onChad Rose was our salesman and we greatly appreciated his knowledge and professionalism. He quickly gained an understanding of what my wife and I were looking for and catered his sales to our desires. We ended up buying a pre-owned Honda Pilot and as well as a Honda CR-V. Throughout the entire process we felt like he was an advocate for getting us what we desired in an automobile. His follow-up after each sale was exceptionally helpful but never intrusive.

Outstanding Service

onThis was our first experience with leasing a new vehicle. Chad Rose helped answer all of our questions and was very accommodating to us. On several occasions I asked Chad to show me both new and used vehicles as well as some from another dealership. He always took the time to answer all of our questions (In person and through email) and explain the details and costs related to purchasing and leasing. We were not pressured or rushed which made us feel comfortable with our decision to work with Chad and sales staff at Battle Creek Honda.

Quite Different Car Shop Experience

onGreat experience with sales consultant Kevin Bartlam. Unlikely other salesperson from my car shopping experience in the past, he was very processional manner and knowledge of products. He gave the best price up front and very easy to discuss about pricing and trading in my car. Less email and phone calls... Made the transaction simple and easy.

Classic Bait and Switch

onThis dealer is [violative content deleted]. Classic bait and switch. I went with the intention of getting a new Accord. One that was listed on their website as well as on several other third party websites [violative content deleted] as being in stock. I even called to verify. As of this posting the car is still listed on their website as being in stock. On arriving at the dealer and asking for that specific vehicle I was told they never had that vehicle on the lot. Regardless I test drove a different car and when I sat down with the dealer to talk price, I was told that sticker was what I had to pay, they refused to deal on the price. Both the manager and the sales guys were rather rude. I guess customer service is not big here at all. Avoid this place at all costs! Your wallet will thank you!

Sale was great, service after sale not so great

onI would agreee with the first review that the price was reasonable, the salesman was professional, and for low pressure. We bought a 2008 Honda Civic Coupe, as a new vehicle, almost exactly one year ago and the purchase went as smoothly as any vehicle purchase I've ever had. The problem began about 2 months ago when my wife took the car in for unusual noise from the rear of the car. The service department told my wife the rear tires were cupped and that the rear wheels were out of alignment. Battle Creek Honda told my wife that since she had never rotated her tires and she had 20,000 miles on the car they could do nothing to help. This is a very long story but to shorten it up a bit I tried getting the dealership to fix the problem, they said it was a Honda problem, I tried to get Honda to help, they didn't return my call andrequest for two weeks and refused to help after my wife called them for the third time. I then e-mailed the manager from Battle Creek Honda, Mel Matuschka, he failed to answer my email so I called him. Mel listened to my complaint, said he would talk with "the powers that be" on Monday and he would get back with me. Tuesday Mel called and said they weren't going to help us out with repairs to the car. Things you need to know: Honda admits they have had problems with many 2006, 2007, and hybrid 2008 Honda civics having rear control arms that were too short causing early rear alignment problems and cupping of rear tires. The car we own started this problem at around 18,000 miles which is pretty normal for everyone who complains about this problem in on-line forums although supposedly our car doesn't have a problem caused by Honda. Battle Creek Honda many times told us this was a Honda problem, Honda told us that we would have to work with the local dealer. This entire problem eventually cost us $285.00 to fix and had Battle Creek Honda agreed to pay even a small portion of this repair I would have been at least mildly pleased with the outcome. Since Battle Creek Honda did not help us in any way I will tell everyone I know that they should never purchase a car from Battle Creek Honda. Stay away from this dealership.

Best deal and courtesy from the start

onI'm an internet shopper and price means a great deal to me. What means more than that is a dealer that is willing to give his best price right at the start. A car shopper doesn't want to have to putz around with dealers who will overcharge you unless they can steal the deal from someone else. Kevin Bartlam at Battle Creek Honda gave me the best quote right from the beginning. I didn't have to dicker with him or experience all the other unpleasantness that I had gone through with previous vehicle purchases. He beat every other quote by $500 and some quotes by more than $2000. Of course, YMMV. He didn't have the color we wanted though and Battle Creek is over two hours away from our house. I told a few other dealers the price he quoted and the response often was "Ha! Let me know what happens when you get out there! Then give me a call and I'll sell you a car." Well, the only thing that happened out there was a pleasant experience with no high-pressure sales. Kevin was able to get the color we wanted, everything was negotiated before we even went out there, and there were no surprise charges or crazy discussions about warranties and rust-proofing. I'm really glad we took the drive out there and bought from Kevin. It was a pleasant experience.
