Waste of time

Pretty terrible experience this morning. Drove over from Central Oregon to buy a car. Had set up an appointment less than 48 hours before traveling. I arrive and a salesman looks at me confused and then a few minutes later tells me they sold the car the night before. The manager tells me they don't have a system in place to inform people when this situation happens. We try to make a deal on a newer model but they arent willing to come down more than a few percent. They did offer to pay for my gas which was nice but ultimately I wasted a whole day after multiple phone calls and emails with an appointment set up. I understand a business will not turn away a potential buyer but it would have been nice if they would've called before I drove seven hours round-trip. Would certainly not recommend.

I got conned, but the service is excellent

I bought a certified used Toyota from Capitol in 2008. I purchased an extended service contract with it: Free Tires For Life! Found out today that what I actually purchased was Free Oil Changes For Life. EVERY customer that year got Free Tires For Life for FREE. I thought I had talked the manager down and he had thrown in free oil changes to sweeten the deal. They got me! Should have read the paperwork better. Since then the service has been excellent and the people there are really nice. PLEASE think twice about buying any sort of extended warranty from these people, though... they may play dirty.

The perfect transaction!!!

Got the car that was advertised, the price was awesome and the salesman, We traveled 250 miles from the coast to get the car at the price we wanted and Mike Brown was amazing. Mike, if you ever get down our way look us up for a barbecue!! Thanks to everyone there that helped us. Brett and Melissa

Always a pleasure

I have always had such good experiences with Capitol Toyota. I've bought several cars from them over the years and have never been treated with anything less than respect, as a single and a married woman. I've been to other dealerships with my husband to purchase vehicles and have had eye opening experiences to how well Capitol does business. I love that I see more and more women on their sales team when I go in for service. The service department has always been so efficient. I've always felt they've been honest with me. Never pushed me in to doing repairs that were unnecessary. I guess in the end I can't say enough kind things about Capitol Toyota as a whole. Great compan!

Just bought my second vehicle from Capitol Toyota. Andy was great just like last time. Found exactly what I wanted, offered me a great deal without any haggling. Love my car and I will return!

Outrageous

Purchasing a vehicle at any dealership is stressful, but Capitol Toyota tipped the scales towards insanity! Trading in a vehicle they sold me, telling them exactly what I wanted and could do was ignored. They came back to me with the following: $8000.00 cash down, 72 months at 8.99% interest at $498.00 a month for a $25,000 dollar car with a trade in of their own vehicle. I get bargaining and was prepared for the first offer but this was like saying - you're female, you're stupid and we are going to defile you. I am painting my car with what they did so that the middle class spectrum spends their money at businesses that listen.

Great Dealership Run by Great People!

Having worked in the automotive industry and been to and worked with numerous Dealerships I have come to appreciate the customer support, honesty, and service provided by Capitol Toyota. The Entire sales process was smooth, fair, and their prices were extremely competitive if not the best!. Highly Recommended!

Overpriced and unscrupulous

I was suspicious about dealings with sales at this dealer, so I got another offer on exactly the same vehicle at another dealer. The first offer from the second dealer was more than $2000 less only one day later without any incentives. Sadly enough, I believed the sales manager when he told me he just had to get my social security # before he could make an offer. He told me he would not affect my credit history as it would not be a regular inquiry on credit. He lied. it knocked my credit by having another inquiry and my loan was affected. Further comments during the negotiations lead me to believe this dealer is only interested in his sales record, not my needs.
