onWe had tires mounted that we had purchased elsewhere. The TPM didn’t activate. They called where we got the tires from and took our jeep over there to be activated for us. That saved us a trip there and then having to bring it back to them later. I trust these guys and won’t let anyone else work on it.

onI had an appointment for an oil change on Tuesday at 8:30AM. One would think that not being a Monday, and quite early in the morning, that one would get rather prompt service. Nay, nay I say. It was after 10:30 when I left. During the exit interview, he mentioned that I needed a tire rotation. Usually they will mention the air filter, because it needs changing at the same rate as the oil, and it's an easy sale. Not today. What is the sense in making an appointment if it's going to take 2 hours to complete a 15 minute job? Oh, did I mention that 3 other people came into the waiting area and left while I was there? It made me wonder what repair or maintenance takes less time than an oil change.

After 20,000 miles Finally fixed and drivable

onAfter 4 dealerships and 3 alignments These guys appear to have gotten it right. I have about 1,200 miles towing (18,000lbs) on the truck since the folks at Lithia performed the alignment and tire wear is what I'd expect. I can tow with it and not wrestle it down the road every single mile....like it should be. They updated the TCM and I haven't had the crazy down shifts in traffic when towing or the fall on it's face experience when accelerating onto an interstate pulling 18,000lbs behind me. It would appear that the update solved a lot of the drivability issues. I didn't have a puddle of old oil on the concrete after the oil change like at the other dealerships. Its not to much to ask for the waste oil to be wiped from the undercarriage after an oil change and I appreciate that these guys at Lithia did that. Its the little things like that which gives you confidence that the mechanic cares about what they are doing and not just going through the motions. So that's three wins in a row. Now as far as the dead petal, It is still pretty dead when its 80+ degrees and not towing but it hasn't just laid there either like it used to. In cool weather 60'ish degrees it was never an issue so not surprising they didn't find that to be an issue. RAM/Cummins would do well to tune that out of the fueling map/torque management, Its dangerous. My 2014 2500 Cummins and 2018 3500 Cummins were not even close to this bad. I am sure if I had mentioned it was temp related they would have picked up on it. Anyway the fact that the tires will last longer than 20,000 miles and that I don't have to guess what the truck is going to do when driving it is a win all around. Would I take it back to them Absolutely. Do I think they care about the customer Absolutely. When the service advisor actually listens to you instead of arguing with you well isn't that the way its supposed to be?...Thanks Chris, your the man, much appreciated.

onFirst, apparently my part had come in, but they didn't contact me right away so I waited an extra week or two. Second, I scheduled an oil change at the same time, but this is the first time in 6 years that they didn't put a new sticker on the windshield. The final issue was with my key fob. When I picked up my car, they mentioned the key fob wasn't working well. I told them how I replaced the battery several times since I bought the car and agreed that the key fob wasn't working very well. Of course, I wound up buying two batteries for the key fobs at a much higher price than I pay at Walmart. Guess what? I still have the same problem with the key fob so it isn't the battery at all. I have normally gotten very good service in the past so I'm hugely bummed about my last visit.

Service Manager needs customer service training

onThe purchasing experience was rather smooth and Kaycee did an excellent job showing us our options and working within our parameters. Mr. Mihm was clear and succinct with his explanation of the financing portion. The follow on experience and the multitude of instances I had to interact with the Service Manager, Howard Reed, however was quite the opposite experience. Three days after purchase my TPMS light was illuminated on my dash, suspecting I had already picked up a nail, I took it into the Costco Tire Center. During the inspection, a rope plug was located. I have been Michelin and Bridgestone certified to Tire Industry Association standards and adhere to Rubber Manufacturer Associations guidelines in regards to tire repairs. I will not waste the time explaining all of that at this time, but over the span of two weeks Howard proceeded to argue and question my integrity regarding tire repairs and the necessity for replacement and not a plug and patch. He stated he reached out to multiple shops that would simply plug and be on its way. I provided a multitude of literature to attempt to educate Howard as he informed me he has very little specialty knowledge regarding tires. During my second trip within 24 hours to discuss with Howard, he stated that replacing two tires makes sense. Repeatedly stating, "the writing is on the wall". After two weeks of back and forth a solution was finally agreed upon that entailed exchanging tires/wheels with another jeep. It was a less than honorable experience to have to interact with Howard. His consistent attempt to degrade my integrity even though he went back on his word on ordering two tires on April 15. I had not heard anything for almost a week. When I stopped by Lithia on the 20th, Howard went back on his word and said a simple repair would do. This only continued to exacerbate the issue. It did not seem to matter the amount of evidence I provided Howard, his lack of humility and immaturity imposed on his ability to respectfully take care of a customer. When he finally contacted me regarding what I had provided he said that it was still debatable. I am unsure what definition of respect and customer service he follows, but I find it quite inferior and subpar to even the most basic requirements. Continuing forward with transgressions conducted by a business that continues to fail customers. The temporary registration expired on the aforementioned vehicle. Upon contacting the County Treasurer, I was informed that paperwork had not been submitted by the dealership. After leaving two voicemails with the person responsible for paperwork, interacting with the chat option on their website and having a Salesman reach out to the paperwork department over the span of 5 business days, I have had no return correspondence. It appears that multiple individuals employed by CJD Lithia of Helena embody similar regressed levels of respect and struggle at conducting themselves in a reputable manner.

onI have been bringing my Jeep here since I bought it. Howard, Brian, and the entire service team are awesome! They have always tried to fit me in when I needed major service or just an oil change. I know many shy away from dealerships for service but I would recommend to bring your Jeep to this service team all day long.
