Ryan was great!

I had been in a car accident, and needed a vehicle now! Ryan Putthoff worked with us until he found a vehicle for me! He was always polite, kind, and calm. It took a while for me to pick one, but he kept bringing them until he found just the right one, a Chevy Trax! I would recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a car. The whole process went smoothly. They were not pushy, or tried to sell me things I did not need, like other dealerships. My car is fully warranted for its lifetime. Everyone was friendly, and we didn’t feel uncomfortable or anxious like in other dealerships I’ve been to. Just an all around good experience for us. Thanks again Ryan for all of your help!

Brad is a straight shooter who’s not trying to give you an upsell! hands-down the best auto sale I have ever experienced! Bait & Switch

When you purchase a vehicle. The sales person tells you that things are covered. When you take your vehicle in for service you find out that some of what they told you wasn't true. And when you look back at your sales paperwork, you find a lot of tax and upgrade fee's that you should not had paid for. They charge you for some things that they should have paid the tax on, but put it on your side.

Terrible csr

So i just bought my vehicle last week and the starter went out. I'm a single father with custody of my son so this is my only vehicle and nobody seems to be concerened with my situation. Can't seem to get anybody to call me back except to make sure they got my last $1k for my deposit.

Terrible

Service is terrible! Received an oil change and fluids were not filled.I have a warranty which requires my car to be serviced here and I just don’t trust this place at all.My car is currently in the shop no antifreeze two weeks after being serviced.I feel like they either didn’t feel up antifreeze or should’ve realized there was a problem before the car overheated and stalled.Now,I’m without a car for weeks as they don’t provide loaner cars.Did I mention I purchased the car less then 4 months from this location! Terrible

My New 2022 Chevy Equinox LT - Jake Sweeney Chevrolet

Well lets just start off that Kevin VanArsdale, my Sales Rep., was just absolutely amazing. I went in to purchase a 2020 Chevy Equinox and left with a Absolutely Gorgeous 2022 Chevy Equinox. Kevin was not forceful or pushy. He listened, understood, and explained everything. He was quick he didn't keep me waiting on anything. This was by far the BEST experience I have ever had at a any dealership when it comes to Sales Reps. It was a privilege to have Kevin as my Sales Rep for Jake Sweeney Chevrolet. The only recommendations I would even give would be for the personnel that clean a brand new vehicle is that it Brand New there should not be any paint blemishes. For example My 2022 Chevy Equinox LT is White and on the Passenger Side Front Door Handle there is some red color on it which was there when I looked at it to purchase. On another not when I took my new Equinox home that day, my neighbor love it so much that they went the next day to Jake Sweeney and purchased a 2019 Chevy Equinox Black very Nice. Now I am getting ready to go back to Kevin and purchase a 2nd Chevy Equinox for my wife on the 27th. Jake Sweeney Chevrolet in my opinion will always have my business now and in the future. Thanks Kevin you made it the Best, Superb Job!!!!

Service Scam

Took vehicle in for recall and diagnostic test. $220 later they told me about old codes on parts that were already replaced. $65 to tell me I needed more parts and testing for airbag light. It was only a blown fuse. I fixed on my own. Please be careful taking your car in for service here.

Ordered a new truck and they cancelled the order without telling us

Do not purchase, trade, or have your vehicle serviced at this dealership. They are really all about how much money they can make, could care less about customer service, and no care for the brand that they represent. Went to this dealership to place an order for a replacement vehicle. Please keep in mind I have previously bought a truck from them (not the one being replaced) and have had my car serviced there for years. I am also part of the GM Family First. Before placing our order we gave the dealership our case number, adviser's name, and number. They spoke to our advisor, knew that we were placing this order to replace the GM vehicle that we currently own. Days after we spoke with the dealership, we go in and place the order. We placed the five hundred dollar deposit down on this truck and received an order number. THREE WEEKS later this dealership cancelled our order without telling us. We found out when we checked our status on Chevrolet's website. When I spoke with the dealership to find out what happened, I was told that they cancelled the order because they were not going to make any money off of this truck. That was their only excuse as to why they cancelled this order - no other reason than because they were not going to make any money off of this truck. Please do not support this business in any way.

Poor Customer Service, never respond to emails

Terrible service. Temporary tags expired on new leased vehicle, reached out to salesman to figure out where my new tags/plates are, no email or phone call for 5 days. Once he finally got back, he said they were on their way and should be here on the following Thursday. Two days later, he figured out there was an issue with a payment. We fixed that issue and he said they would be send out to me. Over fourteen days later and still no tags/plates. During this process, I received no phone calls, only emails that were always delayed. During the 5 day period of no contact, I tried to ask for the manager, they said he would not be able to help and didn't transfer me. I tried to email the sales manager, no contact from him as well. Never will come back to this trash place again.

No communication

I made an appointment to look at a used vehicle. Upon arrival the Salesman acted as if he didn't know why I asked for him. After I explained why I was there he took my information to allow us to drive the vehicle. He departed and 25 minutes later returned, only to inform us that the vehicle wasn't at that dealership and in fact it was already sold . Why waste the time to set an appointment and my time traveling to purchase a vehicle that had already sold. If, was a bait and switch tacit. It's very unprofessional and in my mind dishonest. I will never recommend or set foot on another Sweeney dealership. We in fact was looking at second vehicle but it also was sold.

