I had an excellent vehicle purchasing experience with Gilbert & Baugh in Albertville. They had a very low mileage F150 advertised on the internet and when I called about it someone had already placed a deposit on it. Then a few days later, the Sales Rep., David Guffey, texted me and asked if I was still interested as the prospective buyer had backed out. This was on a Saturday morning and by that afternoon we had made the trade and I was driving home in a "new to me" F-150. The Finance Manager, Jim Wyckoff, was a pleasure to deal with and made the process as painless as possible.

let me start off by saying my sales rep was top notch! very helpful , sent me detailed photos and videos that pushed me to make the 4 hour drive to the dealership. Great job Drew! The problems I had stemmed from the paperwork side , the dealership did not make it easy on me with this being an out of state process. Two weeks after purchase I figured out that no paperwork has been sent to my tag office for me to register the vehicle! no paperwork has been sent to me on the vehicle period. The troubles I have experienced could be due to the out of state purchase but it is still frustrating to say the least.

I located this truck after extensive searching multiple online resources. Immediately sent in my information to Gilbert and Baugh over the weekend. The first business day following I was contacted via text message by David Guffey. David was extremely helpful in providing me with information about the truck as well as updates pertaining to its availability for inspection. As soon as he had a concrete date of availability he let me know and prepared it for inspection. The dealership was a long drive for us and we arrived after 4:00 pm. David was outside on the lot awaiting our arrival. I’ve never purchased from a dealer before so I was skeptical about the experience. Having experience in international commercial vehicle sales I wasn’t excited about having to deal with a salesman, or a dealership, especially in the current market. I was immediately warmed up to the experience when I met David. He introduced himself and hung around for a few minutes to make sure I didn’t need anything. Fielded my questions and promptly went to get more information while I was looking over the vehicle. The vehicle itself looked like it came off the showroom floor despite having 58,000 miles and two previous owners. This is a testament to the process and systems this dealership has in place to ensure total cleanliness inside and out as well as functionality of the components. I tried my best to find any evidence of dried mud or signs the truck had been used extensively off-road. After spending 10 minutes crawling under the truck and wiping a rag in various hidden places the only thing I discovered was common for any vehicle that had been driven on a roadway. If the truck had ever been off the pavement, they made sure to be diligent in removing impurities from the undercarriage to ensure the vehicle would be clean and free of build up that could cause dry seals, boots etc. The vehicle was fairly priced, and despite this their team was willing to further discount to allow for an agreeable price for everyone involved. I can’t say enough about how pleasing my interactions with David were. He was kind, helpful and above all honest. There was not one second during our time together in which I felt the need to resort to any “tactics” for negotiation. He was accommodating and I never once felt rushed, or pushed into making a decision despite the fact that they closed at 6:00pm. We agreed on pricing at 5:50 pm. We were the only customers remaining on the lot and in as much the staff remained there gladly. Lee Culpepper swiftly prepared the documents of the transaction while the owner Randy kept us entertained with genuine conversation. We were offered water and a place to sit in Lees office while the documents were finished. After the transaction was complete David filled the truck full of diesel and handed us the keys. Upon leaving we found out this dealership was rated the #1 Ford dealer in America. It’s clear why that it the case. This is an organization who cares about their customers, and their employees. It was easy to see the culture of integrity and customer service through the entire deal. I am proud to have met each of the men involved and thankful that God led us to this dealership for a vehicle for our business. My first call in the future will be to Gilbert and Baugh Ford when the time comes to get another set of wheels. I would HIGHLY recommend contacting them for any and all needs related to purchasing and servicing Ford vehicles. The only thing that did not meet my expectations was I found out after returning home the truck did not have a manual. I contacted David and they had one in the mail to us the same day. I am proud to say I was able to “come see the difference” at Gilbert and Baugh Ford.

I have waited a couple of weeks after purchasing my F250 from David to see how everything went after the sale. David came and picked up my truck and took it and had an agreed upon bed cover installed and brought the truck back and all I had to do was leave the keys for him. Service after the sell is more important to me than service at the time of the sell. Gilbert and Baugh went above and beyond and as always I am happy with them.

First time purchaser at this dealership, but must tell everyone it was the BEST experience myself and wife had purchasing a car. Sales associate greeted us and only talked about satisfying our needs. Then from nowhere Mr. Baugh sat down with us, asked about what hobbies we enjoyed, then he spoke about his like growing up on a farm, collecting various cars, and how he got into selling cars and his dealership. I will say this, they made me know this purchase was about me and not them. The process went quickly. We love our Miata. So I truly recommend Gilbert and Baugh Ford dealership if your in the market. Oh yeah, their baked cookies melt in your mouth.

My wife and I recently purchased a 2015 Ford Explorer and our experience at Gilbert and Baugh Ford in Albertville was outstanding. My wife and I had a specific used vehicle in mind and searched for two weeks from Florence to Birmingham. We went to several dealerships and met numerous sales people but none could compare to Mr. Baugh and his team. Our salesman, Cody, was super nice and was willing to help us any way he could. Mr. Baugh and his team were never pushy or made us feel like we had to buy something from them. They showed us that they would love to have our business and made us feel like they were working for us. We never felt rushed to make a decision and we never felt uncomfortable with the deal. The vehicle we were interested in was very accurately described on their website and had numerous pictures. Mr. Culpepper in the finance department made it his mission to get us the best interest rate possible. He laid out the facts of the loan and explained all charges regarding our loan. There were no hidden fees or other questionable charges and we were encouraged to ask questions. From the minute you walk into Gilbert and Baugh Ford you feel welcome and are treated like family.
