thing they had was a quote. I asked for the terms of the quote. They advised me that it will cover 6 years and up to 100k miles. I then explained to them it should be 100k miles over the current mileage on the vehicle. The rep put me on hold to talk to the under writer, then informed me that they don't write warranties for 100k over current millage but I had the option to void the warranty within 30 days of purchase. So I called the dealership again and spoke to another sale manager, Mo. He got Kevin on the phone and Kevin said that the warranty should be what he sold me but he hasn't heard from his reps yet. He confirmed I had the option to cancel the warranty. I went into the dealership to sign the cancellation paperwork and Kevin and another finance guy assured me that the warranty was for 100k over current mileage. I signed the paperwork to void the warranty and told them that's not what the warranty company told me. Kevin said that he would hold my paperwork and talk to his reps and call me back. When he submits the paperwork I would get a credit on my loan for the amount of the warranty. I never got a return phone call so I text Kevin 6/13 to see if he found anything else out about the warranty. If not, he needed to make sure he turned in my paperwork to void the warranty. 6/14 I text Kevin to confirm he turned in the paperwork to void the warranty and he said he would do it that day. 7/8 I called the dealership because I still didn't show a credit on my loan for the warranty. I spoke to a person in finance, Zach, I explained the whole above situation to him and he assured me he would have it fixed. I never heard back from him so I called back 7/13 and spoke to the finance manager, Reed, he said the void request was never turned in and he would work on it. Reed called back on 7/22 and said he will have the warranty voided. I called 7/27 and text Zach and Kevin on 7/28 to have Reed call me regarding the interest I have been paying on the warranty. I haven't received any response so I submitted a BBB complaint.

Richard Cole is a great salesman to buy from

by haleylane75 on 12/17/2011

I bought my 2012 Civic LX from Richard Cole at Bale. He was a great carsalesman. He was informative, friendly, and never pushy. He wasn't shady and never tried to pull anything shady with the "numbers" in the whole process. He gave me a great deal and it was the easiest car buying expierence I have ever had. I'll def go back to Bale and ask for Richard Cole when my husband needs a new car.