Terrible place that’s willing to rip you off

What can I say besides, don’t buy a car from Jake Sweeney Chevrolet (JSC). For those of you looking for a quick read JSC will blatantly lie to you, miss advertises their cars, do not detail or inspect their cars, and will not return phone calls. If I had to say one positive thing about my experience at JSC it would be that JSC does full up your gas tank before you leave the dealership, which I’m assuming is their bare minimum standard to seem like they care about their customers. Fortunately for me, my family has been buying or working for GM for +40 years so I was able to see through their lies but would like to inform other buyers so they can be cautious in their experiences at JSC. Firstly, I will comment on just how JSC will blatantly lie to your face and miss advertise their cars. I went to see a 2017 Cadillac CTS with 3600 miles on it. Fortunately, in a thorough check over, I realized that the car was advertised with over 8000 miles missing from the actual odometer reading (actual mileage was +44000). I was told the $500 they took off the sticker price, which was originally for me “coming in” to JSC, was sufficient for the mileage difference as they did not want the price of the car to reflect the actual mileage of the car. After the pricing and mileage debacle it came time for me to ask about extended warranties. Be careful when buying a extended warranty from JSC as they WILL NOT tell you who you are getting the warranty through until you sign everything. I don’t live in Cincinnati and will be unable to fully use their dealership warranty so I asked for a GMEPP/ GMPP warranty. I originally was told that the finance manager will tell me more about the warranty. After pushing more I was told that GMPP is “not a thing” which is a blatant lie (I will add a link to GM’s web site at the end of the review). After calling them on this the narrative changed to my “Cadillac does not offer GMPP” which also is a blatant lie. I also called them on this lie, then found out that JSC does not offer GM warranties because of their dealership warranty. Finally, after arriving at the finance managers office he reviewed the warranty information with me and I realized that JSC “GMPP equivalent warranty” was actually $2600 of useless exclusive warranties, in other words, it includes everything except a very long list of essential vehicle items (excluded coils, plugs, headlights.. etc). I was told that the $2600 warranty was bumper to bumper which was a lie. My car clearly was not detailed or inspected before being sold. Unfortunately for me, I test drove and bought at night so I did not notice all of the splashes on the steering wheel, on the dash board, the door handles being dirty, and clearly no cleaning was done around the center console of the car. To my surprise when I drove the car the morning after I bought it, I also had to clean and sweep the car. This was very annoying as I had just spent over $25000 for a dirty car. I guess this should not have been a surprise with all of the other events, but the first time I drove in the rain, I also had to stop at Auto Zone for some new windshield wipers. I tried to call the sales manager to see if they would detail the car, get me wiper blades, or even just discuss what they could do to try and repair our relationship however, I missed his call one time and he hasn’t returned or answered any of my 3 calls and messages. How am I supposed to think that your service department will take care of my car (if you want to keep the dealer warranty intact you have to do ALL of your service at JSC), if you can’t even take care of the car before you sell it? Overall, I will not buy another vehicle or have my car serviced at JSC because they quite clearly only care about their bottom line and not the car or the customer buying the car. This was my first vehicle/ GM purchase and even with my family’s long lineage with GM, I likely bought my first and last GM because of Jake Sweeney Chevrolet.

Don’t waste your time

I recently bought a 2017 High Altitude Jeep Patriot from Jake Sweeny at what I thought was a good price. Even with the discount on my car, it's not worth the hassle of doing business with this shady dealership. I had done research online and decided to buy the Patriot for the package it was equipped with, including remote start and keyless entry. I wasn’t aware until I got home ‪around 9:00‬ that night, after waiting 3 hours to speak with someone in finance, that I had only been given a spare key and not the key fob so that I could use the features that made me choose the Jeep to begin with. When I asked the sales guy I had worked with what we could do about getting me a key fob I was told that the dealership could make me one “at cost”; the key fob would be $160 and the programming fee would be $50. (I spoke with another dealership that told me they could do a key plus the programming for $150). I decided that physically going to the dealership would be the best way to actually get something done about it. I spoke with a different salesperson who informed me the manager was too busy to talk with me, but would give me a call ‪Monday morning‬ and would make it right. I spoke with Ryan McMain, the used car sales manager, who told me he would be willing to split the cost of the key fob, but that it would still cost me $100. After explaining to him that I would have gladly paid for a fob if I had known while I was there originally there, but since it wasn’t negotiated as part of the cost I would like to have one provided as it should have been in the first place. He told me he understood but they simply couldn’t do that. An argument ensued and finished with Ryan telling me he was done and practically hanging up on me. In my opinion this is ludicrous, a reasonable person would expect that their 3-year-old vehicle advertised with remote start and keyless entry would come standard with a key fob to use those features. A reasonable person would also expect for the dealership to take their customer satisfaction seriously. I assured Ryan that I would make sure to let as many people as I could know that Jake Sweeny Chevrolet is shady, to which he responded “make sure you let them know what a great deal you got on that car too”, shortly before hanging up on me. So, People of Yelp, I’d like to let you know exactly what sort of “great deal” I got on my car. I paid $15,000, a pretty standard price for this car, but by no means a “great” deal. At the time of signing I also paid a $250 dealership fee, $300 for a warranty package I was told was included. Now I’ll have to shell out another $100, at least, for a key fob and I’ll have to pay to get the car detailed because Jake Sweeny didn’t bother to make sure the car was cleaned before it left the lot. All in all, this ended up not being the good deal I thought I was getting, and certainly not the great deal they want me to believe I got. Don’t waste your time and money with these [non-permissible content removed].

Jake Sweeney Service Running a Scam

I brought my car in for a 50k service. I told Tiffany about a wheel sensor that has been out for 1.5 years. She would get me a price on one. Well after leaving there, none of my wheel pressure sensors work now. I had no issues for 1.5 years, then I bring it there and now none work. She also told me the same thing happened to 2 other people the day before me. then she said if I bought the 1 sensor it would probably fix them all. Sounds like a scam when I had no issues before. I had rotated tires before, but now they dont work.
