Won’t be back

I dropped off my vehicle for service. I needed an oil change, tires rotated and balance. I have the package to get free oil change and tire rotation. I was told that the balance would be extra. It was $103. That’s ridiculous. Before I picked up I got a call saying I should think about my cabin filter, engine filter and fuel system cleaning. The total for those would be $315. I called my friend who is a mechanic and they told me that was a rip off. When I picked up my vehicle I got in and my cabin filter and glove box were in my floor board. I had to wait additional time for them to put that back in.

I highly recommend Deacon Jones in Smithfield. We have nothing but positive things to say. Everyone is friendly, and helpful. We purchased our vehicle there. When I bring my van in for service, they do a great job . They work very efficiently. They keep me updated on stage or recommendations.

popping sounds under van

Professionalism and Excellance in Service

I have purchased multiple vehicles over many years from Deacon Jones in Smithfield, NC and have come to know some of the Deacon Jones family of employees personally. I experienced the same great quality of customer service from the vehicle sales department to the vehicle service department. They take pride in their customers and in the vehicles that they sell. If you experience an issue with anything related to the purchased vehicle they will resolve that issue hassle free and in a timely manner. The service department not only does a fantastic job servicing the vehicle but also lets you know in advance if they find a potential problem with your vehicle that needs attention before it becomes an issue with performance. They make sure that you are completely satisfied with your serviced vehicle before you checkout. This is my experience with Deacon Jones.

Honesty and Integrity

My husband and I recently purchased a 2015 and dealt with Jeff Etten, the General Manager at this dealership. We had went to several other dealerships before coming to Deacon Jones. I have to say we almost did not purchase any vehicle due to the fact we had received promises on the phone from other dealerships that they could and would meet our trade in value and budget limit. We visited these dealerships and needless to say they did not keep their promise over the phone. We ended up spending hours only to end up with the dealerships offer being thousands over our limit or budget. We were already pre-approved through for the loan and they still wanted $3,000 down and only offered $10,000 for our trade. I received a call from Deacon Jones the next day. I was so frustrated and stressed out. We had decided the night before that we would keep our current vehicle since it was a 2013 Dodge Dart with only 24,700 in mileage and still under warranty. The call center listened to me tell her about how I and my husband felt and asked if I would hold on and speak to Jeff Etten, the GM before giving up. Jeff was very kind, he listened to my frustration. I told him that going to these dealerships was wasting my time and theirs because they were not being honest with me or my husband. He asked if I could give him the Vin # of our Dart and sight unseen told me he would give me $12,000 for our trade. He was honest, extremely professional and asked me what I was looking for and what options I and my husband wanted. I told him a 2105 journey sxt and we would like to have some of the options we had in our Dart. He gave a figure at first of $27,900 and I offered $26,400 out the door with the trade. He accepted. I told my husband he didn't believe me. He said wait till we go out there and they start changing numbers on us. I told him I trusted Jeff and believed he would be a man of his word. Guess what he was!!!! We walked into Deacon Jones and was introduced to Jeff almost immediately. He greeted both my husband and I and a few minutes later said your truck is outside and ready to go for you. He took us outside and he looked over the truck to make sure it was cleaned up properly for us. I walked him over to our Dart. He simply walked around the car and briefly looked inside and stated Well I told you $12,000 and that is what it is. We went back into the dealership. He walked away for a few a minutes. Jeff returned and showed me the paperwork and where the break down was for our final purchase. Right to the penny!!!! It was exact!! He said he was going to leave but was leaving us in good hands. He was right Chris the salesman was so kind, helpful and professional. He took us back to Ken the finance manager. He was polite, professional and yet put us at ease with our purchase. I have to say I could go on and on about Jeff and the Dealership. If I had just a few words to say about it I would say Honest, Trustworthy, Respectful and Professional combined into one!!!! Thank you so much, Jeff you and Deacon Jones are truly One Of a Kind and you have my husband and I for a very long time as a customer, along with anyone who should ask about buying a new vehicle. I will point them right to you!!!! Their motto is true; "We Treat People The Way They Would Like To Be Treated" and that is the truth!

Great Experience

I am writing to relate to you the buying experience that I had at Deacon Jones Dodge. I watched a commercial that gave a front and rear shot of the 2011 Charger. On Tuesday, March 1st. I went to the Dodge showroom. In my hand I had a copy of a window sticker that I printed from the Dodge web site. I had done some research and discovered that the car I wanted was in transit to Hendrick Dodge and had not arrived. When I walked into the dealership I asked to see a sales person, Paula was at the desk and asked if she could help me. I handed her the window sticker and told her that I wanted “that” car. She looked at the paper and took me to her office. She started telling me about some of the new features. I told her that I knew she did not have that car, in fact I couldn’t find it anywhere else. I asked if she could get the car that was on the truck going to Cary. I gave her a business card and told her to get back with me. About 1730hrs she called me and told me that there was not another car like that one for at least a 500 mile radius and that the sales manager was going to see if they could get the car from Hendrick. At 1930hrs the sales manager called me and told me that they were still trying to get the car but was having some difficulty getting Hendrick to let it go. The next day I emailed an offer and my expectations for a price on my trade. The deal was made and I picked up my new Charger Thursday afternoon. I have purchased many cars over the years; the last Chrysler product was a 1980 Dodge Omni that I purchased new. (We will forget about that one) Paula is a plain spoken, down to earth person. She did what appeared to me to be pretty amazing. Together with others on your staff, a car was purchased while it was still on a truck, going to another dealer. The service and personal attention that I received was top notch. The car is amazing. To get this car from a truck to your dealership and into my garage in two days was impressive. I have had sports cars to clunkers in the past 30 years of car buying, I can honestly say that this car is the most fun to drive that I have ever had, and I currently own a Mustang GT, this car will beat that one hands down in all categories. I also own a Cadillac STS V8, yep you guessed it, far more fun to drive than that one. I would like to give Kudos to your staff, especially Paula, I am extremely satisfied with the way I was treated by everyone involved in the deal. This is the first car that I have purchased from you folks, but I can promise you it will not be the last.
