Over delivered, under promised

My car had unexpected problems that made it undrivable. I had it towed to Ron Tonkin Acura in Beaverton and they quickly diagnosed the problem and had it fixed within 24 hours. My service rep communicated with me throughout the process and was very efficient.

Unable to fix my broken Acura

Service department is lacking. They told me to go to corporate to solve the problem with my car rather than advocate on my behalf. Corporate told me to go them. Meanwhile I have a Acura that is broken for years.

Horrible service, unprofessional general manager, worst service department

They don’t back their product despite Acura saying the fix is “X”, they refused to do the fix despite needing to do the fix as my only car. I was given a rental and after giving authorization to move forward on repairs, they demanded the loaner back saying they don’t feel comfortable fixing my car with me refusing to return the rental. I never refused, I said I approved repairs, I still need a car. The GM then called the police in which the office saw my text to and from Tonkin therefor providing they lied to police. This is now moving up to the state attorney general and my attorney. I’ll never buy an Acura ever again and will NEVER do business with them again. I’m even pulling their parts warehouse as a vendor from my shop. This is the WORST experience I’ve ever had let alone even heard of. I’d heard things about the Tonkin name working in the industry but this location and their unprofessional management team should be avoided at ALL costs. I will be copying and pasting this review in every online forum possible.

3:15 2023 brake fluid exchange and abs flush

Appointment set for 7:30 in the morning waiting for the vehicle told me hour and a half It was ready in an hour .accommodated me by changing the channel from a sports to the Weather Channel give me a coupon for a free car wash,confirmed all my fluids are good no other servicing needs to be done and had some snacks and coffee / hot chocolate available in the waiting room. Checked my spark plugs car is 15 years old but the plugs are clean and the gap is good won't need that for it till 105,000 miles checked the front struts some deterioration on the front gasket nothing to be concerned about as it's 15 years old and that has no impact on the strut/ shocks Applied at 10% discount which made the servicing cost much more palatable.

Always efficient

When I arrive, the staff are ready and courteous. They clearly show what work is planned and what analyses will be done. During my visit, if there are extraordinary needs, the service analyst comes to discuss it with me. There is never pressure to get the service. My car has 180,000 miles on it and they have done all the work through the car’s life.

Ron Tonkin Service problems

After 14 years of being a customer of Ron Tonkin Acura the service dept has lost my continued business. Was challenged by the service advisor today on a regular scheduled maintenance item. Very poor business practice!

I scheduled routine maintenance for 9:15. They got started within three minutes of arrival and told me it would take about 45 minutes. Work was done and I was driving off the lot at 10:00.
Overpriced and under-serviced

I recently took my 2022 Acura MDX A-Spec in for an A1 service to the Ron Tonkin dealership in Beaverton. The basic oil change cost me $105 dollars which turns out to be $20 more than Dick Hannah for the same service. They didn't even wash or vacuum my car or give me a gift card for a car wash like they used to. Additionally, I had some issues with the car and they couldn't resolve the issue during the appointment so they asked me to return with the car next week.
