Unscrupulous Service Department - [non-permissible content removed]

We used the service department here and it is the biggest rip off in Hudson County. The manager (Rich, who I'm shocked still has a job) even promised me a partial refund, which never arrived. I called to follow up and Gabriel told me they mailed a check, but that was a lie, just like everything they say. Lying is their whole brand here. They did over $1K repairs on a totaled car (and suggested we do over $3K in repairs, but we only did what was 'needed now'), and then they tried to convince us to do a further $6K in repairs, while discouraging us from calling the insurance company. My husband hit something in the road over a year ago. Their exact words were "calling Geico will be a waste of your time, since you don't have a real accident date". We called insurance and this happens all the time. Insurance paid out the totaled car and Metro Honda never got another dollar from us. Coincidence? Not a chance in hell. Literally take your car ANYWHERE else for service. We even looked at the cars they had on the lot while we were there and our salesperson (Jorge) was high as a kite. I'm shocked they are still in business with their unscrupulous practices.

Avoid this Dealership Like the Plague

Metro Honda was a terrible experience. on 10/25 I went in to look at a Honda Civic, but was told that the car wasn't ready for sale despite being listed on the website. I was shown a few other cars as well. I settled on a 2016 Subaru Forester that was listed online in the same price range as the Honda and went for a test drive. The actual price was several thousand dollars more than the price listed online. It seemed fine and I signed the papers on it and drove it home after scheduling some service to fix an A/C issue. I was promised that the dealership would cover the cost of that expense and any other issue that cropped up. When I got to my service appointment on the 28th, the shop was slammed and I was asked to reschedule, which I did for 11/4. The day before my new appointment, the engine started smoking and I immediately let the dealership know. I was encouraged to bring the car in and let the shop know what happened. After dropping off the car and waiting several hours I was told that the dealership wouldn't be servicing the vehicle at all since it was sold "as is", not even the A/C issue that I was promised. I took the car the Subaru dealership where it was last serviced before being sold to Metro and they told me that the previous owner brought the car in with the smoking engine issue before selling it, never had it addressed (which is why the Carfax didn't list it) and then sold it to Metro. I was sold a car that had catastrophic engine damage when the dealership bought it, and now I'm on the hook for $6-$7K to fully replace the engine. Metro wouldn't connect me to the General Manager and is not blocking my calls to the dealership. Avoid this dealership like the plague.

Quick easy and a great experience

We saw the new CRV over the weekend at a friends and my wife and I decided to Cody metro Honda for a test drive. We were not expecting to leave with a 2023 CRV a couple hours later! Juan was attentive and extremely knowledgeable and everyone else we met had a smile! A refreshing pleasure and glad we chose metro.

Satisfied Customer - Rachel is the best.

I told Rachel how important for my car to be working at 100%. As my children ride in this vehicle. She offer me a free multi-point inspection. Which I was then able to get a better idea on what my car may need. Completely Satisfied with the service. vehicle is running like new. Rachel was very nice and helpful. Awesome Experience

They made me wait 3.5 hours for a regular oil change.

Have everything in writing! They will say anything just to make he sale! When we got this car from this dealership, the finance guy promised us a free oil change for the first one. When I talked to the service rep, he said there’s nothing on our account that says that. He checked further - the salesperson who helped us is off that day, finance guy already left the company, and the finance manager knows nothing about it. So there’s nothing we can do but pay for it. We got our previous car from Tenafly Honda and we had no problem with the free oil change/s they gave us - these was automatically applied to our account.

Trust issues

I have a 2021 Honda Odyssey which is still under warranty. I had issues of some noise from the rear tire and so I took the minivan to Metro Honda to fix the issue. I was told that they have to run diagnostics to find out the issue, they also found that the rear wheel alignment was not right and had to be fixed. I was handed over the van saying that the issue is fixed. I was charged $193.35. To my disappointment I find that the issue is still not resolved. I was not told why the wheel alignment was not covered under warranty. I was not given print outs of the readings before and after. I was not provided details of what diagnostics were done. The agent was in a hurry to move on to the next car. I had mentioned that there could be issues with the tire, I am not even sure if it was checked at all.

Stay Away - You have been Warned

Worst Customer Service. Their service department is so bad - don't have words to describe it. Staff is rude and unable to handle basic tasks. Something as simple as dropping of a car for Service took 30-45 minutes after which I aborted my attempt and went back home. I escalated to their manager but he does not care. Not sure who hired an incompetent person like him for the job. They then told me drop off the key in the service Dropbox (which they did not check till I called 5 times). My Car was not serviced and was kept overnight. I have had other issues with their service department from day 1. If you tell them there are 5 things wrong with the car - they will fix 2 issues and forget the rest. unprofessional and unreliable. I would recommend everyone to stay away from this dealership.

Do not buy a warranty and do not count on any kind of service from Metro

I bought a used Honda, and bought their extended warranty. A few months after purchasing the car the transmission started thunking and lurching between the lower gears. After leaving me to die in the waiting room all day even though I had an appointment, they finally came back at the end of the day and said "Honda says you have to change the transmission fluid and drive it around three times. Also, this isn't covered under the warranty so it will cost you $700." When I picked up the car I noticed the odometer had not moved since I dropped the car, though the scope of work included driving the car around 3 times to let the 3 changes of transmission fluid circulate. A few days later the problem came back, and this time my wife brought the car back. The mechanic said the solution was to reset the transmission computer... so they charged me 700 for the wrong service that didn't fix the problem, and then lied about doing the fluid change in the first place. Peter, the manager, agreed to send a refund for half the money, but he deliberately mis-addressed the check! He actually said "oh, you don't need to include the apartment number" and now the check got lost once it was delivered to the building, I have not received it, and he won't send a replacement. He avoids our calls. The takeaways: They don't respect appointments and don't respect your time They will charge you for work that you do not need They will lie about doing work they state they have performed. These guys are [non-permissible content removed] and they will waste your time. Avoid this place at all costs.

Canceled appointment after arriving, TWICE!!!

This is the worst service place in the tri state area!!! Don’t ever go here if you want to actually be serviced! I live in Brooklyn, made appointment for services because the local mechanics were booked for weeks, and in middle of the way they called to cancel with an excuse that they are understaffed. I made an appointment a few days later, called them to confirm that i will be serviced, and they said “sure, come over.” I arrived after an hour drive, and they again said they are overbooked and understaffed. It didn’t matter that they already canceled my appointment once, or that I specifically called to confirm that they will service my car or the fact that I came all the way from brooklyn. Would’ve given zero stars if it was possible. Brandon is the guy who would not take care of my car.

DON'T COME HERE

PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!! Once they close you out, they leave you in the dark. Came here a few months ago and purchased a 2018 accord and one of the sales associates told me he had the spare key, the previous owner just had to drop it off. Also that he would make an appointment to get my rear brakes done because as a certified pre-owned car the rotors were looking a worn. Called, texted, and went there several times only to be ignored or "we'll take care of it some other time." Went there today because I was tired of the back and forth and spoke to Benny today and he literally told me "I could promise you the stars and the moon, but if its not written in the deal, you're out of luck." .
